Do Palettepanel and Adobe Air work together?

Hallo!
when I am working with Flex and the Adobe Flash Player everything is fine. I even can use the Adobe Paltettepanel to integrate my Flex applications in Adobe Indesign.
But when I want to use the Palletepanel in an Adobe AIR application nothing works.
My question:
Do Adobe Palettepanel and Air work together?

Hi Alois,
If I'm not mistaking than Patch Panel was designed for the Flex developers and I don't think it has support for AIR.

I'll say for the moment no it doesn't, it has been requested and
probably in the future it'll work with AIR.

and my old file work well inside Flash in Desktop mode but when I

Do you install AIR 1.5.1 on your machine? How this has to do
with CS4?

Kind Chef mobile app, used Starling and Adobe AIR

Hi everyone,
Recently we were busily working on an idea called "KindChef" which is a system that helps restaurants and we as customers.
We have started a campaign for it on Indiegogo site, which is a crowdfunding site backed by Google as some of you may have heard about it, so that we can find the ones who are interested in the idea and can back us and contribute to it to help us make it happen...

We have developed a MVP (Minimum viable product) mobile app for it, using Starling and Adobe AIR. But it's not the end product and is not so optimized yet. It's just a sample app to show how the system works, but yet so many other features will be added to it's release version as we have discussed on the campaign page.
We're also going to develop a control panel for restaurants too to manage their restaurant better. we're also going to develop a desktop app for them using Adobe AIR.
Honestly, there are two reasons why I am talking about it here:
1) the Web developer’s perks, which provides AS3 programmers with many useful designs and OOP code snippets that we have used while developing the project and can help you a lot on your projects.
Also we are giving away all of the Adobe AIR Native Extensions that have been used inside of the project.
2) the second reason is to spread the word. Because sharing a campaign is a really important thing as Indiegogo counts this as a positive point for the campaigns, so if you just share it you have helped us a lot in our way, or you may also contribute to it

Confused about how Adobe Reader& Adobe acrobat work together?

I have had Adobe Reader for some time--used to have Acrobat too, but when it became outdated-- a "pc-"fixer -upper" convinced me I needed Adobe Flash Player installed. This did nothing for me. I have an older computer--do not watch movies or even many DVD's or videos on my computer and don't download songs either. I would like to understand how all these Adobe products work together and what they can do for me. I do use and read and print PDF files from various organizations and would like to be able to combine or merge these if it will take up less space. I am not very computer literate so I need some help. Thanks for any suggestions from readers & probably I need to watch the instructional aids.

Adobe Reader is purely a PDF viewer, with the ability to fill forms or add comments.
Adobe Acrobat can create, edit, merge PDF files. Of course it can also be used to only view PDF files.
Older versions of Acrobat (9 and earlier) did not work well together with Adobe Reader; Acrobat X and XI work perfectly well with Reader X and XI.
Regarding your idea "to combine or merge these if it will take up less space"; I don't think doing this will result in less space usage.

Does updating Flash Player and Adobe Air solve the Swf.Exploit.CVE_2014_0581 problem?

My ClamXav found the following attached to an app (JL Edwardian Advent Calendar) on my computer: Swf.Exploit.CVE_2014_0581. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, and I have updated the Flash Player and Adobe Air, but ClamXav continues to mark it as infected. Could this be a false positive? Is it safe to run this app after the updates?

Interestingly air 3.7 on IOS to Desktop air 3.7 will work.
I am investigating if I can use 3.7 on Android to connect to 3.7 on iOS - so far I cannot get the apk to install on my Galaxy S3, compile using 3.4 and all is good. Air runtime has been updated via Play store - and build uses compiled runtime.
I cannot get Flash player 11.4 to connect with air 3.7 on iOS either.
NetGroup.Neighbour.Connect never fires.
All SDKS above 3.4 upto 3.8 beta exhibit the same problem.
3.4 works perfectly and can connect to flash player, and other Air/iOS devices just fine.
Shuld not be a issue with firewalls etc, thay are all open.

Adding gameCenter functionality with actionscript3 and Adobe AIR

I am writing a game in actionscript3 and adobe AIR for the iphone4. Is there a way to connect to iphone's gameCenter in actionscript3, or is that not possible and I am forced to use xcode and objective-C?
If this is not possible, are there any alternatives to gameCenter that I can program with actionscript3 and AIR? For example openFeint??

I am curious if possibly the hotel has some sort of VOIP block on. Have you tried Skype? Did you talk to the hotel staff? My husband is traveling to Milan in a couple of days and I wonder if he will run into the same issue. He has had no problems from Istanbul but he is staying in a corporate apartment there. Google TV and adobe air

I am developing adobe air applications in my company and one of our aims is to be able to run an adobe air application in Google TV. We already have a Google TV device (logitect revue) but we are unable to install adobe air or and adobe air application.
We have tried with the "captive runtime" feature in order to install our application in the device, but we get the following error:

Flash Builder and Adobe AIR: anybody there?

Hi,
I've recently posted quite a few posts reporting very serious bugs of both Flash Builder 4.6 and Adobe AIR especially on mobile platforms, and asking about possible fixes and workarounds.
I would have expected immediate replies by someone at Adobe showing some interest in such blocker bugs that render Flash Builder completely useless, and developing AIR apps for mobile impossible. But there was no reply at all.
I wonder, are Flash Builder and Adobe AIR being maintained, or have they been abandoned? Because in the latter case I'd rather know it and stop wasting my time using this platform for development.

A few days ago, Gartner issued a document, called - as usual for Gartner - "magic quadrant", related to Mobile App Develpment 2012.
This document explains the situation of the different vendors so one can make an educated choice about the IDE to use for platform-independent mobile things.
Adobe is well-positioned in this quadrant. However, Gartner (who have talks with vendors before issueing their reports) only referred to PhoneGap when explaining how Adobe addresses mobile app development.
This is a shame, because FB is powerful and uses ActionScript (which many of us like).
I have bought FB last year and had fun with it. I don't think it's going to last for long, if I Adobe doesn't show that HTML5 + CSS aren't the only way to go.

We upgraded from 11.5.9 to R12.1.1 in Nov-2009.
Since the time we have upgraded to R12, we are trying to make sense as to how and if RBAC and MOAC could work together.
The use case is as below:

Canada Accountant - accesses ‘AR superuser Canada’
France Accountant - accesses ‘AR superuser France’
Spain Accountant - accesses ‘AR superuser Spain’
North America Financial controller - Switches between 'AR superuser US' and 'AR superuser Canada'
European Financial controller - Switches between 'AR superuser France' and 'AR superuser Spain'
CFO - Switches amongst 'AR superuser US','AR superuser Canada', 'AR superuser France' and 'AR superuser Spain'
Now in R12- (Wow there is MOAC!)
US Accountant - accesses ‘AR superuser US’
Canada Accountant - accesses ‘AR superuser Canada’
France Accountant - accesses ‘AR superuser France’
Spain Accountant - accesses ‘AR superuser Spain’
North America Financial controller - accesses 'AR superuser North America'
European Financial controller - accesses 'AR superuser Europe'
CFO - accesses 'AR superuser Global'
With R12 now there are 3 additional responsibilities.
We have (like most of the other EBS customers) custom responsibilities and so there is maintenance.
More the responsibilities more the maintenance...More the SOD issues.
To prevent creating new responsibilities, we could use the ‘MO: Security Profile’ at the user level BUT that would mean that now these users would have access to multiple OUs for all the responsibilities...that is not good.
What-If: There is only 1 responsibility 'AR SuperUser' and somehow using RBAC, roles are created and assigned to users so that they only have access to specific OUs.
Apparently, MOAC works based on MO:Security Profile that is something that RBAC cannot control.
Am I missing something...RBAC seems to be no good?
In PROD(R12.1.1)- We are expecting that we would end up creating 100+ new responsibilities since we have many shared services users and they all want to benefit from MOAC...Appreciate, if you could please help us understand how we can prevent these 100+ new responsibilities from getting created?

Hi Rahul,
your question is quite interesting. I did a lot in the area of RBAC to understand the background.
RBAC mainly allows you to
- group responsibilities
- build hierarchies
- manage low level data access (via VPD)
- Grant permissions (new with R12)
Unfortunately you can't control profile options via RBAC. Therefore, the MO:Sec Profile has to stay on responsibility level. I was playing with the alternative to put this profile option on user level, but also in this case the number of maintenance steps will stay the same.

I'm not sure iBA reacts well to this type of editing, not to mention the cumbersome nature of trying to bring everything together in general.
I'd suggest a workflow where one book is handed off, instead. That, or, let the individuals involved create their basic content in Pages, then when ready, use iBA's Insert Pages Chapters menu to string them together. Best to work in a linear fashion and avoid adding/removing/adding/moving portions, etc.
If you must have separate authors, be sure to use the identical template and have them all properly trained up before going forward - trying this as a learning experience may result in an off-putting experience otherwise , with more time spent on chasing knots than on expressing writing skills, etc.

I've done the set up to join other networks.....trying to get my desktop and laptop to work together.
Is it even possible for them to keep updated info regardless of which one I enter it on?

There are various programs like Dropbox that can help you sync two computers over the network, but I still find them kind of a hassle to set up and maintain.
I simply make my laptop the primary storage, and I turn on File Sharing on my laptop. Then on my desktop I just log into my laptop and open files directly over the network. On my desktop I have aliases to my laptop folders so I can get into them in a couple clicks.

Adobe Cloud window and adobe air not showing up or starting even though it is installed, i have tried reinstalling/uninstalling

I downloaded muse cc 2014. It worked fine for a while (couple of bugs though). Yesterday it would crash whenever it was launched. So i tried to uninstall and re-install. No Luck. Then noticed adobe cloud/adobe air windows were not starting up as per usual on startup and i have been through pc to try to locate and start manually. No Luck with them either, so i have been trying re-download manually, i download the CC exe and try run it from c:drive but no response - not running.
i have tried a restore and that hasnt helped. I have uninstalled all muse versions but now cant re-download it!?
where to from here, urgent help would be appreciated. Thanks
