Do Not Disturb!!! Totally stopped disturbing me!!!!

For last two day, the Do Not Disturb feature in Schedule Mode is malfunctioning on my iPhone5 with iOS 6.0.2 (10A551). Whent the Schedule Time feature is turned on; whatever the scheduled time is, it goes into Do Not Disturb mode immidiately; it remains in that mode all the time!!!! and not get back to the normal mode after the schedule time!!!!
Any one faced the same or heard about this problem? Any solution?

my i pad is nor working. totally stop. nothing powder off. nothing any thing

What have you tried so far ? Assuming that the battery isn't empty (it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo will hopefully appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • My scheduled Do Not Disturb function has stopped working; help!

I have the iPhone 5 & the scheduled Do No Disturb function recently stopped working which I was using daily.  The regular Do Not Disturb (on/off) still works

A known Issue... This is what Apple says...

  • HT5463 I'm using my iPhone for my wedding ceromony music will do not disturb also stop game notifications ?

I'm using my iPhone for my wedding ceremony music will the do not disturb stop all game notifications coming through ? Thanks in advance

You might want to just put it in airplane mode as well.
I know DND does not block calls/notifications if the phone is actively being used (not in standby). I haven't experimented, so I'm not sure whether it will consider the phone "in use" if the music player is actively playing.

  • Do not disturb has stopped turning on/off at scheduled times

  • Do Not Disturb function stopped working automatically

My "Do Not Disturb" function on my iPhone 5 worked per the time schedule I set in Notifications. It only works when I manually set the On/Off function. Does anyone have a fix?
Disregard this. I have the January 7 notice.

I had this problem on 1st Jan, and still have this problem today (2/1/13)
I don't know how wide spread this bug it, but I wouldn't call it sporadic, as I have 2 iPhones (iPhone 5 and iPhone 4) as well as an iPad 3 with the latest versions of iOS and ALL 3 have this DND bug
Its so annoying, i'm just waiting on the fix but for now I have had to turn the feature off completely!

  • Google sync stops working after "Do not disturb"

    Hi all,
I have a problem since I started using my iPhone 6.
The device is now running iOS 8.1 but it is present since 8.0.
My work e-mail is a Google Apps account, with sync active, hence configured as Exchange with "push" as data fetch.
The problem is quite strange: everything works fine and push notifications arrive in the correct way during the day.
Then at night, I activate "Do not disturb" mode, and when I wake up in the morning I turn it down.
From that moment, if I don't perform a manual refresh of the Mail app, the push mode does not work: I can't see any e-mail arriving.
When I do the manual refresh, all the unread mails come up, and from that moment, push works well as usual.
I didn't have this problem with my former 4S, I checked the admin board of the Google Apps account but I wasn't able to find anything strange.
Someone else having that problem, and eventually a solution?
    Thanks

Basic troubleshooting with an email account it to delete it and re-add it.

  • How Secure is my iPhone/  provide automatic re-enable of a phone that has set do not disturb.

There are many articles about how smart phones can be hacked to do things not desired.  One I saw discussed recently is that a Smart Phone when turned on
can be send codes to put it in eavesdropping mode where the phone is asking as a transmitter of what is said near it to a phone connection opened by the codes
    sent to turn it on.
One workaround suggested in some discussions was to require everyone to remove the battery from their phone so there is no power for eavesdropping.  Obviously this won't work on an iPhone since the batteries are not removable.  Does the phone provide protection from having eavesdropping instructions from being sent to it?  Is there a way to temporarily disable the phone so it won't respond to such attempts?  If the phone is fully shut down (hold the button down until the turn off option appears and you slide the slide bar to turn it off.  Will it still respond to signals sent to it via the telephone connection or blue tooth link?  Is there a simple way to turn off that capability which allows the user to turn it back on easily when in possession of the phone?
There is a feature to disable receiving calls or messages during a period selected in settings where you give the start and stop of the do not disturb function.
However, I find Do Not Disturb sadly lacking.  If I go into  meeting for theater and am asked to silence my phone Do Not Disturb seems perfect for that need.  However the next morning when my coworkers ask why my phone is disabled, I have to admit I forgot to turn it back on.  What I really need is an option from the easy settings to disable no longer than 2 hours (length of the meeting, concern, movie, dinner party, etc.  then I do not need to remember to turn it back on.
If I set the start and stop time for the do not disturb option for now, if I don't remember to clear it, mu phone will re-enable at the right time but the next day it will go "dark" for the same interval even if I am free.  Was this feature ever tested using real people doing real life situations?  I found holes in the design and easy ways Apple could fix them.  But they keep ignoring my suggestions.
It seems if a feature idea did not come from the design team, the design team does not deign to read and evaluated decent ideas from customers.  I have talked with a number of long term iPhone users who would like such a feature.  I don't know if the competition is doing anything like it.

This is a user-to-user support forum. A good place for suggestions to Apple is https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Do not disturb does not block any incoming calls. Has anyone else had this problem how do you fix it

I Would really like to use this feature. But everytime I activate do not disturb I still receive calls and I am still disturbed.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

If you update to iOS 7.0, DND works both while your phone is locked, & when not locked. On iOS 6.0, only works when your phone is locked.
You have to go into settings and choose which you want.  Always or only when locked.  If you choose only when locked if you ar using your phone for anything, even it if is just sitting on a home page with the screen unlocked DND won't stop a call from coming through.

  • Settings:  Do Not Disturb functionality problem

All of a sudden my do not disturb automatic scheduling stopped working.  It always worked in the past.  Now I can still use it manually, but the automatic times on and off simply don't function.  Does anyone have a fix?

  • HT5463 Will I see the texts/imessages after I turn do not disturb off?

Are texts/imessages blocked completely when DND is on? Or am I just not alerted with sound?
When I turn off the feature will text alerts then show?

Do Not Disturb only stops the Alert sound and vibration. A call or text will still come through, you're simply not disturbed by it. Hence Do Not Disturb
Hope that helps clear things up

  • Do not disturb .silent mode. Alarms

Please do not reply if you are going to have mini debates I would just like straight info or I will stop using this service it's REALLY ANNOYING ok sorry .. Does the alarm clock still go off if in do not disturb mode also when I answer a contact will I need to remember to press the top button again for it to go back into dndmode because I answered my girlfriend and put the phone down went to sleep and got woken up by a random text I have it just on contacts only and no schedule one more thing because k switched on the silent button because of this will my set alarm go off in silent mode..

Thanks for first part, the other part was the schedule mode is switched off and not really relevant just letting people know it was so was more informative .. The real question was my girlfriend phoned me up when I had dnd on which was fine cap I allowed for that when I put contacts only but when I put the phone back down after her call I fell asleep and a random text woke me I thought I would have had to switch dnd off for it to not work but just answering a contact seems to deactivate it . I think I have to click the top button after any call in this mode for dnd to activate seemed odd though am I right

  • Do Not Disturb turned on, call got through after being silenced 7 times

    Hi all,
I scheduled DND to automatically turn on every night and it's been working fine until tonight. Someone called me during the night and after 7 missed (silenced) calls, the 8th got through. Fortunately I was not asleep yet but it was very irritating as I don't like being disturbed at night.
"Repeated calls" has always been and is still disabled; the 8 calls took place within 16 minutes and came from the same number, which was not in my favorite (it wasn't even in my contacts) so I really don't know what went wrong.
I was not using the phone at the time so I'm sure it was locked.
Has this happened to anyone else?
    iOS 6.1.3
    iPhone 4S
Keywords: Do Not Disturbed not working, Do Not Disturb stopped working, Do Not Disturb doesn't work, Do Not Disturb bug

    Found the answer:
Repeated Calls: If someone calls you twice within three minutes, the call will not be silenced.

  • Do Not Disturb function now blocking calls

I recently updated my iPhone 4S to the latest iOS 8.0.2 and aside from annoying side effects like an unusually sticky keyboard and the occasional crashing app, I've come across an even more inconvenient issue, for me anyway.
I regularly use Do Not Disturb to completely silence my phone while working, studying, sleeping or in a meeting. It used to show a missed call if someone had tried to reach me but now there is absolutely no indication that anyone called, unless they have left a voicemail.
Is there any way to stop this? I don't want to have to "allow calls" from certain contacts or from favourites; I want to completely silence ALL calls but show a record that the call came in so I can return it if necessary.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks!

I could but then I have to go into my notification settings and do it manually - I use this function regularly, several times a day and often in a hurry. I don't want to have to go into my settings every time when I used to be able to do it at the flick of a button.
My phone is usually on vibrate, using the switch at the side of the device. That means I know if I get a message or a call without excessive noise when in the office or in public. If I am expecting a call or in a noisy environment and want to make sure I hear the ring, I put it on "loud" using that same switch. DND was a quick and easy way to silence everything, including vibrate, when heading into a meeting or going to sleep.
I just don't understand why they would take this function away and was hoping there was a way round it.

  • IOS 6: Do Not Disturb and Clock app

    Hi all,
Does the Do Not Disturb feature stop the default Clock app from sounding an alarm?
    Thanks in advance!

DND apparently means "do not disturb me with phone calls or notifications". Alarms are viewed as being so important, they sound even with DND on and even with your Mute switch on silent.
I don't know of any way to keep alarms from sounding except turning the phone off. Be careful when you're at the library or an important lecture or a symphony concert.
And by the way, if DND is turned ON and your phone is not locked (for example, you're running a travel clock app all night) phone calls and notifications will come thru and are NOT silenced. DND only works when the phone is locked with the screen off. Some people think that's great; others feel it needs improvement.
