Do I need to use an app killer on my new iPhone4s?

I have just moved f rom an android phone where you had to use an app killer to stop apps constantly running and draining your battery and your web usage, do I need it on the iPhone?

That's not correct. Unless the app is specifically designed to run in the background(very few are), NONE of the apps shown there are actually running.

I do NOT like using my credit card if I don't have to, and I went out of my way to go buy an Apple gift card, which I successfully redeemed into my Apple account. However, when I use the Apple "Cards" app, it will not let me use anything other than my credit card. I tried purchasing a card, hopefulling it would come out of my Apple store balance, but no such luck -- it came out of my credit card.
Apple is becoming more like Microsoft every day.

FaceTime:
Check Settings>FaceTime>ON and check Settings>General>Restrictions>FaceTime>ON. There is no icon, on the 4 & 4S FaceTime is accessed through contacts. Go into your Contacts, access the contact you want to FaceTime with and you will see a tab at the bottom of their contact card. You can also access FaceTime by going into your Phone app, select dialling keypad, dial number, press call and an option for FaceTime on the keypad will appear. It should be noted that FaceTime has been removed from iPhones sold in some Middle Eastern countries at the express wish of the respective Governments.

Yes you can (unless they are apps that require the iPhone's full phone capability - I have some apps on my iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch
If they are designed just for the iPhone/iPod Touch then they will just take up that sized portion of the screen. There will be a '2x' button on the screen, but that effectively just doubles the size of each pixel in both directions, so it may then appear pixelated.

An update for an app is not loading, but I need to use the app even without the update. How do I cancel the update? Right now is on hold.

Our network administrators are doing a network segmentation / security project and they want to make it so that only authorized users can ping or see my oracle EBS server on the network, but they also want to lock down all ports that users can see, except for port 8000, which is the port we use to serve EBS on apache. I am having an argument with them. Because we use forms in socket mode, I am arguing that we need to keep all ports open because forms uses a port range and creates a socket with the users's PC in addition to holding/maintaining the Apache connection. My network administrator is saying no, it holds the socket connection in the background and they only need "access" to port 8000. I would agree with them if I was using servlet mode, but I don't think they are correct in socket mode. What port range do I need to make sure they allow through in addition to port 8000? BTW we use all the standard ports in EBS (eg 8000 is the out-of-the-box Apache port). Note also we have have single tier 11.5.10.2 installation on a solaris sparc server, so the ports that the 11i apps needs to interact / connect with itself is not relevant to the question. Also, the IT group (me) will still have access to all ports to do telnet, ssh, ping etc, we are only talking about from our end users's PCs. They are telling me to install Wireshark to find out more, and do some testing which I will - but I want to know what to expect.

Ok I have read the above documentation extensively. One thing that is quite clear is that if I switched to servlet mode, then all traffic goes through the Apache port (in my case 8000) and that would be the only port users need access too -- and this would be like setting up a DMZ or firewall inside the intranet. However, given that I am having performance issues, I need to know how to do this using forms in socket mode.
So for example in MOS 414439.1 it lists the entire ports and port pools. So I've taken that list, and separated it into groups One and Two (see below). My question is: To access EBS in the intranet by users, which of the ports in Group One is needed? And are all of the ports in group Two NOT needed? thanks in advance. Marv.

How do you exit without backing all the way out or using an app killer?

There is no "X", there is no "exit" under "menu". I have been using Dolphin which has just about everything you need when you click the menu button.

Like most Android apps (including the built-in Browser, Maps, and GMail apps), Firefox does not have an exit button. Android automatically closes apps in the background when it needs their resources.
If you do need to quit Firefox manually, try the "Quit Fennec" add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/221517/

Email on multiple devices need to use email app?

I've read old posts that suggest there is no solution to the issue of having to manage emails on each device - computer, iPhone, iPad. That is that you have to delete on all individually. This makes email pretty unusable! Is their an email app that can be used to solve this problem. I looked at a few but couldn't work out how to connect Verizon email to them
Any help.suggestions appreciated.

I'm trying to move 2 different iTunes library's (my PC crashed) from an iPod and iPod Touch to my iMac via a 3rd party app. Will I be able to use this app on the 2 new administrator accounts that I will set up?

To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
and select the Library that you moved. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.
Your first option didn't work because you imported one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
Your second option didn't work because you simply referenced her library on the old machine.

App upgrade problems with new iPhone4

I installed my apps from the ones banked in iTunes. I have 8 that need to be updated. I touch "Update All" and I get prompted through 3 screens of confirming my payment information and password and such, then it looks like the update starts, then the loop begins again. The same happens when I try to update them individually. I tried it on wifi and 3g and same result. Tried giving it the old Microsoft reboot and same. Not a crippling problem, but a surprising oversight and very annoying. I also have the antenna problem, in case anyone is tallying still.

Antenna problems are so last week: Buy a case.
I've had one or two apps that would no upgrade that way. Shake your head and move on.

Purchased "Moneypad app" missing in App Store. I've used that app for more than a year and all my financial records are in it. I have the backup but I need the app. How can a purchased app go missing??? Is that even legal??

After updating all the icons where misplaced and there were a lot of bugs in the app. The update said "Restore original app icon". So I decided to delete it and reinstall the app but now i couldn't find the application in the itunes store both through my Macbook air and my iphone 5. What do I do now?? how can a purchased app go missing? Is it even legal to delete apurchased app from the itunes store?? What happened to my money and the worst part is my records cant be used in anyother application but "Moneypad". There were 2 version of the app in the store. One was free and the other One was paid.
