Do NOT attempt to insstall latests EFI update. It breaks Macbook Air stability. I just run tests and are 100% sure. My macbook after update is getting this messages in kernel:

after analyzing logs, this started to happen AFTER EFI update on 13 of September. This resulting in total hung of macbook. Now i want to roll back that update.
This is confirmed for Macbook 13" (Mid 2011)

I press the power button and then press and hold the D key.
I do not, wouldn't be caught dead using it.
I connect numerous ways, I'll ocasionally use the USB-to-Ethernet adapter, I've connected to a Time Capsule as well as an AirPort Extreme Base Station. I'm currently connected to a corporate 802.1x wireless network behind an Aruba M3 Wireless Access Point.
I do not (nor have in the past on this particular machine)
Earlier in your post you indicated that that there's been an issue with the EFI firmware update on your machine. It's very possibly and likely that other services which are negotiated on the EFI level are not working properly as a result of the problem you're having.

Bookmarks are not syncing to ONE of my Macs, but showing up on other Mac (work), iPhone 4 and iPad 1. Macs are on Mountain Lion. Yeah, I literally have tried everything except deleting my iCloud account (I'm close, but that would require so many changes that it is way too painful to consider at this point).
I am still waiting to hear back from Apple Support. Hopefully something can be done, or they can do a reset on their end.

Hello , Recently my company purchased a Fujifilm X30 . We were surprised that Adobe has not updated the plug in for this camera. Since we are your customers, we would like to know, when they will perform this update ? For us it is very important to work with all our tools work quickly and efficiently, I guess I understand.

I have an Iphone 4 from a friend. It was never updated with him and now I am trying update to latest software version. It is currently in 4.3.2 and it updates till the last few seconds and then a message, with no error number, states that the internet connection had time out during update. I am using my PC and have tried unsuccessfully for a week. I have tried to restore setting on phone first before plugging in to PC and updating software through Itunes? I took it to my mobile phone outlet and they couldn't help? Is there another way?

Received notice to update ITunes. When downloading, got error message "ITunes has an invalid signature" and would not update. Never had an update issue until this download. How do i rectify this error?

I would recommend a complete uninstall as outlined in the article below. Make sure to process the uninstall in the order specified.

Once uninstalled, download iTunes directly from here iTunes 11.0.4 or iTunes.com. Make sure to save the file to your desktop instead of selecting the run option. Locate the file on your desktop, right click and select run as administrator. This should allow the install.

Yahoo email not updating after latest ios update?
I updated my iphone 5 to the latest ios version yeaterday and ever since my yahoo email will not update unless I go into mail app and refresh it. Is this a bug with the ios update or something with Yahoo mail? I also have a gmail account but it seems to be working ok. Hard to tell though as it does not get as much email. Any help would be apprecaited.
no, you need to actually go to your settings and change it to push data rather then fetch it manually.
Settings>mail contacts and calendars>fetch new data>Push should say on.
and if it says its already on, tap it to turn it off, then tap again to turn it back on.
also, www.downrightnow.com you can see how extremely often throughout the day yahoo mail servers are down. -
Ipod not connecting again, apple please read this.
First let me state that I made posts awhile back about my Ipod touch not being able to be recognized by itunes at all and just as a camera by windows. Now every single guide did nothing to help and the FEW people that posted had posted things I already did that did not help.
HOWEVER the version of Itunes that was prior to the one I just downloaded connected PERFECTLY with no issues.
But I just updates and wouldnt you know it, the connection problem is BACK. Apple please read this, the last version of Itunes had something different with how it connected to the Ipod...PLEASE bring that back, its so inconvenient not being able to connect to my own Ipod
If someone wants to post a reply that might help feel free...but everything on this website and even a few others not posted here have not worked, this is mostly me praying that Apple reads it...that tiny difference on how it connected made a huge difference with my computer.Thanks. I worked out a simpler method of turning off the internet access - just switching off my wireless modem. Either way, this works and with the PC not connected to the internet, all three Apple devies will sync.
Thinking about it now, I had a similar problem a few versions ago which I recognised because with Home Sharing on and connected to the internet iTunes was trying to find files from someone in another hotel room who also sharing the hotel's wireless network. My devices would not sync then either. This seemed to be resolved with subsequent itunes upgrades until now ....
Thanks for the advice. Let's hope Apple's next 'update' actually updates itunes so it can sync Apple devices whilst simultaneously connected to the internet (not a big ask really). -
If you are desperately waiting for a new update... Read this!
WOW! Just saw this post. This is really pushing me towards Roku or Andoid mini-PC... I did their survey and commented in there that I do realize technology is always changing/improving/etc... But the existing WD TV lives that I have could very easily be fixed with a proper firmware update. One that fixes the rather serious memory leak, particularly with Netflix. And I know it wouldn't be that hard to get a proper programmer to resolve how slow the device is to refresh it's library from an NAS. Just need someone to take the time. Really hope WD is reading this, as they are going to end up putting a really bad name behind a device that has some amazing potential! It just needs to be finished, rather that left in this "beta" stage it's in now.
I believe it was more to do with a licensing thing so they took out Netflix. Help! Podcast not updating - how do I fix this?
I have been asked to look into why our podcast (Without Limits Christian Center) is not updating in iTunes. I am not familiar with iTunes at all and to be honest the specs are a little like reading Greek at this point. The web address where our podcast is located is http://wlcconline.com/index.php/?/media/podcasts/.
I know we switched servers a while back with out web host (GoDaddy) from a Windows server to a Linux. Is that the problem? Can anyone give me any guidance on what might be going on and how to fix it - preferably in English and not tech language if that is possible. Thanks!!Roger,
Thank you so much for your help! It is beginning to make sense. I took a look at your site, and from what I'm reading there and in the technical specs for iTunes, it looks like I need to remove our podcast and resubmit it with your new URL, since our old one is no longer accessible at all.
Could you help me with one more thing? I believe our new URL would be the one below, does this look right to you? It goes to the page where our podcasts are now located. I checked with our web host, and they believe it is right, but they don't have any iTunes experience, so thought I'd check with you as well.
Also, would take any hints you have on removing the podcast and resubmitting for a new one. Our developer did it for us last time, but I'll be doing it this time so that part is new as well.

Camera Raw will not update to latest version
Help, Can someone please help me. Have been trying for about 4 hours to update my version of Photoshop CS6 and keep getting response that
"The update server is not responding. The server might be offline
temporarily, or the Internet or firewall settings may be incorrect."
I have tried shutting off my Norton firewall temporarily and then tried to run the updates, no luck. Tried downloading the updates from the Adobe website,
then rebooted and it's still the same old version. Need to update my Camera Raw as well and again, can't get any updates to work. Can someone please help?
Very frustrated that there is no number to call for assistance.Found the problem. After a couple of very frustrating hours, and trying everything I could possibly think of with firewall and internet settings, I decided to just just try plugging in to my modem directly instead of working over WiFi. Adobe Updates from within the program ran perfectly, first time. The issue, as bizarre and crazy as it seems, is that you can't run updates when you're working on WiFi. To prove it, after my updates were downloaded and installed, I tried to run the updater again and received the same error message. So my problem is solved. No WiFi when trying to run updates!!!

Last week, I hit update all apps. Unfortunately, the apps have not updated and continue to say waiting. What can I do to fix this, so I can use the 26 apps that are pending?
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

I'm an Acrobat 8 user, and I have the latest version of Reader (checked--no updates are available). After a recent update to Reader, Firefox stopped supporting .pdf files. I tried updating to the latest Firefox version--5.0, but I still have the problem.
This forced me back to Internet Explorer, which has no problem displaying PDF files.
Is there a Firefox fix that I can use, or should I just give up on it?This seemed to be a recurrent solution 2004-2006, and looks the same as what you found for yourself.

If your phone is locked to a network, you will only be able to use a sim card from that network - other sim cards will not work.
But this is not necessarily the reason why you cannot update the firmware.
When your phone checks whether an update is available it sends it internal product code to the server. It is this product code that determines what firmware is available to your handset.
Many carriers have handsets specifically tweaked for their networks. These handsets have product codes that are specific to that network and have specific tweaked firmware that goes along with it. When Nokia release a firmware update it is for GENERIC Nokia phones that don't have carrier-specific firmware. It is up to the carriers to have their specific firmwares updated to the latest version. With some carriers this takes a long time.
So if your phone is not a generic Nokia handset, but has a carrier-specific product code with carrier-specific firmware, then you won't be able to install updated firmware until your carrier decides to release updated firmware, even if Nokia has released the generic version and even if your handset has be UNLOCKED from the carrier.
When a phone with carrier-specific firmware is unlocked from a network, it is simply allowed to operated on other carrier's networks. It still has carrier-specific firmware and a carrier-specific product code.
If the carrier is slow in updating firmware, then what you need to do is not only unlock the phone, but DEBRAND it by changing its product code to the generic Nokia code for that handset and area. That way it will update with generic firmware and not carrier specific firmware. Debranding voids you warranty, so it's not an option for some.
