Do I update Acrobat X Pro 10.1.9 with 11 or do I stay at 10?
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, and want to know if proper "updating" means I download the "11" series and updates or do I stay with "10" and keep it up to date? Maybe they are two different platforms and I'm currently up to date with 10.1.9 and leave it at that. Help.

If you have purchased Acrobat version 10 then the latest patch is 10.1.9
If you have purchased Acrobat 11 then the latest patch is 11.0.6
You cannot install version 11 patch onto version 10 software.

Maverick and Your System message
I've updated my Macbook Pro and my iMac with Maverick, updating the various apps (Pages, Aperture, iPhoto, Numbers & iMovie, too) in the process.
On my Macbook, everything functions perfectly. On my iMac, I get the Your System has Run out of Application Memory message. But it's not Calendar, it's Mail that not only won't open, but when it does now, it takes the entire system out with it.
I open Safari, and it works. I open Firefox, and it works and Safari still works. I open Calendar and it works, Safari and Firefox continue to work. I open Reminders, and everything still works.
I open Aperture, and it opens Finder instead, showing the 3.5 update that was installed two days ago (and Aperture has functioned), but doesn't seem to update the app; after about 20 seconds the update disappears and I can now open Aperture and it shows I'm now opening the updated Aperture, which it didn't show before.
I click on Mail, and the cursor spins for ten minutes. The mail window finally opens, but the cursor spins and does not connect to upload new mail, and I finally Force Quit Mail. Since the Maverick update, even though Mail was not updated (and maybe because Mail was not updated), I have been able to receive emails twice, and then the program crashed.
Besides the Aperture app, Pages didn't fully update on the iMac, and I had to remove the old Pages icon from the dock after the new program loaded up from Applications.

Hi All, anyone with this problem with Acrobat Pro XI, IM USING MAC, also Yosemite if that helps.
Also Adobe CC, BASICALLY IT just quit and i had to uninstall, re install, and I get this
ERROR: DW006: Apple Package failed to install successfully.
ERROR: Third party payload installer Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Installer.pkg failed with exit code: 1
Anyone with same issues...Same problem. Creative Cloud subscriber running Mac 10.10.2 on iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014). All apps work fine EXCEPT for Adobe Acrobat XI. I have tried 100 times and 100 solutions. NOTHING works.

"Update server not responding" when trying to update Acrobat 9 Pro
I just installed Acrobat 9 Pro on my desktop computer and on my laptop. I was able to download and install the latest updates to the copy on my desktop computer (so that it is now version 9.3.0), using Help>Check for Updates.
When I try the same command on my laptop, I get and error message that states "The update server is not responding, which means it may be offline at the moment, or the Internet or firlewall settings may be incorrect. Please try again later." I tried several times yesterday and today with the same error. The message pops up immediatley; it doesn't even seem to actually try to connect.
I disabled my firewall and antivirus software and still get the same result. I uninstalled then reinstalled Acrobat and still get the same result.
I looked online at Adobe.com to see about downloading and installing the updates manually, but it's difficult for me to tell which updates I need. Some are for other languages and some are for 64-bit but I have Windows 7 32-bit.
A call to tech support was no help. The agent seemed to think because I installed verison 9.0 that I only needed the one English update listed on the download page under 9.0, and not any of the later updates. . . And he said that Adobe recommends manually installing updates from Adobe.com rather than using the Check for Updates command (?!).
Anyway, does anyone know what might be causing this problem with the adobe updater? Maybe I need to reinstall the updater (where do I find it?).
OR
Can someone tell me which of the updates listed on the Acrobat dowload page I should manually install to bring my product up to date?

(Launch Acrobat and Go to Acrobat->About Adobe Acrobat menu item and check the version )
Also, can you ping following urls ?

ardownload.adobe.com
Are these urls reachable ?
Also, you can check the contents of host file /etc/defaults/host to see that none of the ips are redirected.
One more thing that you could try:
If you have firewall on, could you please disable the firewall and then try the update. Does it works now ? -
I have two issues. 1) unable to update Acrobat XI Pro and 2) unable to register product
First issue: I have for the second time installed Acrobat xi pro and then click on "check for updates" from the help menu. And it shows that an update is available. But when I update it I am given the following error message:
Error 1328. Error applying patch to file C:\Config.Msi\PT669B.tmp. It has probably been updated by other means, and can no longer be modified by this patch. For more information contact your patch vendor."
When I click on "details" I am sent to adobe's "update error" page. Which states the following for error 1328: Error applying patch to [filename]. It's likely that something else updated the file, and the patch can't modify it. For more information, contact your patch vendor.
I have tried uninstalling program and re-installing program but still get same error message from my attempt at updating. So I am not sure if program is update or not. And I do not know who my "patch vendor" is.
Second issue: Unable to register product with Adobe. Because the option to do so from the "help" menu which lists "product registration" is greyed/dimmed out. Therefore not giving me the ability to register this product. Please let me know what is causing this problem.I am not sure, but will suggest some things to try. On the activate issue, it may be that your system already thinks it is activated and so you might try the deactivate and check. If that works, I would suggest you then uninstall, run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, remove anything left of the Acrobat folder, reboot, and reinstall. Hopefully you can open Acrobat and activate. Then do the updates from the Help menu.

Error 1310 when trying to update Acrobat X Pro?
I keep getting error 1310 when I try to update Acrobat X Error writing to file C:\config.ms.\2c20c8I.rbf. Verify you have access to that file.
Windows Vista computer. I am signed on as an administrator with full access. A while back, I was having the same issue with the Master Suite CC and an Adobe Tech had me try many things with no success. Finally all other updates have installed except this one. The tech worked with me and verified the file was ther and was set up tp be accessable. Still no luck. Any ideas, anyone?Yes, I checked the file location. It is there and I supposedly have access to it. I went thru this all with an Adobe tech in the past when none of the other Cloud apps would update. Now the only update left is Acrobat x Pro which still gives me the same message. Please note again that I have been getting this message in the past and the message is a common one if you google it and look at all the responses. This is not just my problem!

I can't update Acrobat 9 Pro Extended
I recently took over a laptop running Win 7 Pro, and I installed a copy of Acrobat 9 Pro Extended we have never used. The installation went fine, and I have no issues running the program.
However, when I go to Help/Check for Updates, I get a the following message;
I went to the the Adobe website (http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?platform=Windows&product=158) for updates for this programs, I was able to install the 3D update (Ac9Ex3DUpd.msi). But when I attempted to install the next update up fom that one (AcrobatUpd911_all_incr.msp), I get the following message;
I tried the next patch up from that (AcrobatUpd912_all_incr.msp), and got the same message.
How do I update this program either manually through the Adobe website, or through Help/Check for Updates?I doubt it multiple network adapters are enabled on your machine. Kindly try this:
Click on Start and type Network and Sharing Center
Click on Change adapters settings
Now you need to disable the network adapters that are not in use. Make sure you don't disable the one which is connected to internet. Even if it shows 'Unplugged' or 'Not connected', disable it. (Right click -> Disable)
Once this is done, Acrobat will automatically start downloading the updates.
Feel free to post back the results.

Can't update acrobat 9 pro after reinstall on mac
i just reinstalled acrobat 9 pro onto a new macbook air (replacing my previous machine), using the original disc, v.9.0.0, and product key.
previously i'd seen cues to update (to 9.5.2), but now i can't seem to -- there's no update link at all in the help menu, and when i downloaded the update file from the adobe site, it wouldn't let me choose my app to update. what do i do please? thanks!OK - this is now solved, as far as i can tell (not having actually worked in the program yet).
i realized that part of the problem was that i'm now working on mtn lion, v 10.8.2, and the adobe fixes are not stated to go up that far. however, other posts said that up to 9.5.2 does work on mtn lion, so ...
i was able to do the updates by doing them one at a time, starting with 9.1.
it took over an hour of tedious stages, but it seems to have accepted them all.

Can't Install Updates Acrobat X Pro
Hello. I am trying to install updates to Acrobat X Pro. Every time I try to install from the Help - Check for Updates menu, I get the error:
Error 1321. Installer has insufficient privilages to modify the C:Program Files..... with some folder and file listed.
I am using Windows 7 and have changed the permissions to the Adobe folder and sub folders so that I am the owner.
If I try to start to run the Adobe Application Manager, I get an error that the Application Mangager failed to install.
Can you help me with this problem.

"Error 1310. Error writing to file C:\Program Files (X86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\adistres.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory."
Then it had a button for retry and when I hit it, it finished installing without any more errors. My UAC always asks me to allow programs to make changes to the computer and when I allow, it's always fine. I actually like this for added security. I've never had an issue with any other program. -

How can I update Acrobat X Pro when uninstaller file is missing?
I have Adobe Acrobat X Pro installed on my Mac OSX and I keep getting messages that I should update it. Then an error message comes up saying I need to uninstall Acrobat X Pro first because the file was modified since installation. I have no idea why the file should have been modified. I cannot uninstall Acrobat X Pro, because the Acrobat X Uninstall file is greyed out and it has a little arrow on the lower left corner indicating that the original file may be stored somewhere else, but I can't find it anywhere. I have tried to download the uninstall the file from the Adobe website but can't find it - only cleanup files for Adobe on Windows and for Adobe CC programs. Can anyone help me uninstall and re-install Acrobat X Pro (without having to purchase it again)?
Hello again and my apologies for taking so long. My Internet connection was off for a couple of weeks and I had to get a BT engineer to fix it. When I tried to reply from a friend’s house my email was returned to me as undeliverable. So, this is my next attempt. I found the Adobe Updater log in Console Utility and I have pasted it below. None of the downloads I have tried so far have worked.
