Do the SB X-FI cards work for anyone with Vista

I have one on the way and would like to know if I should return it and wait for a card that will work. My audigy 2 zs just wont make it. It seems I am hearing a lot of unhappy folks who have bought these cards. please advise.

This is not something I have to have, as I am happy with the current state of my X-FI functionality, but these modded drivers have me very curious.

Does the Desktop Software v6 actually work for anyone?

I have been trying to get my desktop software to work, or more specifically to synchronize, for over two weeks now. I have tried all of the suggestions given me and still no luck. Does this program actually work for anyone?

Searching Photos is not finding text in the description. Does it work for anyone else?

I am attempting to live with the forced upgrade to Photos from iPhoto.
Generally, the features are an improvement. But there are some things that just are not working.
I had an iPhoto library with excess of 32000 photos, in 3200 events.
Now events are non existent. I cannot create new ones... just choose from preexisting ones.
But I digress. My photos did have searchable text associated with them. Either in the title (from the event name), in the description, or from keywords.
As things are now, only keywords seem to be searchable. (via the Search block in the upper right)
Is anyone else having this problem? Why?
I don't want to have to make a "Smart Album" every time I need to find something.

I can enter text and it finds words in Titles, Filenames and Descriptions for me.
How long since you updated? Perhaps it's not finished indexing?

Hi - maybe a bad assumption, but according to StarTech, their eSATA ExpressCard works with 10.4 and 10.4 - so I assumed it would work with 10.6. The model number is ECESATA1.
My original MacBook Pro recognizes the card because I see the icon in the top bar - however none of the two eSATA drives I've tried to connect get recognize or can be accessed via Finder or Disk Utility.
I verified that the drive, cable, and card works because I verified on a Windows XP machine.
StarTech's support is not open this weekend and nothing definitive via Googling - so I thought I'd ask here.

There are Mac drivers buried in the folders of the updated drivers online - I thought they were only Windows drivers.

I am about to buy a StarTech duplicating dock, but finding out which card will work with it through my expresscard slot is a nightmare.
Are you using the card that has two ports on it, and so has one drive per port, or are you using Port Multiplication to have two drives through one port ?
I want to get this one, which I think is the same one you are using:

Startech support tell me to download the new driver from silicon website, but I still read threads which say there is a problem with it.
Its the PMultiplication feature that is essential for what I need.
Your experience and also driver that you are using would be very helpful before i blow £300 on kit that isnt going to work properly !

This isn't an issue. Notice the screen prior to the one that shows usage has an iCloud section and a Manage Storage button. For this button to activate ios needs to download a few kb from icloud. Switching back to this screen forces ios to download those few kb.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. The Help Link from the Application Pages Does not Work for Peoplesoft Campus Solutions 9.0

I have a problem, I have been trying to set up the Help Link from the Application Pages for Peoplesoft Campus Solutions 9.0 according to the instructions given in the Document: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17566_01/epm91pbr0/eng/psbooks/EnablingtheHelpLinkfromApplicationPages.pdf , (referenced in the Doc ID 1289101.1, E-PB: How to Set Up the Context Sensitive Help with Hosted PeopleBooks using Universal Linking).
I follow the instructions of that document carefully:
I go to: PeopleTools -> Web Profile -> Web Profile Configuration
    2. Then I choose the Web Profile: "Development".
    3. Then Change the value for the Help URL field by entering the following URL format: http://www.oracle.com/pls/topic/lookup?id=%CONTEXT_ID%&ctx=hrcs90r5 , the ctx parameter selected is the one that correspond to the Campus Solutions (hrcs90r5) according to the Product Line Code Table (ULinkID) especified in the mentioned document.
    4. Stop the Web Domain and Clear cache.
    5. Start the Web Domain again.
After setting up the Web Profile Configuration I test the help links, thas is why I click in the Help link in any Peoplesoft CS 9.0 Application Page (modify a person), but the next error message appears: "We're sorry, the topic you requested was not found.".
I tried many combinations with the ctx parameters URL but it does not work yet.
I did the same test, but this time using the Help URL field with a HRMS ctx parameter by entering the following URL format: http://www.oracle.com/pls/topic/lookup?id=%CONTEXT_ID%&ctx=hcm92pbr5 , and It works fine !!!
According to the previous test you realize that It works with HRMS ctx parameter but not with Campus Solutions 9.0 ctx parameter, Does anybody know what else can I do ? Am I doing anything wrong or missing? or maybe the Oracle's ctx parameter for Campus Solutions URL It is broken simply.

2799444 - The page you are testing with appears to be a Workforce Administration page. Is that correct?
The CS PeopleBooks would only work for CS pages, e.g.: try navigating to Main Menu > Campus Community > Personal Information > Add/Update a Person
Also, you can use multiple ctx parameters:
E.g.: http://www.oracle.com/pls/topic/lookup?id=%CONTEXT_ID%&ctx=hrcs90r5&ctx=hcm92pbr5&ctx=pt852pbh2
This way the help would work for the HR related pages like Workforce Administration, Campus Solutions pages like Campus Community and also PeopleTools pages like Web Profile Configuration. Hope this clarifies your question. Thanks!

It results in I have to specify a fixed number of digits for gw0-gw4 in the dial plan or it won't works. This could be very difficult for international calls.
Is there any way to specify Interdigit Short Timer with <:@gw0>?
BTW, it's strange that I have to include (****) in the dial plan to enter IVR. Without it I can't even hear any sound coming from gw1 (SIPphone). Maybe the SPA needs a factory reset. The test dial plan might look like,
S:4,(****|*xxx.|[2-9]|xxxxx|*0<:@gw1>|1747xxxxxxx<:@gw1>|1408xxxxxxx<:@gw0>|xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.!)
The last barring sequence "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx!" is to make sure the Interdigit Short Timer works after the last digit dialed otherwise the number will be transmitted immediately which is not preferred.

IMHO , if there's a need for you to include *** on the dial plan to enter the IVR menu there might be a need to reset the unit.
I believe that you can set the interdigit timer by including that on the dial plan ie: xxxxS0 just like on a hotline, i just never had a chance to try including that syntax when invoking gw0 on the dial plan , but i guess you may give it a try.

Can you check your configuration again? Maybe something went pear-shaped somewhere. It's located in Tools | Options | Privacy and then click the Settings button (see screenshot).

The copy function doesn't work for years

Hi experts,
i have a copy function for copying a combination of version, vtype and fiscyear in another combination e.g.
version = 0, vtype = 10 and fiscyear = 2010 should be copied to version = 101, vtype = 60 and fiscyear = 2011
As far as the year doesn't change the function works for example with the same combination as before just from
fiscyear = 2010 to fiscyear = 2010 but when i try to copy from 2010 to 2011 no data will be generated.
The interesting thing is that i have all the TO-Variables for version, vtype and fiscyear in the filter and all of these char.
are selected as to changed char. in the planning function. I defined all the From-variables version-from, vtype-from and
fiscyear-from in the from part of function and the TO-variables as version-to, vtype-to and fiscyear-to in the TO-Part of the function.
Has anyone an idea why it's not working for different years?

i tried to change the fiscper too within the copy planning function and i had to work with exit variables to derive the fiscper from the fiscyear dependent on the year inputted by user. But in order to copy every periode i had to use the offset function which has not worked. I don't know why. I want to go for your proposal so i had some questions:
- if i want to create a char. relationship with fiscyear and fiscper3 as source fields and fiscper as target field i get an error message at checking the char. relationship that tells me that it is an inconsistency and it is not possible to FISCYEAR FISCPER3
-> FISCPER. So what to do?
I created the class and write my ABAP in the derive methode but the relationship doesn't seem to work.
Do you know all the steps i have to do to derive fiscper from the other two for my copy function?
I would be very appreciate it.
