DO NOT UPDATE NOKIA N95-2 8G FIRMWARE 30.0.018

There is what appears to be some type of conflict or issue that several of us are having after updating our phones, it involves connectivity to WLAN. After doing the update we are unable to connect and it appears there is some type of program trying to install every time you start/power up the phone. Please see the related posts,and Moderators plaese try to help us out here, Nokia where are you ? we need your help...

i use N73 ME and i updated my phone to the latest firmware, i too faced the same problem when i switch ON the phone phone was trying to install an application failing to do throwed this message "untrusted application found on the memory card go to app manager to install it" actually it was a ZIP format provided i didnt install ZIP manager in the phone
Finally i went back to sterotype method of RESET *#7370# and found to be fruitful the app was not in the APP manager try this
ALL THE BEST think will come fruitful to UUUUUUUUUU
Hi mate dont forget to back up all ur data like contacts, messages etc.... u will not get it back after reset

Nokia N95 8gb latest firmware update 21/02/13

Hi, I have had a problem whilst updating my N95 8gb and now it appears, I think, that the firmware version I have is an older one than I had previously, but there isn't anything newer showing as availaable. I have 35,0.001. I am sure that the last time I had a problem, after it was "flashed", the firmware I had installed by the shop was this and then when I got home and went to restore my files, there was a new update available on line. The rreason I say this is that the icons and colours etc are like the version installed by the shop, about 1 year ago and when I updated the software everything was different. If what I am saying is correct, does anyone know if this newer firmware update has now been withdrawn or can anyone throw any light on the subject as I am a little confused! Thanks

If your N95 8GB is RM-320 the last available firmware for all product codes is v35.0.001. Using restore via Nokia Suite can only reset your individual personalisation settings.

Software update NOKIA N95 8Gb

Trying to update my NOKIA N95 8G with Nokia OVI suite because Nokia PC suite doesn;t offer software update anymore. Getting the well known error : 12017 . I looked up forums and saw all kind of solutions , turning off Internet Connection Sharing ( ICS ) i checked on my XP sp3 in Computer Management > Services ... no ICS there. ok! I tried another solution , installed Beta Nokia Updater... but that software founds no UPDATE! OK! my last wish is to RESOFT at least my phone... is that possible ? I dont need a update ... only re-soft!
Please , anyone can try helping me ?

having the exact same problem with my e71. running Vista Sp2. updated to new PC Suite/NSU, it recognizes my phone but then fails once it tries to update firmware to 300.21.012.
i've seen a variety of solutions online and none have worked. among them:
restarting computer
restarting phone
selecting "general" profile (or "normal" on e71)
turn off Internet Connection Sharing
run NSU in Compatibility Mode
turn off Aero Glass
make IE default browser
disable antivirus software
disable firewall
disable Offline Mode in IE
quit all other running apps
shut down all Nokia apps, plug in phone, THEN start NSU
that's all i can remember. anyway, none of it has worked. also saw a post that maybe Nokia's servers are just down.
any thoughts?

Browser Encoding problem after update Nokia N95 8G...

I installed the software update for my phone Nokia N95 8GB, every thing goes fine, after completing the update I am not able to browse any arabic web page ( it is unreadable ) even if you change the default encoding to all possible values, does any one has an answer to this problem

As others have pointed out, this is a problem with T-Mobile. It is up to them to release an update but they'll only do so when they're good and ready, if at all.

My N95 is not working, when i push my on button, it opens but the display is black but the other is ligthen up.
I think it's because I theme that I applied yesterday.

If you cannot reset the phone to factory default then I think the only option is to send it to the Nokia Service centre. I presume it is under warranty.

Presumably you are referring to FOTA feature for which ironically it seems that more S60 3rd edition devices (Non-Feature Pack 1) were supported and actually used this feature than the actual FP1 devices themselves. Think of the N80, N80IE and N73, all supporting and even frequently updating via FOTA.
Nokia then seemed to be making a new attempt at using FOTA by releasing the FOTA-only software version 11.043 for the FP2-based N78 and of course now for N96.

Problem Updating Nokia C3-00 to firmware v08.70 as...

I can`t update my Nokia C3-00 firmware to v08.70 as Nokia Suite or Nokia Software Updater... I`m recieving an error that my connection to the phone have been lost and I have to follow some steps in adition to restore the connection but it doesn`t restore; I recieve a blank screen on the phone "Test mode" and i have to eject the battery and put it back and it comes to normal but no sign of v08.70....
Please help me!!!

Spa5xx phones does not update timezone via xml files- firmware 7.4.9a

I am unable to update the time zone uisng a xml file that is downloaded from the Broadsoft platform. When When i extract the SPACFG.xml file from the phone the timezone field displays thsi error: "<Time_Zone group="Regional/Miscellaneous">[LABEL NOT FOUND]</Time_Zone>.
Attached is the SPACFG.xm phone configuration file and the 509system.xml that the phone downloads form the server during auto configuration process.

Can be a notation error in your xml. Try to change this:

Nokia N95 8Gb New Firmware Version 20.0.016

So I installed the new version, but after doing that I keep having problems with my phone.First it took me about 5h to make the restore, and I had to do it a few times, 'cause either the phone blocked or something else..but ok.
since then, every time I put the phone on it takes me ages to turn on, and as soon as the display stops showing the hands(nokia hands) it becomes black, and after a few minutes it tells that it couldn't install all the things from the mass memory and if I wanted to do that I should do it from the app manager. BUT... just after this message gets of(sometimes it doesn't it just gets blocked), the phone starts to install something, you cannot stop it, and again it gets blocked. it needs about 10 to 30 minutes to be normal.
Does anybody knows what is it about?!?!?

Perhaps lots of apps are installed on your memory card.
You can delete them permanaently from APP manager
OR
You can reinstall them again in APP manager.
Because you installed many apps in past ,They may not install now.To insatll them you may need to set a appropriate date in PAST.

N79 clock is not updated

Hello!
After unblocking N79 keyboard, sometimes clock is slow, even for good 30 minutes late. This glitch is year old, and keeps going from fw to fw, it even exists in newest v 32 fw. Does anybody in Nokia use N79?
It was once fixed (in v 11, with which i bought my phone) but later it appeared again.

Nokia N95 How to print sms?

I am using Nokia N95 (not the Nokia N95 8g) My Sms (messages) are stored at the memory card. How do I print the messages?

Messages are not stored on the SIM card, but in the phone memory.
Unfortunately, the 3310 is a very old model that pre-dates PC-Connectivity so there isn't a method to copy the messages and install them to a newer model.

N95 Not Updating Firmware with Updater

okay, so i've changed my product code and now i have version 12. to make sure nothing went wrong and nothing was deleted, I removed my memory card. did the update, then put it back in. Now it is asking for my memory card password
I've never set one, i had a pin lock before, but its not accepting it, whats happend?

It looks like new firmware update is available for Nokia N95 basic model .
Earlier Version of Firmware was : 30.0.015
Now the latest available Firmware was : 31.0.014
When i connected my N95 to PC using PC-Suite, it notified me about this. But when i searched the internet for change log , i found none. Is it right firmware , why Nokia didn't disclose change log, which it used to do it earlier ???
I will wait for 2 more days for official communication from Nokia....

Ok, so no one wants to install this firmware because theyre affraid they loose their freedom?
Somebody should shine a light on this FW, or nokia has
