Do iCloud backups back up the passcode

When you iCloud backup, does it back the passcode???

First, transfer your photos from the old iPhone to your computer, for safe-keeping:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
Then use iTunes to sync the photos back to your new iPhone.
However, if you've done a full iCloud backup of the old iPhone, then restore the new iPhone from the old iPhone backup while you are in the Setup Assistant. The Camera Roll should transfer over. But be sure to do a manaul import first, as described above.

settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings, once complete the set up assistant will ask if you have an iCloud back up, follow on screen instruction to restore from it.

Welcome to the Apple community.
You can only restore them from a Computer backup. This has occurred because you are sharing an iCloud account. ideally you should each have your own iCloud account, that way you can each manage your own mail, contacts, calendars, documents etc and avoid unintentional deletions and unwanted editing. If there is information you wish to share between you, this can be done with a secondary account.
Having separate iCloud accounts, doesn't mean you have to have separate iTunes accounts, so whilst you keep your personal data separate, you can continue to share music, apps, books, TV shows, movies etc.

In other words, I emptied out a folder on my main MAC to make space and the next subsequent backup backed up the EMPTY FOLDER and then deleted the "old backup" that actually contained the contents of the very important folder.
Now only the emptied folder exists on my MAC and in the two backups on my Time machine backup drive.
This was clearly a big mistake on my part not realizing that the "old backup" being deleted by Time Machine would include backed up files that I had no intention of getting rid of....
What can I do now?
Is DATA RETREIVAL even an option?
I am sure that the Folder of files that I need are on the most recently deleted "OLD BACKUP" but how do I get to this, if even possible?????

It may be possible to recover some of the data, if it hasn't been overwritten, but it won't be cheap or easy.
You've posted in the Time Capsule forum, but you mention a "backup drive." If your backups are on a Time Capsule's internal HD, instead of an external HD, it's even worse.

I have an iPod touch 2G and I can't set up a passcode lock. I hit "Turn Passcode on" and then enter the passcode I want. Then it brings me back to the Passcode Lock Screen, NOT turning on my passcode.

By default, iPod touch doesn’t require you to enter a passcode to unlock it.
Set a passcode: Choose General > Passcode Lock and enter a 4-digit passcode, then enter the passcode again to verify it. iPod touch then requires you to enter the passcode to unlock it or to display the passcode lock settings.
Turn passcode lock off: Choose General > Passcode Lock, enter your passcode, and tap Turn Passcode Off, then enter your passcode again.

My iPad shows a text box on my start up screen iCloud backup stating that the iPad has not been backed up in 2 weeks etc and i press "ok" to acknowledge but it will not erase and I cannot turn the pad off by the main on off switch - cannot use pad!!

I have backed up my ipad to my laptop prior to updating to the latest IOS and now I want to restore the backup back onto the ipad but it says there is not enough space? I have tried unticking all apps i no longer need, music etc but this still doesnt work

I have updated up my ipad2 which had the original version on it (4.??) to the latest version of IOS. Before I did this I backed up the ipad to my laptop so I wouldnt lose precious pics and videos of my baby boy. Now that the latest version is on the ipad it is now asking me if I want to start as a new ipad or restore my backup from itunes. So i select restore my backup from itunes and connect to itunes but it now says there is not enough space to do so. I have a feeling it is because there are alot of pics on our ipad which i presume are all in this backup, many of which we do not need on the ipad anymore but I have no idea on how I go about deleting these pics?? And how do I find where on my laptop this backup is and most importantly the video and pics of my baby boy.

Restoring an iPad from an iTunes-generated backup should not require an Apple ID password.
Did you encrypt the iPad backup? If so, then trying to restore will require entering the encryption password.

How can I restore a document/file to my iPad from the iCloud backup without restoring the whole device from the iCloud backup?

My iPad has a number of documents, including pdf, xls, doc, ppt files. Some are associated with Documents to Go - Premium, which froze on the device attempting to download an update and had to be deleted (which also deleted the files that only were on the iPad and associated witht the app). 18. Message: Purchased apps and media will now be automatically downloaded
19. You'll see a pageful of apps with Waiting/Loading/Installing
20. Message: Some apps cannot be downloaded, please sync with computer

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings (or for network connection issues 'reset network settings').
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).

Apps are not included in the backup. Apps are in iTunes, so you do not need to back them up, just restore them via iTunes.

You're welcome. You can import your camera roll photos (and videos) to your computer using your USB cable, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. If you need to save photo stream photos too, save them to the camera roll so they can also be imported. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos you want to save, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.
The backup you make to your computer using iTunes will also include your camera roll photos and videos.

When trying to restore an iCloud backup, I receive the error message "Appe-ID cannot be created. invalid device while updating mme delegate account".

After a complete crash of my iPad 3 (WIFI only) because of updating to iOS 7.03, I try to restore my config from iCloud.
I managed to get into the settings assistant and enter my Apple-ID (which is valid as checked via iTunes).
But then I see the error message "Apple ID cannot be created - invalid device while upgrading mme delegate account".
I have no clue what the mme delegate account is but need my data back.
Any suggestions?

All you need to do is restore the iphone in itunes as new
and then set up as new
after this is done
then you can restore from itunes back up with out any error!!

I was just wondering if there was a way for me to restore from iCloud backup without restoring the device itself again.

I had restored my iPod touch 4th generation this morning and accidently hit set up as new device. Is there a way where I can take everything from iCloud and put it back on my device without restoring again? Thanks.

Back ups can only be used to restore the phone as a whole, you cannot selectively restore from a back up.
