Do the practiced Adobe Premiere Pros fear the last second PowerPoint glitch, or feel insulated from it?

It is my fanciful idea that cheap editing programs may be more likely to make the inevitable hangs that professionals encounter when trying to do a Power Point presenation or other small public meeting, is Adobe more certain to ensure the video, other, content performs, plays, or is there an increased doubt as to whether presentations will play, owing to the (unthinkably intricate and highly woven) complexity Adobe Premiere requires, innately?
This is a conversational question, but from camera-or-microphone-to-rock solid presentation dependability, like a public participation, what is the most rock solid, bulletproof, start to finish, imagine a VCR in factuality, how far have we (world) strayed from that rock solid, button press, certainty?  Thanks in advance,
Mike
Um, there is no Adobe Premiere Pro community? M.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 "The editing mode used by this project could not be loaded."

    Hello-
I am encountering an issue with my Adobe Premier Pro CS3. I am trying to open up a project that another person has created on a different editing system. When I try to open, it comes up with the error "The editing mode used by this project could not be loaded. The project will be opened in Desktop mode." The next window is a Windows Explorer screen, that wants me to choose a file to open. If I cancel that, it brings up a blank looking project with no timeline or anything?
    A quick comparison of systems:
    Mine:
    HP dc7700s desktop
    Windows XP OS
    Adobe Master Collection CS3
    Hers:
    IBM compatible laptop
    Microsoft Vista
    Adobe Premiere Pro CS3
    Adobe Photoshop CS3
I have googled the error message, but have not found anything to fix this. I have also verified from Help - About that we have the exact same versions of Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 installed.
I need to be able to view this project on either computer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
    Thank you!

    >project will be opened in Desktop mode
I have never used any non-standard files, but from reading here, desktop mode is used when the video files are not standard... in one way or another, but usually pixel dimensions
What is the codec and properties of the files in that project?
Are you sure they are 100% standard?

  • 'This project was saved in a newer version of Adobe Premiere Pro' but the project came from the exact same version??

    Hey there,
I have two computers running the exact same version of Premiere (CC 2014) and both are currently updated.
I saved the project onto the server using one computer, then when I try to open it on the other comp I get this message:
'This project was saved in a newer version of Adobe Premiere Pro and cannot be opened in this version.'
Both comps are logged into the same creative cloud account and both work fine individually...
Does anyone out there have a fix for this??
    Help would be much appreciated!!
    Thanks!
    Ben

Are you sure the updates are the exactly the same, look at the 'about' details under the help menu, are the build numbers the same:

  • Syncing audio to clips after making the cuts -Adobe premiere pro cs 5.5

    Hello Everyone,
I am using adobe premeire pro cs 5.5. I have adobe prodution premium suite. I have completed my cuts with a bunch of clips in each sequence. None of them had audio, so I made all the cuts without the audio. Now I have got all the same files with audio in it. Is there a way to re-apply all the cuts I made to the files with the audio so that I can get the audio in the timeline corresponding to the clip?  I tried opening the same project and tried linking the the new files with audio, it didn't work. Please let me know.
    Thanks,
    VJ

There's no automatic way to do this.  You'll have to Match Frame the clips into the Source Monitor, find the In/Out timecodes, then load the new clip with audio and go to those same timecodes to set In/Out points. and add just the audio to the sequence.

  • Is the most current Premiere Pro CS6 the same as the CC version?

I just used Application Manager to update my Premiere Pro CS6, which I originally installed through my CC account (which is still active). However, a tutorial I want to use makes a distinction between Premiere CS6 and Premiere CC. The CC version does not appear as an option in my App Manager.

Kevin which operating system are you using?  Do you meet or exceed the system requirements for Premire Pro CC listed at http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/tech-specs.html?

  • The Official Adobe Premiere Users "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" Appreciation Society thread

By popular demand, here's your chance to spout off on all things Buffy, Angel, and Joss Whedon.
    Let me start.
    Mmmmm. Alyson Hanigan.
    i drooling noises.
Those with anti-Buffy views please limit your criticisms to "I prefer not to watch that show."

More spoilers Darcy, or at least further discussion on them...
    Eleanor.
O.K., first up, Darla?!? She's dead!! Oh wait, that's right. Not an issue in this television show.
Anyway, we've just got to the Buffy/Angel crossover where Willow heads to L.A., so we only just got to see Buffy tell Robin "The mission is all that matters," with all the baggage that went along with that comment. Also nice to see more of Spike's background and how he got the trigger.
As for your earlier question regarding Giles and Robin teaming up to take out Spike, I don't see a problem with it. If anything I'm on their side. I think Buffy was wrong. She's basically said "You're all expendable for the cause, including Dawn, just not Spike."
The girl's got some serious issues to get through before she passes on into syndication.
The other thing that gets me, and I'm not sure just how metaphysical the show's ready to go but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it head into these waters, but I'm also quite surprised that no one's figured out the nature of the foe they're facing.
"The First" is supposed to be evil incarnate. It's the first evil from which all other evil comes from. Basically it's a force, or a concept given an anthropomorphic personification. Surely the way to fight evil is to do good. By promoting infighting, deception, fear and the like, surely they just become what they're fighting, increase the amount of evil and strengthen their enemy.
Or maybe I'm thinking too much. Not to mention that a series of watching the Scooby Gang "doing good to fight evil" would be boring as proverbial.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 4.0.1

An update to Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 will be available via Adobe Update Manager shortly. The file will also be available for download tomorrow (November 20) on Adobe.com, as will the readme (at http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/premierepro/releasenotes.html). In the meantime, here is the text of the readme.
We're really excited about this update, especially considering we released CS4 just one month ago. To force an update, choose help --> find updates from any Adobe application. The AME update that releases with this update is required as well.
Important note: if you are using the Elemental Technologies RapiHD plug-in, you must update to the latest version in order to use Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 4.0.1. You can update the plug-in by visiting the Elemental Technologies web page: http://www.rapihd.com/?q=node/129
    New in this release
    - OMF export
    - Final Cut Pro import
    - Edit in Audition (Windows only)
    - Surcode support
    - AAF import and export
    - High quality motion
    - Third-party support
    Notable fixes
    - Attempting to trim locked tracks results in a crash (#1888355)
    - Crash on Win and error on Mac when using Numpad-Asterisk keys to generate marker when
playing in Program Pane when Effect Controls pane is closed (#1890626)
    - Crash when the Metadata panel is brought into focus when a DVCPro HD clip is selected
    (#1884633)
    - When a filter/search is applied in the Metadata Panel and then a different asset is selected, the
    filter does not update (#1876954)
    - Custom schema causes Adobe Premiere Pro to crash performing many basic operations,
    starting with New Project (#1888938)
    - Render of transition in imported EDL-based sequence fails; on Mac, causes application to hang
indefinitely, user must be force-quit application (#1873434)
    - After ASND is saved, an effect is always ON if it turns OFF while playing (#1864978)
    - Crash when attempting to load a project that contains a composition if headless Adobe
Premiere Pro is serving Adobe After Effects (#1871578)
    - Exporting video as MPEG 4 will create a video file that imports at the incorrect length
    (#1851063)
    - Trimming both ends of a clip, then moving the clip will cause looped playback to be silent, or
only playback portions of the clip (#1868409)
    - When exporting a timeline containing cuepoints, deleting a cue point via AME Batch-> Export
Settings, the cue point is still present in the output file (#1866690)
    - Playing an audio-only file in the source monitor will cause the application to lock up (#1887330)
    - Exporting any MT session as 24bit WAV leads to garbled audio Mac only (#1881684)
    - Adobe Premiere Pro allocates too much memory and reads too much data from disk when
loading project files on the Mac (#1890579)
    - With camera connected, opening clip from Timeline into Source and selecting File  Debug
results in a serious error (#1889197)
    - Export to tape is active from DVCPRO HD sequences (#1863718)
    - Application intermittently crashes when exporting a movie (#1868405)
    - Render and Replace of offline clips takes over 20 minutes (#1885273)
    - Application crashes when cancelling Normalize Audio Track dialog (#1887615)
    - When an AVCHD clip is inserted into a DV timeline with Scale to Frame Size applied, rendered
previews of the clip show artifacts during Timeline playback (#1863988)
    - Using scale to frame size in a timeline lowers output quality and softens detail and sharpness;
typing in scale attributes manually or using Adobe After Effects produces much better results
    (#1527669)
    - Multiplexed MPEG files exported to HD size and then imported back in to Adobe Premiere Pro
show up as 601 color space instead of 709 color space and hence the colors of the imported
    files are off (#1852977)

  • Can I import I-life files into Adobe Premiere Pro CS4?

Okay, so not exactly an Apple question, but there are so many smart, helpful people on here, and the Adobe forum doesn' t seem very active.
I recently got Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 (the movie editing software).  I tried to import files from I-photo, but those folders wouldn't even open.  Tried to import files from the movie folder, which were in .mpg format, but got a message that it is an incompatible format.
Those were just simple movie files taken with a small digital camera.  Does anyone know how I could use this footage in Adobe Pro?  I have access to other Adobe software as well, perhaps there is a way to convert the files?  If I try to import something to Adobe from I-movie, should that work?  Or from I-DVD?  Also, is it possible, with Adobe or regular Mac software, to import regular DVD footage (that is not in form of a computer file, but just something that plays in your DVD player) or perhaps convert it into a computer file?  I have some old VHS footage that was copied onto a DVD and would like to edit it, or at least have it on my computer as a file.
Also, if I can't use those files, are there any places on the internet where one can download some simple footage to try out in Adobe?  I'm new to it, so I'm just trying to get some files together so I can try out how it works.
Lastly, if anyone knows of a good online tutorual for CS4.  It's an older version, and on the Adobe site they only have tutorials for the newer one.
    Thanks!

This is a forum. None of the users here -at least not to my knowledge - are Adobe professional
Ninety-nine point nine percent correct. We are blessed with a few Adobe employees here, unlike some fora, but those folk are probably at NAB right now. Also, they are in other departments, so would have to walk "down the hall," or make a call, just as we would.
When it gets to issues on licensing, installation, etc., we're pretty much at a loss. Most of us have never encountered such issues, and only know what we have read in others' threads, when they have bothered to report back. Even then, that is third-hand info.
Last time that I had an Adobe installation issue was AI 3, IIRC. My upgrade version did not have the old database of S/N's. Mine was 00-000-003, and things had changed drastically. One call to Adobe, and a total time of about 5 mins. (including hold time), and I was given a number to plug in, and then everything installed perfectly. That was in about 1989, so is not quite contemporary. Still, that is the last and only first-person account that I can offer. Most here have zero personal experiences, as they came to the party later, and have just not had any such issues.
We'd love to help, but just do not have the experience.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
