Do purchased songs count towards the limit?

I was just curious because I am nearing the 25,000 song limit and was wondering if the songs I purchased on iTunes store counted towards this?

Keith,
Sorry - Store purchased music doesn't count....

  • Free game count against the limit

So I purchased Disney magic world and Mario tennis for the 3ds. When I checked out Mario tennis total said 23.99 with Gamers club unlocked written underneath the price. Disney was free do the total said $0.00 with nothing underneath the price.
My question is since I paid nothing for Disney does it not count against my 3 game GCU purchase limit?
If a moderator needs to see my order number please send me a pm,

    Hey again qualityman13,
Good question! Buy One, Get One offers are always a pretty sweet deal, so wanting clarification is certainly understandable.
Anytime that your My Best Buy membership information is attached to a sale, any games purchased on that transaction automatically count towards the three-copy limit of those respective titles. This includes both when your membership info is entered at the time of purchase and when you use the "Forgot Purchase" feature on the My Best Buy site.

  • Recent purchases not counting towards reward zone balance left

I recently purchased a new laptop, and a few other things, and my reward zone says I still need to spend like $2,000 to keep my status of silver plus when I shoulf probably only need about $500-$700.
im not being credit with my reward zone points either. I know you dont get rewards points when you use your credit card anymore, and that is complete b.s., and a slap in the face, been like that for about a year i think know but still its un acceptaple coming from a customer. bestbuy should be giving customers a reason to shop at the store again, not avoid it. even the laptop I just purchased they charged me more then the retail of $1249.99, they charged me $1300.
can any one help me out with why my account shows that i paid $0.00 for these past few items. I had this same issue earlier in the year or maybe close to a year ago now, and it got fixed, but forgot what the issue was.
I'm planning on buying a 500 gb solid state drive tomorrow, and if I dont get credited with my amount needed to keep my status deducted or the 7% rewardz points I Have not been gettong on some purchases either i think its only 1 item my bose headphones I Purchased about 3-4 months ago unless th estore took it upon them selves to make the decision for me, and select financing.

    Good morning jerzeyzfynest,
I can understand wanting to ensure that every qualifying purchase you have made during the 2014 calendar year is taken into consideration when determining if your Elite Plus status will be extended until February 2016.  A potential reason why your Elite/Elite Plus spending bar may not seem accurate is because it can take up to 35 days for a purchase to reflect.  With that being said, the laptop you recently purchased may not reflect for another couple of weeks.
As far as the purchases that are displaying as $0.00 in your account, the most likely reason for that if you used your Best Buy credit card is that the purchase was applied to a promotional financing offer.  If those purchases were eligible for a promotional financing offer, then you would need to have clicked the option for "No Financing."  While a purchase may have been awarded zero points because of promotional financing, the purchase should still count towards reaching Elite or Elite Plus status.
I would like to go over your My Best Buy™ account with you in additional detail to ensure it is up-to-date and to see if there are any other questions I can help answer.  To accomplish that, I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the little yellow envelope at the top of the page.  I look forward to further speaking with you.

  • Purchased songs downloading to the wrong drive & folder

I have another issue... I store all my music on an external hard drive. But When I purchase songs from iTunes Store, they download to a local drive. It's a My Music Folder and has Itunes and Itunes Library in it, but it's not where my music is supposed to go. How do I tell it to download to the external drive?
In Edit/Preferences/Advanced I have it set to look for music in my external drive.

Are you booting up the EHD prior to purchasing from the store? If the EHD is not booted up prior to doing anything in iTunes including purchasing the drive location for the iTunes music folder will revert back to the main drive.

  • How do I view total song count in iTunes 11?  Previous versions listed total song counts at the bottom.

Does anyone know how I can view my total song count in my library in iTunes 11?  All previous versions listed the total song count in my library at the bottom.  Thanks for the help!

It sounds like the staus bar is turned off. Select view from the menu bar and enable the staus bar.

  • I keep getting an invalid address when trying to purchase songs.  All the information is correct - it just send me in a circle

I keep getting an invalid address when trying to purchase songs on itune.  All the information entered is correct.  I have tried on my iPhone, iPad, iTouch and on itunes.

THE FIX: your credit card address AND spelling of your name must match iTunes.
Please don't google or read other blog entries on the Internet telling you to use a restaurant address or those that are telling you apple is doing address validation. They are all written by 17 year olds who pick up the first thing and re-post. Why do people try to "help" by authoritatively posting an answer? The mass of them are ruining my google searches. :-)
Apple is now validating whatever ASCII that you told your credit card company. It's not just address validation.
    Name AND address must match.
    Then it worked for me.

Sign in with the Apple ID that you used for the original purchase. See which Apple ID you used to download an item.
2 )     See if the content is available for redownload. Previously purchased items might not be available if they're no longer on the iTunes Store.

  • I just accidentally wiped out my entire music library.  How can I get apple to help me download the purchased songs again?  The songs went to my recycle bin and I immediately restored them but the files seem to have dissappered!

I just accidentally wiped out my entire music library.  I sent everything to recycling bin and then immediately hit restore all items as I knew what I had just done.  Now I can find where those files went.  Is there anyway Apple can just send me my purchased songs again?

  • Does the 25,000 song count against the 5GB limit?

I was wondering. You can upload up to 25,000 songs. That's great and all, but does it take up your 5GB limit on iCloud, thereby forcing you to purchase more storage space?
If you guys can point to an article from Apple addressing this specific issue, that'd be fantastic
    Thanks in advance!

Nope, the 25k song limit and the 5G limit for other iCloud things are entirely separate.  Music doesn't touch the 5G.

  • I purchased Lorde's Tennis Court a few weeks ago. Why doesn't it count towards the "complete my album" on her new Album Heroine? The single Royals I purchased does.

I feel I should receive credit for already purchasing this single a few weeks ago if I purchase Heroine. I shouldn't have to pay for it twice, and to add insult to that is is now Free to download this week.

    Hello, 1968ay.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are unable to play media that you downloaded from the iTunes Store.  This error usually means that the media is not located in the original location for iTunes to read this file.  The easiest way to solve this would be to delete the problematic media and download it again via the two articles below.
How to delete content you've downloaded from the iTunes Store

  • Purchasing songs internationally from the US

I listen to a lot of international music, much of which is totally unavailable from the US iTunes store. I can go to, and browse through, the iTunes stores in other countries, several of which have songs I want to purchase, but iTunes will not let me purchase any (saying my account is only good for the US iTunes store) nor will it let me create any new accounts for other iTunes stores (saying weird things like I have to have billing addresses in those countries, etc.).
So how can I purchase the music I like?

Pardon me for waking up this thread. I am in a similar situation as Thomas (Swede living in Denmark, wanting to buy music from The Swedish, UK and US stores).
First of all, I found the reasons for this not being possible in
iTunes for Windows Tips > How do I buy from another country's store?
I understand now why things are the way they are (though I must admit, this information could be a little bit more clear when you sign up). But that doesn't mean I'm happy and accept it.
I think Apple is providing a great service with potential to basically exterminate piracy. And we all know that in the future we will be able to buy music globally and electronically. The question is just how long time will it take before that is possible? Now, I can't persuade the record companies to change policies, but as a user of iTunes I might have a chance of influencing Apple (and I'm pretty sure Apple wants to go this way also). And Apple, being a BIG player, has quite some chance in succeding in persuading the record companies.
So please, please Apple: continue to lobby for free trading of music and try harder to make the record companies to understand that this is would be a major step to eradicate piracy.
    Cheers
    Kenneth

  • Purchased songs truncated in the middle of them? Fix?

    Can this be fixed?
Other than a new computer, an apple one.

    Recent purchases/store downloads?
Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the corrupt tracks from your iTunes library, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • I want to burn my old cd's and have them in my iTunes library. Is there some "I" software that I can buy that will treat the new songs like "purchased" songs (i.e.: available for synching on all my devices)?

I want to burn my old cd's and have them in my iTunes library. Is there some "I" software that I can buy that will treat the new songs like "purchased" songs (i.e.: available for synching on all my devices)?

    http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/
'With iTunes in the Cloud, the music you buy from the iTunes Store automatically appears on all your devices.1 And for music you haven’t purchased from iTunes, iTunes Match is the perfect solution. iTunes Match is built right into iTunes on your computer and the Music app on your iOS devices.2 It lets you store your entire collection in iCloud, even music you’ve imported from CDs or purchased somewhere other than iTunes. When it’s in iCloud, it’s available on all your devices. So you can enjoy all your music anywhere, anytime — on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, PC, or Apple TV.'
It costs $24.99 p.a.. Songs you've ripped from your CDs which are also in the Store will be recognized (hopefully) and be available: if they aren't in the Store you can uploads them. The limit is 25,000 songs (purchases do not count towards this limit). This is not part of the 5GB free storage.
Incidentally, just to clarify the terminology so you don't get into confusion, you don't mean 'burn' (make a CD from existing files) you mean 'rip' (copy files from a CD onto your computer).

  • In a playlist, when I select a song toward the bottom it always plays a songe one or two down the list - not the one I selected

In the "Purchased Songs" playlist on the iPhone, when I select a song toward the bottom of the list, a song one or two down the list is actually being played.  It's like something got the list index off.
    Any help?

I'm in the same boat...so far no one has helped here
