Do I need to uninstall old Download manager exe (Akamai?) file from past trial to install new one?

I just purchased CS5.5 Design Premium (student edition) at Amazon. Everything went smoothly while validating that I am a student. I installed the 1st of 2 disks. Second one won't install.
The PDF help sheet says to look for DesignPremium_CS5_5_LSx.exe in my program files to extract the files from the second disk, but its not in there.
Since I purchased this at Amazon, even though I have the correct serial number, I can't re-download the manger.exe file from Adobe because it is not in MyOrders at the Adobe store.
Perhaps it could be because last semester I downloaded different trials, I think Master Suite 5.5 and maybe Flash 5, but I can't remember for sure.
When this problem surfaced over the weekend, I went back and tried to uninstall all the trial stuff (they don't work anymore anyway), but still no luck.

You can always download the trial and input your serial. Other than that I'm sure there is a way to get your downloads from Amazon, you will probably just have to contact their customer support to unlock it again so it's available from your account there...

    If you are talking about the built-in download manager it can not be uninstalled, if it is a third party download manager, check the Firefox add-ons manager or the Windows Control panel add/remove programs to see if it is listed in either of those locations.

    Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
    The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
    Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

    Here is the contents of a batch file which will convert whatever raws you drop on it:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe DNG Converter" -cr7.1 -dng1.4 -p0 %*
    Once you download the latest converter (release candidate from adobe labs, if necessary), and save the appropriate contents of the batch file (change path to match your system, and parameters to match your druthers, if applicable), the procedure is:
    1. Drop raw files on bat file.
    2. Import as usual (the DNGs).
    Not too bad once you're set up (if DNG converter supports your raws).

  • Unable to clear a specific file from the Download Manager. This file (type: .flv) download is "paused" and I cannot Resume or Clear from the history. Help anyone ?

    I noticed a certain file is "stuck" in the Download Manager. The file download appears to be Paused and all attempts to remove / clear / resume have not worked. The file is a .flv type. The mouse-over info does show the url address and it shows 40MB /40MB complete. Help anyone ?

  • Need Help to re-download my Photoshop Elements 12+Premiere Elements 12 to a new laptop Win-8 64-bit

    When I purchased the special deal of Photoshop Elements 12+Premiere Elements 12, I owned a Windows Vista (32-bit) laptop. When I downloaded my purchase, all went smoothly, no problems w/Photoshop when I used the mouse's wheel-scroll feature, it helped me zoom in to specifically pinpoint areas in pictures t/b fixed, etc.
    I now have a NEW laptop ... Windows 8 (64-bit). I re-downloaded my Photoshop Elements 12+Premiere Elements 12 onto my new one. Options to download the Premiere Elements showed I should use the "bottom" option to download for Win-8/64-bit - did that w/no problem. There were NO OPTIONS showing that the Photoshop Elements 12 had to ALSO be using a specific way to be downloaded? Consequently, I think (?), the problem that I'm having in using the mouse's wheel-scrolling feature may have been affected by using the "normal" format to download???
    So here's my question:  Because I bought this combined deal, should I have ALSO used the bottom option showing installation for 64-bit Premiere Elements 12??? I WOULD APPRECIATE A TIMELY RESPONSE - NEED HELP ON GETTING MY PHOTOSHOP WORKING PROPERLY, NOW!

    Oops!!!! I accidentally found my answer within my Photoshop Elements 12 "Preferences" folder! Only one part of my question remains --- what about how to download it as a 64-bit option, or does it matter at all?
    Sorry to have panicked about this, but when I started using it, the cursor movements seemed unstable so I thought it was because of downloading for a 32-bit instead of my current OS-64bit!

    My mistake, it was nothing to do with format.  It woldn't sync because my movies were HD.  HD movies won't sync to an iopd classic 160 GB but when you purchase a HD movie, itunes gives you a SD vervsion of the movie which is compatible with the ipod.  Just needed to go to store, click movies, click purchased and untick the HD box and there you have the SD versions.  Download the SD versions and then sync your ipod and bobs you uncle, movies are on the ipod

    I have windows 7. When i recently installed windows updates I began having script errors for firefox and my weatherchannel programs. I went to control panel, programs and features and tried to delete these 2 programs to install new ones. It seems like the programs didnt compeletly uninstall because they are still listed in my programs but have no file size. I downloaded latest version of firefox but it wont install. It tells me i need to restart computer to install a previous upgrade. I do that and nothing happens. I keep going around in circles.

    If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
    Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded
    Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

    If you still have the old computer, you should be able to connect the iPad, run iTunes and restore from a backup from a previous sync.  Now that you have it updated, you will not need to do that again.
