Do I really need the Professional Edition?

Hello everyone!
We would like to publish an App for the store with multiple folios for free.
Right now I am using the Creative Cloud Single Edition which doesn't allow me to publish an app with multiple folios. I've read the discriptions for the different options (Professional/Enterprise) and it says that I have to update to Professional or Enterprise to be able to publish and sell apps in the appstore which include multiple folios. But my point is we don't want to sell the app. We just want create a magazine for free.
So do I really need the Professional version or higher?
Cheers,
Pascal

Hi Patomo,
Creating multi folio apps requires a Pro or Enterprise license. It doesn't matter wheter your content is free or retail. Do keep in mind that creating multi folio apps requires you pay for the hosting fees. So there will be an additional cost based on your downloads. Talk to your DPS reseller for more info on the numbers.
Remember that you can only create one app with the Pro license (updating the app is included too) but the Enterprise level allows you to create as many apps as you like.
Hope that helped.

The camera roll is not part of the sync process at all.
You should be importing these photos to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.  Youc an organize them on your computer and sync the to the iphone if you wish.
The photos sync from the computer to the iphone is one way.
The iphone mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.

  • If we use the $495 DPS service we don't really need the cloud correct?

If we use the $495 DPS service we don't really need the cloud, correct?

The 495 covers a pro account which allows for subscription apps as well as single edition. If all you’re interested in is single edition then Creative Cloud is the way to go.

  • Does the Professional Edition require an Apple Computer to Publish?

Does the Professional Edition require an Apple Computer to Publish like the Single Edition does? Are there other restrictions that I may not be aware of if I go the PC route?
I can' seem to find that information.

OK.... So, do you need to have an app built if you go with the Professional Edition? At first I thought yes, but now I am realizing that with the Professional Edition, don't you get set up in the Newstand Store... which does or does not need an app??? And then what about the Kindle Fire and Android platforms... Do I have to manage all of those relationships myself or is that part of the professional package...
Again... if there is particular literature I need to look at... Please point me there.

    Hold on,
Have you talked to your carrier to confirm the unlock?
What was the procedure you did to unlock the phone?
Standard unlocking procedure once processed by the carrier:
    Backup in iTunes
Erase the phone (ignore restore terminology here)
Plug the phone to the computer and then launch iTunes
    Wait for unlock notification.
    Restore the backup.

  • Do you really need the shoes to make this product work?

I just saw some information on the TV about this. My question; if anyone can help with it, is do you REALLY need the shoes to make this work. I mean all it is is a little disk and a wireless plug-in for the Nano. It would really help me out if someone can tell me.

You do not need the shoes to make it work. Check out this thread for ways people have gotten the sensor to work with non-nike+ shoes: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=559827&tstart=75

  • Do You Really Need The Nike+sport shoes

Do you really need the nike+sport shoes to have the kit work or could you just buy any type of shoe and find a way to make the sensor stick?

i just cut a spot in the insole of my New Balance
high tops. (i walk/run in them because my ankles are

I wonder if the disk being referred to is actually your iPod which is not plugged in. Maybe something has stuck thinking the iPod should be there.
Try completely removing all the iTunes related programs according to this method.

Restart you PC and see if startup improves.
If it doesn't improve you need to consider the possibility that there is something else going on.
If The problem goes away, hopefully a fresh install will be OK.

  • My LR previews data file has just gone over 50GB, how can I shrink it as I really need the space on my laptop?

My LR previews data file has just gone over 50GB, how can I shrink it as I really need the space on my laptop?

Or if you don't want to delete all of it, you can just discard 1:1 previews using Library->Previews menu - that may or may not buy you the space you need.
If you do opt for deleting the whole thing, here is an idea to keep it from going back to 50G: change the size/quality of standard previews and/or the policy for auto-removing 1:1 previews (Lr Preferences -> Catalog Settings -> File Handling).

  • Help! two firewire 400 to one 800. both really need the 400-speed.

I've got the iMac with firewire800 and need to use both my m-audio interface and my liquid mix.
    they are both fw400-devices
the liquid can be connected through the m-audio, but that is not enough for all data. the liquid and the m-audio really needs separate 400-connectors.
will a *good firewire-hub* do the job?
what can I do if not? buy mac pro? (quite expensive)
    iMac 24
    Focusrite Liquid mix
    M-audio Profire 2626

My devices are all just drives. I have not seen any slow down due to using a hub (compared to separate ports), but I have not intentionally set up conditions where I am writing files to more than one drive at the same time either.
If the two devices interact with each other (data goes directly from one drive to the other), then I think the hub would be better because each device is connected equally to the Mac (more like using a Mac with two ports). If only one device is being accessed at any given time, then it probably does not matter too much if they are on the hub or daisy-chained.
In my case, if I was reading data from one drive and writing it to the other drive, I think it would be better to have the two drives connected to the hub (versus one drive being daisy-chained to the other). But if I was reading data from the internal drive and writing it to one (not both) of the external drives, then it would not matter too much how they are connected.
Hopefully, someone else with experience using devices like yours will pop by to provide some info.

  • Do you really need the 4-in-1 drivers

Do you really need to install the 4-in-1 drivers if you are using windows 2000pro? What I notice is that windows 2000 pro install all the drivers but the agp drivers. Ihave the K7T TURBO 2 MOTHERBOARD.

Do you have the abilty to backup or image your OS? If so bench mark your system using Sandra, PCMark and 3DMark, install the latest VIA Hyperion drivers and bench mark again.  I am confident that you will see an improvement.  The VIA drivers are written specifically for the chipset, like using Detonator drivers on NVidia cards.  If not rebuild you image from your back up.

  • Does the professional edition offer sideloading viewers

I am sorry if this topic keeps repeating, I did go through past posts for the answer.
Does the Professional (Monthly/Annual) Edition offer Custom Branded Viewers with sideloading capibilities?
Or is it ONLY available for Enterprise Edition.
Thank you for any direction you can provide.

Both Pro and Enterprise customers can create dev apps with sideloading, but that feature is useful only if you're using the old Content Bundler.

  • Do I really need the box set?

Running Tiger on my Mac. Never upgraded to Leopard. Do I really need to buy the $169 box set to upgrade to Snow Leopard or will the $29 Snow Leopard work. And if I do that will my ILife '08 still work with Snow Leopard?

    Rebecca,
The Apple Store clearly states that the $29 upgrade is for Leopard users only.
    *Mac OS X Snow Leopard*
    *Now available.*
*Upgrade from Leopard for just $29.*
You can't miss the statement in bold above on this page. It states the same thing at least twice.
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/
Legally you can only use the $29 disk for upgrading Leopard.
If you want to upgrade to Snow Leopard from Tiger, then you either need to buy Leopard first and then the Snow Leopard upgrade disk, or buy the Box Set.
Apple also states again in bold on this page that the Snow Leopard $29 upgrade is for Leopard users only.
*Snow Leopard is an upgrade for Leopard users and requires a Mac with an Intel processor.*
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MACOS_XSNGL
Seems clear to me that when Apple says the $29 upgrade to Snow Leopard is for *Leopard users only*, that is what they mean.

  • Does Pick Up at store by friend really need the physical credit card used?

Can I pay with a credit card by phone from Miami for friend in Spokane WA to pick up? Friend has WA State ID. Does friend need my physical credit card for in store pick up?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If the friend is listed under friends and family pickup they will not need the credit card but they will certainly still require an ID.
Yes you can place an order for pickup in another state, I have done it before for other customers just be sure to have your friend listed in the friends and family pick-up

  • Lost the "Edit" option and now cannot paste. My right mouse has a glitch and I can't paste into an email which is a huge detriment. Need the old "Edit" option.

I'm a writer and rely on being able to link to various online publications I have. I used to be able to highlight the link and go to the top of Firefox, into the "Edit" section, hit "Paste" and it landed where I wanted it. I have a glitch in my ability to right click and paste so relied heavily on having the Firefox option (similar to any Word program). It's now gone and I'm lost. I just responded to an add for a writer, needed to paste in my links, and was horribly frustrated because I couldn't do it without a huge amount of irritation, going back & forth to the site, typing it in manually, etc., etc. Please tell me I can get this back...

    Follow these steps:
#highlight something on a page to copy,
#click Firefox button, click small arrow/triangle to the far right of Edit, the word "Copy" should now be highlighted/darkened
#click to where you want to Paste what you just copied
#click Firefox button, click small arrow/triangle to the far right of Edit, the word "Paste" should now be highlighted/darkened
NOTE: you can always highlight, then use Ctrl+C to Copy, click where you want to paste, use Ctrl+V to paste. Those are standard Windows keyboard shortcuts for Copy and Paste..
