I have tried to just install the new version of itunes from the apple website, it looks like it downloads but after 5 minutes at the end of the install it says 'old version of itunes cannot be uninstalled, please contact support.'?
Is there anyway I can remove the version of itunes from my computer? i dont mind if i lose the music/content I already have on my itunes. I need to do this as i have just received the iphone 4 and need to install the newest version of itunes.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Can't install 30 day trial, Adobe Support is no help

I've had no help at all from Adobe Support over the last couple days and have grown extremely frustrated.
I'm trying to install CS6 on my new Mac. I deactivated it on my PC, but when I try to install it on my Mac, I'm told my serial number is invalid. After some research, I've learned I need to contact Adobe about this to do a cross grade, but none of the support outlets are working for me. The phone number says there is no phone support for CS, and the chat is perpetually not available or fails just as I get in contact with an employee. Sometimes it works but I can't answer back even though I can see answers coming in.
In the meantime, I wanted to install a 30 day trial of CS6 so I don't get too behind on my work, but when I try installing it, I get the message that I need to close Safari first. I've followed all the steps Adobe provides in making sure the application is closed, and it most certainly is, but I still get the message that Safari needs to be closed. When I try to contact Adobe about this, I run into the same problems. This time, chat isn't even offered to me as an option.
I don't know what I'm supposed to do, and Adobe has done nothing to help me in addressing my issues. Can anyone please point me in the right direction to fixing these problems? I would greatly appreciate it.

Lindsay Duet I am sorry you have faced so much difficulty contacting our support team. You may want to try utilizing a different web browser if you continue to face difficulty contacting support.
In regards to needing to close Safari. Have you tried closing the process using the Activity Monitor located in the Applications/Utilities folder? If so then please reboot your computer, make sure Safari is quit, and try the installation again.
Finally you are welcome to purchase the upgrade to CS6 online. Please make sure that you choose Mac OS when purchasing the upgrade. You will want to make sure you are logged into the same account which has your copy of CS5 registered when you make the purchase. You can purchase the upgrade to CS6 at Creative Suite 6.

if you have only one OS on your pc. the answer is NO. but you may encounter some problem there. so to avert that, you can do a complete uninstall for the previous version of firefox 3.6.x

you bought the upgrade version meaning you have a previously purchased lightroom. after entering your lr5 serial number you're being prompted for that previous version's serial number.
enter the correct number at the correct time and installation will proceed.
if you made an error and do not own a previous version, Return, cancel, or exchange an Adobe order

Need Help Uninstalling PP CS4 Trial

I have had CS4 Design Standard on my pc for a while now. I recently downloaded the trial version of Premiere Pro CS4 which has now expired. I have decided not to purchase it and would like to uninstall it (it takes up a lot of space that I would like back). When I begin the uninstall I'm brought to the "Choose Products to Uninstall" screen. In this screen when I choose to uninstall Encore CS4, OnLocation CS4 and Premiere Pro CS4 it automatically selects to uninstall Bridge CS4, Speech Analysis Models, Device Central CS4, Extension Manager CS4, and several Supporting Components which include fonts, scripts, update manager, etc. How can I uninstall Premiere Pro without uninstalling these programs which I assume are needed for the rest of my CS4 programs to function properly? I've included two images as an example. Thanks in advance...

Fear not, Logic Studio is just a full version of Logic. It will install additional AU instruments, Main Stage application and over 40 Gb of loops (if you choose so). But I am sure your preferences will remain the same. As it is the same 8th version, then there's nothing to be worried about, I suppose.

I'm feeling pretty stupid now, since I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.
I'm running Windows 7/ 64 bit. I've got Flash player version 11.1.102.63
I'm having Spotify problems, and Spotify support asked me to uninstall and reinstall Flash Player before reinstalling Spotify. But I can't seem to get the blessed thing to uninstall.

I've killed everything killable on the toolbar. I've checked with Task Manager to see if any applications are running (none are). There are still processes running I've run the uninstaller in Administration mode and in user mode and in every mode I can think of, but when I restart after uninstalling, I've still got the Flash Player installed-- same version. I get no error messages when I run it, it just (apparently) doesn't work.)
Any ideas? Any stupid mistakes I might be making?

I think the 30 day trials adobe give us is awesome, but time sure does go by fast.
I downloaded the 30 day trial for Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Photoshop.
In the last 30 days I spent most of my time on lynda.com trying to learn what I could about dreamerweaver and fireworks before deciding if I wanted to purchase them or not.
I have since purchased Dreamweaver and Fireworks, two great programs!
Anyway I only got to try photoshop a few times before my 30 day trial ran out. So the last two days I have been working with the Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 30 day trial and it's nothing like PhotoShop CS5, neither is photoshop elements.
I'm really leaning towards purchasing PhotoShop CS5 next, but would like to try it some more first. Is there anyway I can get anther 30 day trial?

Adobe grants you the ability to activate two copies of your software. If you install Windows on your Mac, you can run DW and FW for Windows on both your Win7 box and the new MacBook. You can't do that if you change your DW and FW licenses to Mac.
