Do not receive a confirmation mail for the Apple ID

Hi!
After upgrading to IOS7, my iCloud account settings on the phone seems to be messed up.
I have an old Apple ID attached to my iCloud on the iPhone. I don't have access to that e-mail anymore (and don't remember the password), but have changed to a gmail account. When I access iCloud on my iPhone it says that the account is not confirmed and that it should have been a mail sent to my gmail accound with information on how to confirm the account.
The problem is that I never get this mail to the gmail address and I can't erase the iCloud account since it then need password for the old Apple ID.
I'm totally stuck. Does anybody have the same problem or even better - a solution...??

You don't need an Apple ID to use a "classic" iPod.  You only need a computer (Mac or PC) that can run iTunes.  If your iPod is older, your computer does not even need to run the latest version of iTunes.  You can add songs to your iTunes library from music CDs, and song files you have already.  Then sync the iPod to that iTunes library.
An Apple ID only comes into play, if you want to buy and download songs (and other media) from the iTunes Store.  This document describes how to create an Apple ID without a credit card

    I can receive apple emails when resetting password, Apple support etc, why can't I receive the verification one?

    Simply follow the link in the verification email that says "Verify Now." Sign in with your current Apple ID and password, then click Verify Address. You can also verify by signing in at My Apple ID. You'll receive an email prompting you to verify.

  • HT204088 I did not receive a order number for the ringtone(I won't let go), I was charged 3.00's for one ringtone. The charges appear on my debit card for it.

    Delete those apps that are not under your Apple ID and re-download them using your Apple ID.

  • I downloaded my Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 design standard, student and teacher licensing and it load ed.  I am waiting for an email to finish up but I have not received it yet,  I had the serial number entered in and everything should have been good to go.

    I downloaded my Creative Suite 5.5 student teacher licensing software.  I all loaded fine in my Mac but at the end of the download it gave me a message that I would need to check my e-mail for further steps in order to be able to use the software.  I have not received this e-mail yet.  I had my email listed as <Removed by Moderator>

    I noticed this when I started my iCloud e-mail account a few months ago. I am not receiving iCloud e-mails when there is a specific group of "To:" addresses in the body of an e-mail. I can receive the e-mail on my outlook & local cable providor e-mail accounts with all of the addresses listed. If I strip out the "To:" addresses and send it from my local cable providor e-mail account to my iCloud e-mail account than I will receive the e-mail in my iCloud account (minus all of the "To:" addresses that are in the body of the e-mail. This has caused me to miss a lot of e-mails.
    Following is one of the e-mail that I can send from my cable providor account and not receive it in iCloud. If I strip out all of the "To:" addresses I will receive it in iCloud. I have a case open with Apple but it is not going anywhere. This occurs from multiple sending internet service providors (ISP's) so I think it's an Apple iCloud e-mail processing issue.

    I've been having a very similar problem to what ziemsen describes, for about a week now. The Mail app has stopped delivering new messages to the Inbox, even though I can view the newly incoming messages on the server via Webmail. I am able to send email through Mail with this email account, and as for the other email accounts that I have on Mail (which are also hosted by the same server), I am able to both receive and send email with no problem.
    None of the mail settings have been changed, so how this happened all of a sudden is very puzzling. I have checked Account Info on the problem account - Mail recognizes that there are messages that are on the server yet to be downloaded, but it won't download them.
    I've checked what other users have suggested here in the Discussions Forum, and tried: 1) deleting the problem Mail account from Mail and re-adding it; 2) creating a new machine User account and setting up Mail with that User; 3) setting up Mail on another machine; 4) archiving and re-installing OS, and even 5) wiping the HD entirely and reinstalling the OS. None of these have worked.
    Ernie, your suggestion of deleting the MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded file sounded like the solution to the problem, so I just tried it - but to no avail. Mail delivers messages that are on the server to my Inbox up until the same point that it always stops at, and there are almost 1000 new messages since then.
    I am pretty lost at this point - I have no idea what else I can possibly do to resolve this problem. The strange thing is, when I tested my email accounts on Microsoft Entourage and Mozilla Thunderbird, they don't have this problem - both deliver all of my incoming mail. I may have no choice but to switch to one or the other at this point, but I'm attached to Mail and would really like to continue using it if I can. Any advice would be much much appreciated.

    "The iTunes Store account entered has already applied to distribute content on the iBookstore. To continue with this application, you must enter a different iTunes account." How do I even log in to the account that I already applied for???

    Did you use an existing Apple ID or create a new one just for paid books sales/distribution?

    Why is my iPad not able to download mail when the iPhone next to it can and the iPad may be able to do it 24 hours later with no change in settings?  This happens with multiple email accounts at the same time in several locations on many occasions.  The setting is to check emails every 15 minutes.   It says it is checking but nothing comes up while it does on my Mac or iPhone

    I have exactly the same problem here.
    Can see new email appearing straight away on the iPhone and Windows pc, but very erratic on the iPad.  Sometimes the emails appear immediately on the iPad, other times they don't appear for hours. 
    One thing I have noticed if I go and change the "delete messages - remove" setting to something other than what it was set (for instance from "never" to "one month") it seems to jiggle something and the outstanding emails all suddenly appear.
