Do movies available on the iTunes store have sub-titles?

I want to know if the movies we can buy/rent on the iTunes store have sub-titles? And if so, how do we know? And if not, is it something envisioned by Apple?
Thanks!

How long does a movie rental remain available in the iTunes store?

On your computer you have 30 days to start viewing it, and once you start watching it you have 24 hours.  It remains in the store as long as Apple and the media owners decide. Years?

    Hi
    I have a Macbook air & iPhone 4.
what do I need to do if I want to buy a book (ebook) or an application that is not available in the iTunes store in my area i.e. Africa (Egypt)?
Do I need to open a different account in the iTunes store in the other area i.e. USA ?
    Please advice
    Thank you

You can only buy content from your own country's store i.e. the Egyptian store if you are in Egypt - you need to be in a country to use its store, so to use the US store you will need to be in the US and have a US billing address on your account. If there is an app or any other item that you would like to be buy that isn't currently available in the Egyptian store then you can try requesting that it be added, but unless the app's developer or rights-holder agrees to it then Apple won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

Delete and redownload them if doing so is free in your country.

  • Is it safe to delete iTunes media that is no longer available in the iTunes Store?

There is a support document that states it is OK to delete content locally so long as the content is available in the cloud depending on your geographic location.  As I'm in the US all media types are available.  From the document:
You can delete items that you bought from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store from your iOS device, Mac, or PC. Because Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation) plays content from the cloud, you don't need to delete items from your Apple TV.
Before you delete an item, make sure you can download it again. If you can't or need to pay to download it again, back up the item before you delete it.
What I am still not clear on is if it is also safe to delete content that is no longer available in the iTunes store?  Will it still be available for previous purchases?
I prefer the quality and off-line availability of iTunes media over Google Play but I've had issues recovering deleted media in iTunes in the past and so have less anxiety about the security of my purchases on Google Play versus iTunes.  Can someone confirm if items no longer available for sale in iTunes are or are not still available via the cloud?

Thanks for the reply although I'm not too happy to hear it.  What's awesome about the cloud is no longer having to keep up with any physical media.  The promise of that is realized with everything else (my work, music, books) besides movies and TV.
I wonder how Google Play will handle movies/tv that becomes unavailable?  Google Play does allow you to download media in some circumstances (on Android and iOS) but is generally intended  for streaming.  Maybe relying on a physical copy as I do with iTunes should make me more comfortable with it and not less.
I will come back to mark your reply as the solution as it becomes clear there is not a contrary position.  Thank you.

  • Movie rentals from the iTunes store

    Hi everyone,
I just downloaded the latest version of iTunes after hearing about movie rentals from the iTunes store. After the install (which installed cleanly), I went to the movie section and do not see an option to rent any movies.
Am I missing something? Is there a different place or section that I need to be in to rent movies?
    Has anyone else noticed this?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks!
    Don

I don't think that movie rentals are available yet on iTunes or Apple TV. Note the "Movie Rentals, Coming Soon" on the blue circle next to the tv at http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?nnmm=br owse&mco=7B723644&node=home/shopipod/family/appletv
and rentals will be available on iTunes, it says it on the new features list

If it's no longer in the store then you won't be able to re-download it - do you have a copy of it on your computer's iTunes (or on a backup) that you could sync back to your phone ?

  • What are the perks to pre-ordering movie rentals in the itunes store?

What are the perks to pre-ordering movie rentals in the itunes store?

You can purchase music using multiple accounts within the same Windows profile & using the same iTunes library. I think when you log into the store it remembers the last account name used, but provided you don't let it remember your password then you have the opportunity to enter the correct details for each purchase.
If you're going to place these purchases on your respective iPod's the following may help.
*How to use multiple iPods with one computer*
The Apple support document How to use multiple iPods with one computer suggests a number of ways. I use method two (Sync with selected playlists) with a slight twist. Rather than regular playlists I set the grouping field to indicate which users should receive which tracks and create smart playlists based on the content of this field.
    e.g.
"Alice's Tracks" is "Grouping contains Alice" + "Kind contains audio"
"Bob's Videos" is "Grouping contains Bob" + "Kind does not contain audio"
Tracks that both Alice & Bob want on their iPods have the grouping set to "Alice/Bob"
    etc.
I currently manage our family's five iPods using this system, each getting a different selection to suit their tastes and the capacity of their iPod. An advantage of using the grouping field is that it is stored in file tags (for non-wav audio files anyway) so that it is relatively easy to recreate the playlists should the iTunes library get trashed. Also useful if you move files about manually as playlist membership is preserved when you delete & re-import the tracks.

  • HT5085 if I want to purchase a matched song shouldn't it be available in the iTunes store??

I'm not fully understanding iTunes match.. I have songs in my library that are matched but some of them I want to purchase from the iTunes store. If they are matched that should mean that they are available in the iTunes store because iTunes is seeing them and re-downloading them to my library. However, when I try to find the song in the store to purchase it's not there...
Wondering if anyone has any insight to this?

Touché.  That is one intense song, but it does not seem to be for sale at any of the major USA online song retailers (iTunes, Amazon MP3, Google Play).
He is touring the USA in December so maybe it will get a proper release.  Good luck.

  • Burning movies bought in the iTunes store?

Is it possible to burn movies bought in the iTunes store onto DVD so i can play them through a normal DVD player? It's kind of difficult for me and my family (four of us) to all gather around my 13.3" screen to watch a movie that i bought. Any help is appreciated.

Officially no, they will allow you to back-up the movie as a "data file" on a DVD (for back-up purposes), but not burn it onto a DVD to watch in a DVD player. You would need to either connect your computer to your TV, or there are accessories available to connect your ipod, for video playback.
There are some hacks/workarounds out there (try googling this topic), but nothing official.

  • Trouble downloading movie trailers through the iTunes store

Anyone else having trouble downloading movie trailers through the iTunes store? When trying to download them I get a "The requested resource was not found error". I'm getting it with the Star Wars 3D and also the Avengers trailer. Seem to be happening more often now and I find if it's happening to others.

I've sent a few emails to the [email protected] address from the Trailer section of the Apple website but still have got no reply back.
It seems to me there maybe a push to just stream the trailers instead of having a physical download in your iTunes library ...maybe? iTunes has been pushing the Avengers as a big event so doesn't make sense to not have the links working properly.

Why is it that it takes ages to watch a movie bought on the Itunes store, compared to Netflix which is instant? I don't understand this? I can watch a two and a half hour movie on netflix and it'll take maybe a minute to buffer but when I want to watch something I bought on itunes it always takes like six hours to watch a movie about an hour and a half?

I am currently having the same problem. Did you ever get this resolved?
    Thanks.

  • Choosing the right language for movies downloadable on the iTunes Store

    Hello,
I just wanted to point out, that last night, I almost bought a movie in the non-original version through my iPhone/iPad and Apple TV, and this would have been a first (mistake). I have now noticed at work on iTunes that it does say what language the movie is in - I've also noticed some are multilingual, and some are just synchronized, and the language of the synopsis is not necessarily in the language of the actual movie, although I couldn't find my example from last night (?).
My suggestion would be to either introduce a preferred language option, or to clearly distinguish the languages in which a movie is available, to make sure appointments are avoided!
    Thank you!

Suggestions to Apple will be best submitted through the iTunes feedback page. Your comments will be most likely to get to the proper people within Apple that way.
BTW, this forum is for questions about iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. Normally you will get the quickest and most applicable responses if you ask your questions in the general iTunes forums.
