Do special charaters in address title pose issue with published pages?

I have published my site to michaelblatchford.com. All the pages work properly except for my Resumé page. When the link to the Resumé page is followed from any other page, I get the Server Error 404: File not Found. I went and changed my Resumé to Resume (without the accent mark) for a file path of michaelblatchford.com/Resume and part of the page shows up. I have republished and uploaded my site on multiple occasions but I can't get the Resumé page up. Is the accent mark messing things up?
Thoughts?

( brings back memories) I was the head mechanic there in 85-86 for Eddy B, was mechanic for team usa at 86' worlds too.. let me think, nelson vails, rebbeca twig, steve hegg, are some athletes that I knew and worked on there bikes, in your pict I see bikes have not changed much since then.. anyhow.... I'd try to rebuild your page without the accent and then hide the page that is messed up publish again see what you get... that's the easiest way to figure it out... next time your in so cal shoot me an email I was just talking to Cathy Coakley whold used to work on hegg and vails and she said the veledrome in carson is sweet, I haven't been in years, not chula vista either, I'd even bring my gear and shoot some shots for ya... ! renebruce.com ( I lost most all my killer cycling shots from 84-86 in my warehouse fire in 98'.... sorry to get off subject, but I did wrench and I raced road for yrs... lived in the dorms at the springs, they still there....?

Having an issue with a page in the internet

Hello,
I registered to the forum a few days ago but did not introduce myself. Please accept my apology.
I have a Blackberry style 9670 model, of which I am very happy with.
I was having an issue with a page in the internet, in which I was receiving errors on my device. My daughter has a Blackberry Curve and she was able to access the page without any errors. I can not figure out why I do.

I am not sure if this is the same issue but there was a bug that caused small exchange numbers to become negative which was resolved in one of the 11.1.1.3 patches, it is worth logging into My Oracle Support and having a look at the patches available.
9588147 – In exchange rates table, entering very small values become negative after you save the data forms. For example, 0.000071 becomes –7.1E-5 after you save the exchange rate.

I'm using Firefox 3.6.23 on my windows 2000 and lately i've been having issues with web pages loading and need help figuring out why.

Try this.
Type in the address bar about:config.
Accept the warning.
In the page that appears, in the Filter box, type network.http.max-connections. Change the value to 32 (which is probably set to 256 in your case).
Close that page. Restart the browser.

Issue with normal page link redirecting to SSO page / forbidden page

Hi,
I am having an issue with a number of pages within my portal.
I have a 'List of Objects' that has been working for some time, each link in the list linked to another page.
Just lately a number of pages that are linked to within this list are not loading correctly.
When one of the items is selected, the correct page is initially displayed, but then after a couple of seconds the page is redirected to the 'Single Sign-On' page, or alternatively the page is redirected to a 'Forbidden' page with this error:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login on this server.
(This page will also show up after the user tries to login when the page is redirected to the SSO page).
As well as this issue occuring at the front end, the same issue is happening when the pages are loaded from the back end, in the Navigator.
This issue is even happening when the page is opened up in 'edit' mode using the ORCLADMIN user.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Figured it out...

Issues with having pages display correctley. It does this in multiple browsers, Chrome, IE, and FF. Some pages display correctley.

I have been having trouble viewing pages in multiple browsers since last night. It has done this with me before. I am using an Acer Aspire and also Firefox version 23. I've tried looking online and following suggestions such as clearing the cache, retarting in safe mode, etc. Nothing seems to work. It's only on certain pages. For example- Facebook works and displays fine. It's when I go to websites like Amazon, Wix, Ebay, and others that I get the issue. The pages are displaying with a white background and just text/links and basic images. I've checked the page style and it is on Basic Page Style. Here is what I have:

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Mission Control/ Expose issue with stacked pages hard to view. Please help

Is it just me or is there a real issue with the way Mission Control/ Expose displays these stacked windows? For instance, I had about 6 finder windows open, showing 6 different folders on my Desktop. If I then use Mission Control to quickly access a particular folder, it displays all my finder windows together, stacked up on one another and this makes it almost impossible to view which particular folder i want. It doesnt have the folder names displayed so this is seriuosly time consuming now. Is this something im doing wrong, or is it a valid issue?

If you are just trying to see all the Finder windows which are available, just invoke App expose. I use a 4 finger swipe down. If you are in finder, just swipe. If you are in another application, hover your mouse over the Finder icon in the dock and swipe. All the windows are easy to see.
(You can, of course, do this with any application, not just the Finder.)

Having issues with loading pages with large web articles..

I'm having issues with pages loading all the way when I read articles off of wikipedia. Mainly from pages that have tons and tons of text, but it doesn't make sense. The browser indicates that the page is loaded all the way, but when I make it half way down the page, everything becomes completely white. Like LITERALLY everything becomes white. This prevents me from reading any further down the page, even though I would force the page to scroll down all the way, that doesn't help one bit.
Does anyone have a solution or a fix to this? I would like to continue reading my web articles, without being interrupted with these white pages/bugs.

Try clearing the cache for the web browser. While the browser is open, go up to Web/Preferences and choose "Clear cache".
Also try rebooting the TouchPad via Device Info/Reset Options/Restart.

Auto-generated birthdays [Address Book - iCal] issues with Mac OS X 10.4.4

Substantial changes were made to iCal, the Address Book and to Sync Services with the release of the Mac OS X 10.4.4 Update. Clearly, not all of the results were intended.
The automatically generated Birthdays calendar has presented at least two issues in my configuration:
Just before installing the Mac OS X 10.4.4 Update, the birthdays appeared in iCal as expected but, immediately afterward, none appeared at all. They were still embedded in my Address Book records, and the action of cutting and pasting just one of them in an Address Book record resulted in the immediate propogation of all of them again in iCal. Great. Obviously, there is now a system-level problem with the data interchange between the Address Book and iCal. This phenomena has only surfaced since the application of the Mac OS X 10.4.4 Update.
This evening, I noticed that birthdays were no longer displayed in iCal following a synchronization, though the calendar remained intact . Stranger yet, they had all been removed from the matching Address Book records which generate these entries: every one of them! I believe that a Sync Services issue caused their removal, and it is for that reason alone that they no longer appeared in iCal.
Resetting the contact records alone using .Mac as the source did no good. Not only are they not visible on the .Mac address book pages, birthdays data is also apparently not retrievable. Hmm - passed through, but not stored. Not good.
I was able to revert to a 3-day old, almost identical record set, and all of the 'restored' records with birthdays instantly had a matching iCal entry in the Birthdays calendar.
All I can say is: back up. And, back up often. [I had used the Back up Address Book… option under the File menu, so restoring them was a rapid and painless process.]
I wonder when we will see a maintenance update to Sync Services, the Address Book and iCal?

My wife's mini had a similar issue. She upgraded to 10.4.10 and her sound stopped working. She would also get the login screen freezes. Where her computer is located, turning off Airport is not an option, and the sound issue is very frustrating. I helped her restore her entire computer from a 10.4.9 backup she had made just a couple days before, and while the lockup problems are gone, the headphone jack still will not output sound. Just two pops when you plug the speakers in, and that's it. I've tried resetting the PMU with no luck. I hope Apple fixes whatever it is they screwed up, and soon. I won't be applying 10.4.10 to any of my other machines.

Absolute and relative addressing for stylesheets: issue with IE6 and pages not in the root

The following conditional comment gives me a problem when I arrange my site into folders (instead of all pages in one directory, or all in the root). The directories are built according to the site hierarchy.

What do you suggest I do to get the pages not in the root to read the dropdown_ie.css file when using IE6?
And I have a feeling that the way I import the styles may not be right, but I am not sure.

I solved this one by changing the relative addressing of my stylesheet location in absolute addressing. And I had to do this not only for the stylesheet, but for all addressing in the html related to this drop down menu:
href="http://mysafety.be/styles/dropdown_ie.css"
Changing the location of my files into subdirectories (and removing the spaces in the file names) also means that all my google indexing got screwed up; I submitted to google the whole list of addresses for removal from their cache. It will be another 4 weeks before everything is indexed correctly again, but I guess I better do this now before the site becomes fully operational.

Issue with publishing an application that has been updated (application with multiple versions)

We are using App-V 5.0 SP1.
I have a package that will need to get patched whenever new security updates are released. The first version of the application always works fine, but when I update the application and re-publish it, a normal user is unable to pull down the new version.
When this occurs I am able to get everything going by logging into the server with an admin account and performing a sync (Get-AppvPublishingServer | Sync-AppvPublishingServer; Get-AppvClientApplication"). What is it about applications that
have been updated that would cause this behavior?
The issue is similar to what the hotfix below addresses, but since we are on 5.0 SP1 I am unsure if this applies still.

Issue with running pages through jDev, wls starts but no target url is provided.

Hi all,
I recently downloaded an older version of jDev for a new assignment - Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0 - Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0CLOUD_GENERIC_121118.1600.6229.
I created a basic wls domain and I've tried running simple jspx pages, at which point a weblogic appears to have started without issue. However, my page never runs and no target domain is provided. Below is how my log appears and it just seems to hang. I'm my experience a window always popped up in my default browser with the domain and it is also shown in the log. Going to my expected default domain (http://127.0.0.1:7101/Home.jspx for example) results in a 404. I sure its something stupid, but I'm not sure how to address this issue. Any advice would be appreciated.

Please delete the default domain from the following path. Close Jdev before deleting and restart , it will create a new domain.

Issue with login page

Hi,
Can anyone help me with the following issue: When I try logging into the login page using the URL_*(http://hostname.domainname)*_ the page is re-directed to the same URL but with https:_ in front of the URL but the login page is not displayed/shown.
But when i remove the 's' from https:_ and press enter i get the login page.Once i Login with the credentials also it is again re-directed to the https:hostname.domainame_.
Again only if i remove the 's' from (https:hostname.domainame) and press Enter do i get the responsibility page.This is happening each and every time when i click on responsibility its re-directed to https: link and i need to remove the 's' from https and press Enter to get the responsibility displayed.
Can anyone help me out with this issue.

Do you have SSL implemented? If not, please review the application context file for any referenced to https and change it to http then run AutoConfig and bounce the services.
Also, check if any of the profile options is set to https and change it to http -- How to Search all of the Profile Options for a Specific Value [ID 282382.1]

Red Blue issue with published DeskI Report in InfoView

Hi everyone,
i'm expieriencing a strange behaviour with my published DeskI Reports.
I'm using logos in my report and they work just fine... in my full client. As soon as I publish them to InfoView and open them up in the browser, then somehow the color red and blue interchange. Red becomes blue and vice versa...
My System consists of:
BOE R 3.1 SP2
Win Server 2008
DeskI and WebI
Has anyone expirienced the same issues?

my IE version is: 7.0.5730.13
Tomcat version: 5.5.20
If I click on the logos in InfoView, nothing happens.
I tested 3 different ways to implement them:
1) via link; pictures shows up, but again with the red blue issue
2) as an object; pictures shows up; also w/ the red blue issue
3) inserted a cell, and pasted the picture in it, pictures shows up; also w/ the red blue issue
The strange thing is, that this issue only appears in the browser.

Having issues with one page of a website when viewed on the iPad?

We recently created a 6 page website through Adobe Muse. When we view the published website on our desktop, everything seems to be working fine. However, when we view the website on our iPad, one of the pages (the "about us" page) seems to be "left aligned" while all the other pages seem to be "centered", which is the way we want it. All of our page properties are the same and I have checked for any objects or materials outside the white canvas. We cannot seem to figure out the issue in regarding the website on the iPad. Any thoughts? Thanks much!
