Do IPod apps work on IPad?

Do IPod apps work on IPad?
thanks

Yes - as long as they are compatible with the iOS on the iPad. If the app needs 5.1 on the iPod - you have to be running 5.1 on the iPad as well.
The iPod specific apps will appear in half size on the iPad screen, but can be enlarged by tapping a 2X button that will appear in the corner of the screen. However, the screen image will be pixelated and the resoultion will not be all that great as a result.

  • IPad iPod App working horribly after update

After the update, my ipod app on my ipad 2 has been working horribly. When I click on a song, a different song will play, and when i try to go back a song, it skips and repeats. There is just so many problems. When im listening, a song will come on and then it wont play, even if i press 'pause' then 'play'. Also, all the lyrics that I imputed into iTunes is not showing up on the iPad. My lyrics are there, just not on the ipad and there isnt an option for lyrics selection.
Overall, this update was fine, just many problems with the iPod App.

Yeah, I'm stuck in the same place. Last week the Ipod app crashed on open. I ran the video app and it worked when I played a podcast. After that, the Ipod app then worked. All was well for a while but now NEITHER the iPod app or the Video app will launch successfully. Note sure really what to do this time.
The last time, before I figured out that video fix, a complete restore did not work. Granted, I restored from backup for I don't want to restore as NEW since I have hours invested in inputting data in financial apps that I really don't want to lose by really starting as if it was a new ipad. Sadly, they don't yet have good backup restore options in some of the apps.

  • Please help if you can: I accidentally deleted the IPOD app for my IPAD 3. I need it to enable HOME SHARING. How can I restore or reinstall it? It is not an app I bought, it came on the IPAD from Apple.

  • Why won't my nike and iPod app work anymore

Why won't my Nike+iPod app work on my iPod touch anymore? I just get a red screen then it closes. Anyone have an idea why this happens. It work fine not to long ago but I went to use it today and it's not working.

    - Try a reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next try restoring from backup
    - Last, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • How do I sync my iPad with my iTunes without it trying to put my iPod apps on the iPad?  I don't want to make separate accounts because then the apps that I want on both would have to be paid for twice.

No, they won't. Just create a second profile in iTunes for the iPad. You can then select only what you want synced to it completely separate from your iPod.

  • Will iphone apps work on ipad

will iphone apps work on ipad

Apart from a few that require, for example, full phone capability yes (and as long as you have the appropriate iOS version installed on your iPad).
If the apps are universal apps (indicated by a '+' symbol against them in the App Store) then there is one version of the app which has processing within it which recognises the device that it is on and will configure the display accordingly - so they should make full use of the iPad's larger screen.
If the app is only designed for the iPhone/iPod Touch then it will still work on the iPad but it will just take up an iPhone sized portion of the screen, unless you press the '2x' button which will appear on the screen which will effectively double the size of each pixel in both directions (so therefore may appear pixelated).

  • I created Playlists on iPod App for my iPad 2. After a recent sync my Playlists I created and saved were gone! Why? What do I need to do to Save those Playlist so theynare not lost nduring sync. THANK YOU

I created Playlist on my iPad (iPod App).....but they disappeared after sync process with my laptop. Why?
What should I have done so they don' t go way?
Doesn't make sense to redo them every time.

Is there a "New" button at the top right of the Playlists section of Music?
There is no Edit button to delete music, swipe sideways on the song to reveal the delete button. Tap and hold on the artwork in Artists and albums to reveal the (X) button to delete. Or connect the iPad back up to iTunes on the computer and check your sync settings for music to ensure you are syncing the right content.

  • Will new iPhoto-Phone App work with iPad?

If I buy the new Iphoto app with my Iphone 4s, will I be able to sync it to a new Ipad later or will I have to buy a different version for the Ipad?  I just can't remember how those ILife Apps work as far as if you buy them on one device if they are good on all devices.
    Thanks for the clarification.
    Ehren

iPhoto for iOS will work on both iPhones and iPad. You'll need an iPhone 4 or later and and iPad 2 or later.

  • Making My iphone Ipod app work.

I have recently acquired an iphone 3gs. However when I sync with itunes the ipod app declares there is no music content. All tyhe contacts and calendar info. syncs. ok.  Any ideas how i can nrectify this problem?

    Try restarting the iPod:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
That may do the trick. If not, try resetting it (instructions in the same article). Neither function should cause any loss of content or data from your iPod.

  • Ipod not working on Ipad?

I have done a shut down, done a restore, but still all I get is a itunes logo and nothing else. I can't take the app off and reinstall it like you can for other apps? The ipad is just a 64g wi-fi model. Don't know what else to do?
    Thanks, Rick

Plug your iPad into your computer and click on it in the device section. Then click on the music tab at the top of the iPad summary screen. Make sure your iPad is set to sync music from you computer, and if so, that the music you have purchased/ripped is chosen for syncing.
It sounds like your iPhone is set to sync music, but your ipad is not.

  • IPod apps transferable to iPad?

I've seen a couple of questions similar to this, but I want to be more precise about what I want to know.
I bought an app for iPod Touch, and eventually I buy an iPad 2. I was told at the Apple store that I won't have to pay for the app again in order for me to install it on the iPad. Which is true, since I already tried it.
Now, here's my question, if I download the same app via the App Store in the iPad, with the same user ID, but instead of downloading the iPhone/iPod Touch version, I download the iPad version (again, I'm referring to the same app), do I have to pay for it?
The reason I ask is because I was charged for two apps I had bought for iPod Touch previously, and I'm guessing I was charged again because these were iPad version. Is this correct or an error from the system?
Thank you in advance for your answers!

If it is a different app i.e. there are different iPod and iPad versions of the app (they should have different names) then they are separate purchases and you will be charged for both. Only if it is the same app will you not be charged for downloading it again.
There are basically three types of app : iPad only; universal; iPhone/iPod Touch.
If there is a separate iPad version of the app (which quite often have HD in their name) then if you want them you will need to purchase them - there is no free download of them, and no trade-up option in the store.
If the apps are universal apps (indicated by a '+' symbol against them in the App Store) then there is one version of the app which has processing within it which recognises the device that it is on and will configure the display accordingly - there is no need to re-download them from the store unless you no longer have them on your computer.
If the app is only designed for the iPhone/iPod Touch then it will still work on the iPad but it will just take up an iPhone sized portion of the screen, unless you press the '2x' button which will appear on the screen which will effectively double the size of each pixel in both directions (so therefore may appear pixelated).

  • How to turn off autoplay in iPod app on an iPad

    Hi Everyone,
I want to use my new iPad as a backing track player for my duo cover band. We've been doing this for months with my MBP and you can just uncheck each song in a playlist to keep iTunes from automatically playing the next song in the playlist. I can't find a way to do this on the iPad. I'd also like to be able to stop the iPad from automatically playing a song by tapping its name in the playlist. That could quite embarrassing if you accidentally stopped playing an existing song in the middle and started up a new one. I found TraxxPad, which is an app for using the iPad for this purpose, but it doesn't have feature that shows the run time and time remaining while a song is playing, which is a really useful feature.
The iPod on the iPad would be fine if there was a way in preferences to turn off these 2 features. Does Apple not think that maybe sometimes you might want to listen to just one song without the next song in the playlist automatically playing?
    Thanks for your help.
