I would doubt it as Mavericks was only released a few days ago. Check under About This Mac and it will tell you what OSX it is running.

  • Does the refurbished Pro come with Yosemite?

I want to get a refurbished Macbook Pro. This is not going to change my decision, but I was just wondering whether the computer will come with the OS it came with (2012), or whether it will come with Yosemite (the newest OS).. Please answer ASAP!

See what info is provided on the Apple refurbished store. If it doesn't say it comes with Mavericks or Yosemite, then it will come with the default at the time it was released.

  • Have a student / teacher subscription. Trying to download and install applications on new mac pro with yosemite

Have a student / teacher subscription. Trying to download and install applications on new mac pro with yosemite. Old applications still work on older Mac Pro. Can't download any applications. Creative Cloud website and desktop app both fail. Very frustrating. Anyone having this problem?

Chas50 I would recommend removing the currently installed Adobe Creative software.  You can then install the new versions of the Adobe Creative software included with your membership.  You can find complete details regarding the uninstall and install process at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.

  • Pictures distorted on new Mac mini with Yosemite that were clear on older Mac mini

Pictures are distorted on new Mac mini with Yosemite that were clear on older Mac mini.  How do i adjust the resolution?

    Hi there lapineassembly,
I understand that you wish to adjust the resolution of your display on your new Mac mini. Here is an article for you that can explain this issue:
OS X Yosemite: Adjust your display’s resolution

If this does not resolve the issue with the image you are asking about, would you mind providing some more information about the nature of the issue? Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

  • Mac 2008 with yosemite reboots

why when exiting sleep mac 2008 with yosemite reboots?

I fully understand, BDA, and I would expect it of you, being the helpful man that you are.
I just think that the less extraneous clutter in a forum, the less likely there will be posts by other stray posters in the forums.
The thing with Yosemite is that the beast is loaded with bugs and idiosyncrasies that Apple has not been able to fix yet.  As we both know, Apple usually doesn't get a major new release even halfway right until the dot five update, and Yosemite is barely at 10.10.2, a very long way before 10.10.5 or 10.10.6.
Many pros at the Adobe Photoshop forums have been forced to downgrade to Mavericks as the only way to cope for now.

  • Do the Refurbished Products come with software

Do the refurbished products come with Leopard and iLife '08

I've checked the current offerings today and all have the mentioned software is in place. When you see the list of Refrbished MacBooks, click +learn more+ and they are listed in the far right column. [HERE|http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID? nplm=FB063LL/B] is an example. Scroll down the page focusing on the right column to see that Leopard and iLife '08 are included.

That could be the problem. If you actually mean DWCS6 and not DWCC 2014.1.1 when you say "latest" (check out Help > About Dreamweaver for your actual version) it requires the older Java SE 6 to be installed on the Mac. See if reinstalling it helps...
    Java for OS X 2014-001
If you're using DWCC 2014 and updated your OS after having DW installed, you may need to reinstall to work out the kinks. Using the Cleaner Tool from Adobe to reinstall will give you a completely fresh installation...

  • Do refurbished iPhones come with iOS4?

Does anyone know what firmware refurbished iPhones come with? Without being updated just factory settings right out of the refurb box. Thanks!

If you get them from Apple now, they will most likely come with 5.0 or 5.0.1. There may still be a few in the channel with older firmware installed, but I doubt it.

  • Doe's the mac come with windows 7?

Does the MAC come with windows 7?

No. You can run Windows on a Mac in several different ways, but all require that you purchase Windows separately. Apple only supplies the Windows drivers needed to integrate with the Apple hardware.
    Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software.  Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7.  Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows.  Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
VM Fusionand Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows.  The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.  It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc.  There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization.  The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard or Snow Leopard. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive.

  • Mac Book with Yosemite

Was just about to buy a new Mac book Pro.  Do I wait now for the new version with Yosemite?

Will a current MBP model fulfill your current and anticipated needs?  If so, purchase it, if not wait and you may find that the wait is warranted or perhaps not.
In regards to the OSX, Apple has yet to introduce one that cannot be installed in several past generations of MBPs.  I do not view that as a determinant in the decision of purchasing a MBP.

  • Will refurbished macbook come with free lion os?

I never get any refurbished item from apple and I would like to know about this, I am pretty sure that if I get a brand new macbook pro after lion os is released then the macbook i'm getting will come with the brand new lion os.
but what if I get an refurbished macbook (2011 model) pro from apple after july? will I be able to get the lion os upgrade for free?
    please advise.

No one here knows.  This is a user to user message board.  No one here works for Apple.  You will need to call the refurbish store.  The staff there will be happy to answer all of your questions.

I disagree with that. If you are behind a router there is no need for a computer firewall. All they seem to do is make it harder to network the computer with others. There is a reason it is turned off by default, IE it is not needed. But it is there for the paranoid among us.

  • Will a Refurbished iBook come with iLife '06?

I am looking into a refurb iBook. Has anyone recently purchased one and if so, does it come with iLife '06?
    Thom

    Hi John,
After reviewing the policies and doing some research,
the refurbished iBooks are not mentioned. Apple
considers their refurbished products as good as new
for the most part, but you will find your iBook does
not fall in the the qualifying family part numbers. I
suggest that you call Apple or go to your local Apple
Store and see what they will do. I am sorry if I
mislead anyone, there is nothing regarding
    refurbished computers in the policy.
    Here's an update:
I called Apple customer service last week to ask if my refurb iBook qualified for iLife up-to-date. The person I talked to spoke to his supervisor who said that refurbs didn't qualify because they were "used." I mentioned that some posters in this forum who ordered refurbs were getting iLife '06 either installed or on a separate DVD. So he put in an order for me, attaching it to my original iBook web order (to verify that it was purchased after iLife '06 was released). I just received it today, no charge.
So score 1 for the squeaky wheel!
