I am talking about so-called third party cases like from Zenus, not on apple smart covers. If they happen to have the wrong polarity, you can just trash them. But maybe apple has a deal with them, so that they can sell yet one more. And i guess then they reverse polarity for the next model... Extremely annoying, and, I repeat myself, extremely customer unfriendly product policy.

  • Nfl mobile not working on the new ipad

could anyone one tell why nfl mobile is not working on the new ipad with vz data plan

Brigrat and Kevbraah, I know you want to enjoy NFL Mobile from your iPads! I checked the description on the NFL Mobile app from the AppStore, and unfortunately the new iPad is not supported at this time. This may be updated in the future, but not at this time. I apologize for any inconvenience. Here is the link to the description. http://bit.ly/Po3mah

  • My smart cover is not working with the new iPad

The smart cover for my iPad 2 won't work with the new iPad.  I have verified the toggle is enabled in settings.  Does anyone have a solution or is experiencing the same issue?  Thanks :)

It's the polarity of the magnet in the older Apple Smart Covers (and many third-party cases and covers) that is causing the problem.  All you need to know about this situation is detailed at my blog post:

    Thanks for the help.

If it's made of rigid material (which I think is the case), then, most probably it won't. I certainly wouldn't pay 30 pounds for it just to find out it doesn't work.
As sagarpachorkar has stated, iPad 2 cases made of non-rigid materials, generally, have a much better chance of fitting the iPad 3 too.

  • Does anyone know if a lightning 30-pin apdater works with the new iPad?

I have a Philips Fidelio DS9000 and the new iPad doesn't fit! Apparently a 30-pin adapter will work (according to Philips), but on the Apple site it doesn't say if this pin is compatible with a new iPad. Please help! Thanks.

    If you mean this one:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter
Then yes, its designed for the new iPad, iPad mini and iPhone 5 as specified in its compatibility chart in that same page.

  • Google Street View not working on the new iPad (3rd generation iPad)

Trying to use Google Street View in Safari is crashing in the new iPad. Here's a link for reference: http://maps.google.com/help/maps/streetview/mobile/gallery.html#!/id=258
The same thing works fine in iPad 2. Has anyone faced similar problems? Is there something I can do to fix this issue?

That link works for mee on my new iPad.
Try using Settings -> Safari -> Clear Cookis and Dara

  • IMessage not working on the new iPad

Try to send iMessage to same person. iMessage works on my iPhone 3GS but not the new iPad. Any ideas ?

Does the person you are sending a message to, own an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad running iOS 5 or higher?  iMessage only communicates with other iOS devices.  And as a follow on question, if you are trying to text to a cell number from your iPad, it won't work.  That would require SMS, which is not part of iPad.  You can MMS, which means text to an email address, but again, only to other iOS devices with iOS 5 or higher.

  • Siri is not working on the "New iPad" (iPad 3)

    Why is that happens?
I updated my iPad 3 (The new ipad) software to iOS 6, and now when I'm trying to hold the home button, nothing happens..
Any idea what causes the issue?

I just went to my Settings menu, there is an option inside the General called Siri, and I turned it on.
Than I could just launch the Siri by holding down the Home Button until its shown up.
    Thanks for IIIaass.

  • Is there a Bluetooth printer that works with the new Ipad?

Does anyone know yet if there are any portable Bluetooth printers that will work with the Ipad?
I found this one. But I'm not sure if it's going to work. becuase it only has setup disks for PC and BB phone.

deggie is correct; BT only works with some headphones and keyboards. You'd have to invest in one of the 3rd party apps in the App Store to get your printing done.

  • I bought a magic mouse today, they told it would work with the new iPad, I can't get it to work for me, does anyone know how or if it works?

I bought a magic mouse, was told it works with the iPad, how can I get it too?

A mouse, which is a pointing device, will not work with an iPad...there is no cursor for the mouse to move around.  You must use the touch screen.

  • Will the Magic Mouse Work with the new iPad?

I know it can work with the wireless keyboard.... but will it work with the mighty mouse?

You could argue that the iPad doesn't have a use for an external keyboard either. Yet it supports one. And truth be told this is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, reasons having optional mouse support would be nice.
You see when typing on an external keyboard you have to reach up and over to tap the iPad. This gets tiring rather quickly. Ironically this is the very reason Steve Jobs argued that touchscreens don't work for notebook computers. A mouse would be more ergonomically sound in this situation. Also the method for selecting text with your finger kind of slow.
As for the lack of a mouse cursor.... as unsanctioned software tweaks have proven, one could easily be added while the mouse is connected.
