'Do not disconnect' - syncs never end with my Nano all of a sudden

My iPod Nano (v1.3.1) syncs happily to my Mac Mini (iTunes v7.1.1) but after the sync completes, the Nano's screen still says "Do not disconnect".
"Enable disk use" is NOT checked, nor is "manually manage music".
This is a pain, since I sync my Nano every morning to get a bunch of latest podcasts, and the Mac Mini hasn't normally got a display attached to it. (Watching the Mac Mini means turning the TV on!)
I've tried the three Rs, with no effect. I think this only happened after the iTunes v7.1.1 update. Is this happening to anyone else, or just me?

I am having the same problem and it happened after the update. The only way to safely disconnect my nano from my macbook is to drag the ipod icon to the recycle bin.

Hey i have an Ipod nano, 2 gen i think, 2gb. When I plug it into my computer the "Do Not Disconnect" screen on my Ipod goes up, and even when it's done uploading that screen NEVER goes away, it still charges, but that screen doesn't allow me to listen to my music when it's charging. Can I fix this?

Yes You can fix this easily. First let the Ipod download files from computor(known as sync), once it has downloaded, then click on the nano drive on the desktop, from the file menu click on eject nano or use the apple key(next to space bar) along with the e Key, push these two bottons at the same time. after the nano drive symbol disapears from the desktop, the do not disconnect will be replaced with a charging sybol, and you will then be able to play all tunes on your nano while it's being chared. When the nano is charge it will change the nano display to an electrical plug. Have fun!

IPod "Do not disconnect" message never stops

I get an error message (The iPod "Tubby's iPod" cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application) when trying to eject my iPod from iTunes and computer. The iPod never appears to be finished with updating even though iTunes software states that the update is complete (“Do not disconnect” message never stops flashing on iPod).
iPod info: 30GB iPod Video, iPod Software 1.0 (iPod with Video), updated on 11/7/05
iTunes info: version 6.0.1.3, CD Driver 2.0.4.3, CD Driver DLL 2.0.3.2

Syncing your phones to the same iCloud account won't cause them to both ring all the time, it only puts the same contacts, calendars, and other synced data on the phone. The phones will only ring with someone calls the number associated with the phone.
If you want to stop using iCloud on one or both of the phones, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then choose Keep On My iPhone when prompted. This will disconnect them from iCloud and keep a copy of the synced data on the phone.

If you have been previously using iCloud with your old phone, then when you login to your iCloud account with your new phone all the data from the services you were using will be added to your new phone.

As you can see in the screenshot that it allows me to click the "Smooth clip motion" but the slider is not there for zoom. Any ideas why this is happening all of a sudden? It happens on all clips in this event. The entire event was analyzed after importing.

Not really necessary to go into DFU mode when the device is just reporting it is in recovery mode if it is saying connect to iTunes. Connect to iTunes and do a restore. See this support document if you have any issues. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Books are no longer supported with iPhoto '08 (a roughly six yeal old product) - you can purchase an iLife '09 DVD from someplace like Amazon or eBay and install it - iPhoto '09 is still supported this year

You cannot drag pics from computer to iphone. This has never been a feature of iphone.
You sync them as you would anything esle.
You select photos from the photos tab. Whatever is selected will be on your iphone. Anything not selected will not be. Make sure that everything you want on your iphone is selected, then sync.

hello, i have the problem that my itunes match never ends the sync.
It runs always in a loop
Itunes is in german
I found a lot of solutions with the alt key, deactivate and activate Itunes Match and other, but nothing help.
have anyone a idea what i can do??

I ended up calling Apple, and they had me completely reformat the iPod. This seemed to fix the problem.

I have a new 32mb Touch. I originally synced it while on vacation with PC #1, and it worked perfectly. Now I am home, and I have attempted to sync it with PC #2.
I tried several times to sync to PC #2, and each time it would successfully transfer all (or most) of my media, but the sync process would never end.
I am using iTunes 7.6.1.9, and my Touch is version 1.1.3 with Software Upgrade.
I even went so far as to do a total restore of the Touch, but this doesn't seem to fix the problem.
Any advice would be appreciated.

IPhone Sync Never Ends

When I sync my iPhone 4 to iTunes on my Window's computer, the sync ends on Step 7 and says "Waiting for items to copy." However, it never ends. I cancel the sync, and all the new content is there, but it never ends. The animation at the top shows that its working, but again, never ends. Can anyone help me figure out what is going on?

TMS 14.4 Not Sending Notice Of End Of Meeting To All Participants (endpoints)

In our environment, TMS 14.4 will send notifications that the meeting will end to the master endpoint in a call. It may receive it once or several times. Other endpoints may receive the message once or several times. Older endpoints like the MX series(not Gen1 or Gen2) or Jabber will not receive any notifications.
Typically, this is configurable in TMS with regards to when the notifications are sent out. But we have found that messages are either sent to the control panel (display) or the monitor. If the control panel is a Cisco model then the message is sent to the control panel. If the model is non-Cisco (Crestron) then the message is sent to the monitor.
You can imagine the participants reaction when the call ends. They are not viewing the control panel for notifications but interacting on the call and viewing the monitor.
I thought TMS might be able to utilize "send message to the system" in the Navigator portion. Is there an API I can call and script sending notification messages to the target endpoints?

TMS generally will only send end of conference notifications to endpoints that are managed by TMS, so endpoints such as Jabber will not work with this regardless. Even then, the message will only get sent to whoever is configured as the video conference master. What you're seeing regarding where the message is displayed is correct, and is by design. I don't think there is a way to make it display on the monitor if a Cisco touch panel is used.
Have you looked at the following setting in TMS: Configuration > Conference Settings > Show In-Video Warnings About Conference Ending?
Starting with TMS 14.3, you can set it to send end conference notifications to all endpoints via the MCU or TelePresence Server that is hosting the conference. Since it would send conference ending notifications via the main video channel, everyone would be able to see it no matter what the endpoint is, and whether they are using a Cisco touch panel as well. See the TMS 14.3 release notes, middle of pg 3 for more information.
