Do not print empty reports

Good afternoon,
My question is:
How i could avoid printing reports when the detail rows are empty ?
We have scheduled several CR XI and sometimes they have no data, so i would like to avoid these reports printed, just with the report header.. Have i any way of doing this.

Yes Sastry, I have tried this before asking in the forum, this was the issue, if i have clicked the "Suppress printing if no records" why i am getting the Header when it is schedule?...
On the other hand if the report is executed (refreshed) i have nothing, which is perfect..
I am thinking this error could be due to the program used for scheduling it (Easy View) instead of Crystal Report XI.

Print empty report

Can I somehow print an empty report, and specify with a parameter how many times it should be repeated?
The report is a form with checkboxes, and sometimes we want the empty one for someone to fill in when out on the field. And since this form is a subreport, we cant print the entire report over again, but need the subreport to be repeated, let's say five times.

Can not print Crystal Reports

I am using BO XIR2 and I have several reports created. They display fine but I can not print them. When I login and pull up the report and click the print icon, I get a small blank window and thats it.
Can anyone help me with this please?

HP Officejet Pro 8500 will not print documents/reports for Quicken 2008

New computer will not print in Quicken 2008 Software Program. Attempted all possible solutions. I have Windows 7 installed. I downloaded and installed the new software for HP Office Pro 8500 to work with the Windows 7. The Quicken 2008 Software Program stopped printing as a result. All other software programs prints perfectly. Help! I get no support from Quicken Help.

Do you have the 64 bit version of WIn 7? This thread suggests printing from the 64 bit Vista (and WIn 7 would be similar) is an issue in Quicken 2008 and 2009. The thread suggests there is a solution but the link requires registering for the Quicken forum and that did not work for me this afternoon.

Not printing some reports

I'm currently using SYSPRO 6.1 and CrystalReports 2008. When I try to print to crystal reports, I receive the error in the attached image. Any help in resolving this would be great.

Looks like a data base connection issue. However not knowing how CR is implemented in SYSPRO, there is not much I can do. Best thing to do will be to contact SYSPRO and see if then can help.'

How to not print empty dates in list

hi all,
i am trying to print events from iCal... Using the list option. It is showing dates with no events. Is there a way to just show dates with events?

Yeah, I don't think there is a way to print in list form and not show the blank dates. Maybe that will change in advances to iCal.

Not sending empty reports

If we shedule a report, how can we be sure that a report is not send to people when it has no data?

If the report is crystal reports you can use its alerting features. It only sends the alert, but this has a link to the report included.
You can also look at publications.

I can not print a report from my quicken program because the printer name has the word on in it

I recently purchased and installed a HP Officejet Mobile L411 printer. For all apps. on my computer (Window&) the printer name is as follows: HP officiate Noble L411. On my Quicken program the printer name is as follows: HP Officejet Mobile L411 on USB001. In checking Quickens help/troubleshooting guide, Ifound thirst statement, make sure the printers name doesn"t contain the word "on". My question is how do I get my printers name in Quicken changed so it doesn't contain the word "on"

Try opening the PDF in Preview and see if it will print out of it.

When you say your printer will not print any "reports", do you mean it won't print anything? Are you getting any error messages, if so, what are they? Any extra information you can provide may help with a solution.

My Labview programe can work well until I use the tool "Building a Stand-Alone Application or Shared Library" .I want to change my program to be a *.exe file. The matter is that my printer can not print the report.what can I do?

I experienced almost the same problem. I could run and print report on my computer with FDS Labview 6.0.2, but after distribution of stand alone application I received error message: "oleautomg.cpp line 364" and no printed report. I am using W98 on both computers.
I contacted NI, but they did not give me any useful advice. So I temporarily solved this problem by creating Excel report with minimized window, so user does not see anything on the screen. I am still looking for solution to work through normal report. On my opinion application builder does not pick up some *.dll that is necessary to print standard report.

How to print a report which is consist a paper parameter form

I have created a report file with paper parameter form and also create a form. Now , when I try to run this form it display

Report generation tool kit not printing

I had the report generation tool kit version 1.01 for some time but never used it. I was comfortable with printing front panel vi 's.
But now I installed it on my computer with a windows 2000 and LabView 6.02 .
I created an application (executable) that will print (using the report
genartion tool kit). The application works fine in my development computer
(win 2000).
When I installed it on another computer with a win 2000, it prints as
expected
but when I try to exit I get a message from windows that the application is not responding (I have to go to task manager and terminate the application).
Both computers have word and Excell installed
I installed the application on a third computer (win 2000), but this com
puter does not have word or excell installed. The application does not print the
portion of the software that uses the report generation tool kit, but it can print the front panel of vi's (set to print an end of excution).
In all 3 computers, I have runtime engine 6.02 installed. My vi is simply
the example vi ""Sample test report.vi"", but customized to my application, printing standard report.
What is happening ?

Based on what you sent, the version of Excel and Windows that are being used is a non issue since none of the code makes any calls to either one. They all refer to the older version of the report generation VIs that use NI's proprietary report generator.
I can think of two explainations. First, you aren't using what you think you are. Second, NI retained the same VI names when they went to the Word/Excel version of the generator, and I am linked into the old version.

AR aging report does not print alphabetically by customer name in 8.8

AR aging report does not print alphabetically by customer name in version 8.8.
It is possible to create a custom layout for the receivables aging summary report (to print alphabetically by BP name) to overcome this problem. However, itu2019s not possible for the u201Cdetailed receivables aging reportu201D or u201Ccustomer statement reportu201D.
Why has SAP changed this functionality? In version 2007 SAP takes the order of the rows set on the screen unless other order is specified in the layout.
How can we make the u201Cdetailed receivables aging reportu201D and u201Ccustomer statement reportu201D print alphabetically by customer name?
Steps to reproduce:
Business partners > Business partner reports > Aging > customer receivables aging
Doubleclick on customer name to sort it in alphabetical order.
Click on preview and select u201Creceivables aging summary reportu201D.
The system layouts do not print by customer name in alphabetical order.
Click on preview and select u201Cdetailed receivables aging reportu201D. The system layouts do not print by customer name in alphabetical order.
Also, customer statement report does not print by customer name in alphabetical order.
In SAP 2007 versions, when a marketing document or aging report is printed, SAP takes the order of the rows set on the screen unless other order is specified in the layout.
In SAP 8.8 although it works the same way for marketing documents, it doesnu2019t work like this for Aging reports.
I was able to change the order for the u201CReceivables Aging Summary Reportu201D only. We cannot overwrite a System report, I had to create a new layout called: u201CBusiness Partner Aging (Summary) (Alphabetically Sorted)u201D.
I couldnu2019t set up the order based on BP Name for the other 2 options: Detailed Receivables Aging Report and Customer Statement Report (One page per Customer).
Iu2019ve checked print settings and properties, and I donu2019t see any way of changing the default order for these reports.

Reported it to SAP support + they plan to fix it in a future patch.

Report intermittently not printing in HP printer

Hi All,
We are currently facing an issue printing a report in HP printers.
We have a report developed in oracle report 6i and this report is in pdf format and registered in oracle apps 11.5.4.
There are few occassions where running this report (thru concurrent manager) doesn't print to HP printers but the concurrent program finishes successfully (completed - normal in view concurrent request) and the log says that the program has been executed successfully without error and output is being printed on the printer but in contrary nothing is actually printed.
The output is being produced and can be viewed in the view concurrent request screen and when you reprint it still nothing appears on the printer.
We just notice that the HP printer flashes its lights, as if something is being printed, and finishes with nothing on the printer as well as in the printer server queue.
Please note that this behaviour is intermittently happening in HP printer but not in other printers. Before, we are using Lexmak printer and this problem is not being encountered.
Has anybody faced similar issue with HP printer before? or anybody could give us a hint on why this is hapenning?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I see you are experiencing ink issues. I would like to help.
I would recommend performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend following the steps in this document on Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues.

Report builder not printing

HI all,
we were using Oracle Report 6i on windows XP Service pack 2, Oracle Database 10.1.0.2.0 On AIX 5.2 and SEDCO Magina L2200c printer was being used to print the reports from report Builder 6i and it was working fine. but now just we change the our user PC instead of service pack2 we are using service pack 3 and insatllesd oracle report builder 6i on it .but its not printing properly (it skip some character). i check the NLS_LANG=ARABIC_UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.AR8MSWIN1256 ,it is same as previous, we using arabic language. if any body has idea please do suggest me what should be taken. i am waiting for your response.

Report 6i That is not very specific. Are you on the latest patch (patch set 17 I believe)?
It could also be a problem with the printer. Check for driver updates for this specific printer.
