Do I need to transport webtemplate when I send query changes?
Hai All,
I have moved my new query, web template for the query and the role to test from dev some time ago. Now I made some changes to query. Do I need to send all these 3 again to BWT? , OR, just sending the query changes will be ok?.

to delete a query - open a TR for the query and delete it in BeX and transport it through to PROD.
Otherwise you can go to SE09 and see the transport objects ( locked objects ) the same would have a trashcan icon against the query elements in the lock overview.
Also even if you create a new query using the same technical name - you will have to update the web template and transport it again to PROD - this is because the queries are stored as 32 character GUIDS which will not be repeated even if the query technical name is the same.

Transport Required when Creating New Query
I am attempting to create a new query on an InfoProvider which has several existing queries written on it. After I have created the query in development when I attempt to save the query I receive an error saying the "query could not be saved due to a problem in transport. BEx transport request '' is not available or suitable".
It appears that the system is looking for a BEx transport to be assigned via RSA1 but since this is a new report I believe I should be able to save the report to TMP and assign a transport at a later time.
Am I correct in my assumption and, if so, any thoughts why I'm receiving this error?Hi Jonathan,
Unfortunately, you do need a transport request if you are using already transported objects in yur new query definition. Even if you assign a request in RSA1 > transport connection, you will need to log out and logback into BEx before you can save your query. As an option and to save part of your development effort, you can remove these objects from your definition and save it. Then log out, assign a request and log back into BEx and then add the other objects to your query.
About the points: There seems to be something wrong with it for the past couple of days and I assume SDN is working to fix it. May be you can check back later and see if it is available... -
Do I need to return charger when I send my MacBook pro back to Apple?
Apple is issuing me a replacement for my two year old MBP. When I send my old MBP back to Apple do I need to send back the charger too? Common sense would say yes but when I returned my 1st gen Nano for replacement it was specified that I only return the device itself, no cables or packaging. But a laptop charger has a lot more monetary value that a USB-to-30pin. Not really a huge deal either way but it would be handy to have an extra charger. I may get an answer when my return shipping label info arrives but maybe someone who has been in a similar situation can give me an answer first.

If you use the same ID and phone number across all the devices the messages will trickle down to all of them.
As Axeman said, go into settings on all devices and uncheck the phone numbers or email addresses you don't want to have that device access. -
How to find the when the password is changed for a system User

We have a test database where our application connects to system user. The application runs more than a month without any issues, But suddenly my system and sys password gets changed. I wonder how this would happen. I have checked with DBA_USERS to check whether the account gets locked, But the account is in the Open state.
I need to find out when the password gets changed for these users and who changed it? Is there any possible to trace it or we need to enable the auditing to find it in future.
Kindly let me know the possible ways.

Thank yougo to transaction code STMS_IMPORT in your production system. Refresh the import queue. If you can not see the request, go to "Extras>Other Request->add".. Enter the request number and click ok. If you still can not find the request that means there is no datafiles and cofiles for that request or you have to bring the data file and cofiles for that request manually. This depends on your transport settings.
But I guess you have moved the request from DEV to QAS. isn't it?..that means ...datafiles and cofiles are there.

Don´t create the transport copies when the change goes to test

I am using Solman 7.1 SP8. I am in step of the test og the ChaRM.
The scenario is:
- maintenance project;
- normal change;
ERROR : when I put the change to "pass Normal Change to Test", showed a follow messages:
And the didn´t change of the status of the Normal Change.
And the didn´t create of the transport copies.

my ipad has IOS 5.1.1 version and i know there is newer update for them as when i go to download certain apps it wont let me because it needs IOS 7 but when i have plugged it into itunes it says no update needed?

From your post it appears that you are using an earlier iPad, which can only update to iOS 5. Some developers do offer compatible versions of their apps for people running older iOS versions, but ultimately it is up to that developer to make an older version. Why is my daughter receiving my text messages on her itouch when I send them from my iphone? We are both on icloud so how can I separate the two? Do I need another icould or apple account??
It's happening because you are using the same Apple ID for iMessage. You don't need to do anything with your iCloud account to fix this. You should create a separate Apple ID for her device to use with iMessage and FaceTime. (You can continue to share the same ID for purchasing from the iTunes and App stores if you wish; it doesn't need to be the same as the ID you use for other services.) Once you've done this, on her device go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID. Do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.
Another caution is that if you share and iCloud account with her, any data you both sync with the account such as contacts, will be merged and the merged data will appear on both devices. If you don't want to end up with each other's contacts, calendars, etc. on your devices, you should have separate iCloud accounts to. If you want to make this change, go to Settings>iCloud on her device and tap Delete Account. (This only deletes the account from the device, not from iCloud.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data be sure to choose Keep On My iPod. Then set up a new iCloud account with her new ID, turn on iCloud data syncing again, and when prompted choose Merge. -
When I send a text message I do not get any confirmation that it has been delivered. Is there any way of getting an automated message confirmation delivery and time? I was used to this with my old phone and need to know that my text message has been delivered to the recipient's phone, and when.
Thanks. So there's no means of knowing whether a text message has been delivered, not to mention time of delivery. Perhaps I've gone for the wrong phone. It might do a lot but seems to miss out on some basics.

Sounds to me more like you have the Display Performance set on Typical rather than High Quality Display. Unless there is a problem with a missing or out-of-date link, the display in ID has nothing to do with output quality -- all of the image data is used for output.

I have Thunderbird version 24.3.0 downloaded to my Windows 7 computer.
When I send an email in Thunderbird it looks fine and when the recipient receives it, it looks fine on the screen, but when she tries to print it, the font is unreadably small. This happens on every email I send her, but not other people's emails she receives. It has happened on some of the emails I receive back from her that contain the information I sent her.
Is there a setting I need to fix or something I can do on my end to address this so this doesn't happen. She is receiving email through AOL online. I believe she is viewing it through either IE or Chrome.I recently tried sending myself an email through Thunderbird to another email account to see if that was the case, but the email came in with a font so tiny that it was unreadable. I had chosen a font type and size (arial 10) and just coming into my outlook inbox was virtually unreadable.
And referring to the person I work with, she doesn't have problems getting anyone else's emails, just ones I send from Thunderbird. -
Restating my issue / question...
When I send email from this iMac, there is a string of characters assigned. The characters are all the "alpha numeric" characters on the QWERTY key board. This only occurs when email is sent from this iMac. The issue does not manifest when using any other lap top or computer.
Hence, I have ruled out the issue is a yahoo mail matter.
Again, I can access the Yahoo mail account form multiple devices and send email without unintended assignment of character strings, but when I send wmail using this iMac, the issue happens everytime.
Characters are stacked verticaly in a column. It looks as if all characters (except function keys) are included in the string.
Any ideas?

Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time.
