Do I still have to double-click a clip to see it's date and time?

iMovie 4 and earler, when you clicked on a clip in the timeline, the time and date would show up right there in the grey area. Then in iMovie 5, that is gone. Now I have to double-click every single clip to see the same info. This has made me very angry, as I waste a ton of time double clicking and closing windows. Why on earth is that gone? Anyway, I decided to save the $80 on version 6...unless they brought back this feature. Can anyone let me know if it's back?

I, too. think this embedded timecode info should be shown in the main window like in iMovie 4 so that the user can easily see the date of each clip.
Notice that the displayed time is the value of the very first frame of the underlying media clip. I.e. if you split the clip at the playhead, all the splitted clips still point to the same time.
iMovie 2.1.2 did this right by always showing the correct time even with splitted media clips.

Double-clicking what? The Mail application icon or the icon in the dock?
Perhaps you haven't actually quit Mail. A common problem with new users is just closing the window instead of quitting the application. If you do that, the application is still running. You may have to double-click to get the application to re-activate and open a new window.

Help w/ fixing my broken ipod touch. I have to double click on an app in order to open it, can't leave the home screen, apps don't work!

I'm not sure what happened, but I can't leave my home screen unless I press n hold an app and move it to another page, then when i press the home button so the apps stop shaking I can stay on another page. Other than doing it that way I can't scroll from one page to another. When I click on an app a thin box appears around it, not only with apps but when I click on the time or battery or ANYTHING! In order for me to open any of the apps I have to double click on it and then when it opens I can't do anything in the app. Even when I went to settings to see if there was something in there to fix this problem I can't go anywhere or do anything. Im having this same problem an my phone is about 3 weeks old. I am not sure about the voice over part though...I have not yet figured out how to work the voice recognition part of the phone...I am such a newbie with this phone. I did the power off/on suggestion, several times. I tried leaving it off for 10 minutes. Tried to reset with the power on/off and home button pressed at the same time. Charged battery. Still makes no difference. You cannot scroll any direction. Have to double click to open apps. Have to double click letters when texting or emailing in order to get the letter in the text box. Can scroll through app choices, have to click on the line with the dots in it and move from page to page. Can't access the settings - > general - > accessibility - because it won't allow me to scroll down to "general".

If you've turned VoiceOver on then see if triple-clicking the home button turns it off, and then change what Settings > General > Accessibility > Triple-Click Home is set to.
Otherwise, via 'the touch to select double-tap to activate' process you need to go into Settings > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver and turn it off

So select Configure Universal Access at the bottom of the Summary tab and set Seeing to Neither

With Voice Over, you highlight whatever you are trying to select and then double tap anywhere on the screen to select.
So for your password of 1234 you have to
"Highlight 1, then double tap the screen, Highlight 2, the double tap the screen,... etc."
In order to remove you have 2 options:
Option# 1 – Turn off Voice Over
Go to setting by, highlight "SETTING
Double tap screen to go into settings
Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and highlight "GENERAL"
Double tap screen to go into general
Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and then highlight “ACCESSIBILITY”
Double tap screen to go into accessibility
Once you are in make sure that EVERYTHING in that section are shown as “OFF”
Option #2 - Reset your Phone
Go to setting by, highlight "SETTING
Double tap screen to go into settings
Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and highlight "GENERAL"
Double tap screen to go into general
Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and then highlight “RESET”
Double tap screen to go into reset
Select “Reset all setting” and continue to follow the instruction
(When you reset, all of your data and music WILL NOT erase. So don’t worry about that)

How do I embed a pdf document into an existing pdf so that the user double clicks on the pdf object within the pdf and it opens? i've looked everywhere on various forums and tried attachments - but still not working. Thanks

I've tried various methods but to no avail. I have a pdf document and within the pdf I'd like to embed a couple pdf documents so that all the user has to do is double click on the pdf object inside the pdf and it opens in a new window. I've tried using attachments to do it and linking it...but to no avail. Anyone know how to do? I'm using Acrobat Pro Version 11. Thanks

The "embed" feature common to MS Office applications is not applicable to PDF (for the why and wherefore of PDF get comfortable and read the ISO Standard for PDF - ISO 32000-1:2008).
You can insert other PDF files' pages into any given PDF.
You can attach files of supported formats to a PDF (of course a PDF is supported).
You cannot "embed". So, nothing is broken.

Try this ... reboot your Mac and see if double clicking works again.
Also, you can just select the Application you like to open and hold down the Command+O to open.
Also, did you check your setting for the mouse in system preferences.

Can't Drag Clips From Browser! Have To Double-Click To Load Into Viewer.

For some reason my DV PAL clips in the Browser can't be dragged.
I have to double-click them to load them into the Viewer from where I can drag them anywhere.

Hopefully this helps. And hopefully I haven't misunderstood your question. For the issue of the location of the various headings (From, Subject, Date, etc...) you can simply grab the particular title bar and move them to the location of your choosing.
