Do iphone size apps submitted as universal/ ipad apps automatically scale to ipad size?

We have an iphone size application developed in flash builder, we'd like to submit as universal for ipad. Its built mainly in vectors and scales fine to higher resolutions. If we submit the iphone size application as an ipad or universal application:
a) Will apple accept it as universal?
b) Will it automatically scale to full screen to fit the ipad even though the .ipa is iphone size?

I was really annoying, i have already sorted my apps (3-4 pages) according to categories, i.e. games, business..etc.
but for unknown reasons, my apps suddenly were arranged to alphabetical order without me doing anything. this happened almost 3x already and I cannot find any information in the web or here. Anyone has this problem?

Why was Sync Applications deselected under the Applications tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes? This should and must remain selected with iTunes on the computer you sync iTunes content with - namely for 3rd party apps. If I deselect Sync Applications under the Applications tab for my iPhone sync preferences, I get a warning message that all apps currently installed on my iPhone will be erased from my iPhone when syncing, which is normal. The same applies if you deselect Sync Music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences after transferring music to your iPhone via the sync process.
After downloading/installing an app with your iPhone, the app should be transferred to your iTunes library on your computer the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so but if you deselect Sync Applications under the Applications tab for your iPhone sync preferences, all apps will be deleted from your iPhone when syncing. Leaving Sync Applications selected also allows for deleting a select application or applications from your iPhone only without deleting all by deselecting the app or apps you want deleted from your iPhone followed by a sync. To re-install an app later, reselect the app under the Applications tab followed by a sync.
If all apps on your iPhone are not available in your iTunes library on your computer, without syncing at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone. This should transfer all paid and free apps downloaded/installed with your iPhone to your iTunes library on your computer. Follow this be reselecting Sync Applications followed by selecting the apps in the window below that you want on your iPhone. This may not prevent all apps from being removed from your iPhone first followed by being re-installed.

IPhone apps used to appear in iPhone size on iPad. Since updating to iOS7.0, these apps are HUGE and unreadable. How can I display actual size in iOS 7.0?

I realize this is a Mac forum, but I am sure there are iOS users here as well. My problem is that apps made specifically for iPhone used to display in regular iPhone size on the iPad which was fine --- it was workable. Since upgrading to iOS 7.0, these apps are HUGE, filling the entire iPad screen. How does one revert to the non-magnified appearance?

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WORKED !!! I still cannot backup because iTunes cannot start a session.
My devices are completely vulnerable to loss.
I have spent hours searching the Internet trying to find a solution.
I have concluded that the iTunes software or its driver are at fault.

I don't want the keyboard to become bigger. Wish there was a way to always have the iPhone sized keypad available for use with any app. When typing with fingers or stylus, the distance between keystrokes is SO much shorter and efficent on the iPhone keypad vs the "full size" iPad keyboard.
I've heard that there will be some keyboard options when the new IOS comes out...wish this was one of them.
Haven't looked yet, but is there a place you can recommend things such as this to Apple?

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between an iPad (2) game app and iPhone game app?
Can't I download for one and use for both?

There are three types of app :
iPad apps (games or otherwise) can only be used on the iPad, they will not work on the iPhone or iPod Touch - they tend to be designed for the larger iPad screen.
iPhone/iPod Touch apps will work on the iPad, but they will only use an iPhone portion of the screen, though there will be a '2x' button on the screen which will effectively double the size of each pixel in both directions (so may appear pixelated)
'universal' apps which are indicated by a '+' symbol in the store. They have processing in them to detect which device they are on and should therefore take advantage of the iPad's larger screen.
They can all be installed on multiple devices.
If an app/game has different iPad and iPhone versions then quite often the iPad version has HD after its name.
If you buy the iPhone version, and then decide that you want the (HD) iPad version (assuming that there is one) then you will need to pay for the iPad version - you won't get it for free.

Theoretically they should be (although there may be some issues with 3G apps not working on a non-3G device)
However you do stand to deal with iPhone only apps being tinier on the screen...as in taking up the middle of your iPad screen. You can tap a 2X button to make them fill the screen, some just look better than others because they were optimized for a lower resolution.
What you want to look for are apps with a + on their download button. THat signifies universal devices that scale up or down dependant upon the device.

Yes, under the Settings for the store, you can turn off the auto download for purchases, that way if you purchase an app on another device it will not automatically download on that device. You would need to do this on both your iPad and iPhone.

You can't drag video into the filesharing pane of iTunes, you can only transfer projects.
Videos need to come in via the photos tab of iTunes.
The easiest way to get videos from the iPhone to the iPad is via the project export import.
Projects can be exported from the iPhone, then imported to the iPad like this:

If the marquee screen isn’t showing, tap the My Projects button .
Scroll to center the project or trailer you want to share.
Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen, and then tap iTunes; tap OK when iMovie indicates that export is complete.
Connect your device to your computer, and then open iTunes on your computer.After a moment, your device appears in iTunes, below Devices on the left.
Select the device, and then click Apps at the top of the iTunes window.

Looking for something in the iPad/iPhone Airport App

I have been waiting for the airport utility for iPad/iPhone to come as I frequently travel with just my iPad and Airport Express. However, I have been unable to configure it when away from home.
So, Apple has released a utility but it appears to be the most important feature for being on the road, that is, the ability to switch connection sharing (so you can hook up to a hotel system).
Is it that I can't find it or it doesn't allow you to do it. In the iPad app, I am looking for the ability to switch between bridge mode and the other two.

The AirPort Utility App that is available with iOS 5 does pretty much everything that the Mac or PC versions do including controlling both the NAT & DHCP services to allow you reconfigure an AirPort as a bridge.

I've tried all sorts of weather apps--and generally find that using a Safari bookmark to the Weather Underground site is far better than any of the weather apps out there. But, even so, it's that simple lising of the current temperature and upcoming next six days of the iPhone Weather app that is most useful--and most appealing-- to me.
I know how to use Disk Aid and rummage my way around the iPhone files, but I don't find the Weather app!

All of your apps should be on your computer. Just sync them to the ipad.

Some can, some cannot. Most iPhone apps can be used on an iPad (though not all), but the reverse is true less often. Check the specifications and system requirements for the app you're interested in. You can easily add the app, presuming it's compatible, of course, to any new iPhone without additional charge either by synching it from iTunes or by downloading the app again from the iTunes Store.
