Thank you, but after an hour with apple support on the phone we came to the conclusion that the documents are lost... So the lesson is, don't trust icloud as a back up solution! A month worth of work down the drain...

If you're running Windows 8.1, this seems to be a common theme, or some variation there of at least. Myself, I can't even back-up on my iPhone 4S which has iOS 7.1.2 and I'm running iTunes 11.3.0.54 and have resorted to purchased the iTunes Match service to ensure that music on my primary desktop PC (which is paired to my iPhone) will be available on both the iPhone and my Windows 8.1 laptop. Regarding backing up of the iPhone, I'm thinking about going to a third party solution until either Apple and/or Microsoft can figure out why Windows 8.1 is having so many problems with the current version of iTunes (as of this writing 11.3.0.54).

I didn't quite understand what you mean by creating/changing data using transaction codes, because within SAP MDM 3.0 you are in a portal environnment and don't work with transaction codes.

There's no 'best practice' as such, but there are a few that I think should be default:
Enabling CDR, On-Hook Pickup, CFwdAll Override... but really the settings are specific to the requirements of the deployment.

UWL Configuration Document for EP 7.0

Dear all,
We are on EP 7 and trying to configure the UWL. I have a few documentation on the configuration of UWL (not sure whether is works for EP 7). When i try to Registering System Item Types with the UWL, i can see the following option which is different from EP 6.
AdHocSystem - AdHocWorkflowConnector
ActionInbox - ActionInboxConnector
We are using webdynpro and JCO connection. Therefore does it still require the system landscape? Anyone have the UWL configuration document for EP 7?

Select Internet Transaction Server in the Property Category drop list from Ur system object
Give details as below

This information can be found under transaction code SMICM. Choose menu path GoTo  Services and you can find the hostname and port for the HTTP record.

And also u need to activate these services
Goto Ur backend system goto SICF execute -- default_host sap bc gui sap its webgui

Creating "Topic Alias" marker in FM document for CS Help

Hi,
I am eventiually moving toward creating content sensitive help and am looking at preparing the source documents for the leap (documents in my Framemaker version7 and book file) for the leap. On-line, it says that I should create markers called "Topic Alias" and marker the topics/ headings with this marker. I have tried to do this but, Once I convert those same documents (the book) into RoboHelp, my "Topic Alias" markers don't appear. What I find confusing is that my other markers (e.g. TOC markers) are visible in RoboHelp.
Would someone know why my Topic Alias markers are not appearing? Am I preparing my document the correct way?

You should use the FrameMaker integration category in RoboHelp forum.
Scenario 1 - Map files provided by Developers - If you import the map files in the project before you add the FrameMaker book in RoboHelp, context sensitive help should work fine. RH already has a map file called BSSCDefault.h - don't worry about it. The alias file was practically empty. When I checked "All Map IDs" in Project Manager, none of the IDs visible in the opening pane were assigned to topics.
If you import the map files after you have added the book - you need to do one Force Update for RoboHelp to connect the two sets of information. All Map IDs are properly assigned to topics and the context-sensitive help worked properly
Steps
1. Add FM files to the project. Select the Topic Alias Markers in the Context Sensitive Help field during import.
2. Go to Project Settings Pod, open Context Sensitive Help folder and right click on Map Files. You shall get Import Map File option in the context menu. In the import dialog box you will get option to import .hh, .hm and .h files. Please ensure that Locked option at the bottom is checked. RoboHelp will not touch your file if this option is on.
3. If required, force update and then generate your SSL output.
4. Use the Help for context sensitive help in your product.
Scenario 2 - Map files generated by Help Author - We defined our special marker in the field "define context sensitive help marker". And there are markers (CSH_1 to n) in the topics but there are no map ids with the markertext from the framemaker files and thus there is no mapping. By the way, we are working with referenced framemaker files. You can generate MapID file through RoboHelp, export the mapid file and re-import it in locked mode.
Steps
1. Defined your special marker in the framemaker files:

Bench mark for 6533

Hello,
I wanted to know what set was used to arrive at the bench mark for 6533 pattern generation mode 16 bit (1 GB) which tell 1.432 MHz. I wanted to know whether double buffer or single buffer mode was used, PC configuration.
I also wanted to know to what data rate is achievable for transfer data from peripheral to hard disk of the PC.
If you can provide me with the example VC++ used for conducting the bench mark it will be great. My email id is [email protected]
By peripheral data is 16 bit data and clock . I should transfer this data to hard disk.I donot have any other control signal (no handshake). To what data rate can i do this using 6533.

ICR - Mark Assigned Documents for Payment.

Hi All,
I am looking at enhancing the ICR functionality by adding an option of marking assigned documents for payment, and was wondering whether anyone has done something similar. What I would like to do is to let the user have an option (additional button) where the assigned (without differences) documents i.e. reconciled across both partner companies, are marked with a flag that can later be used in the F110 selections. This could be the ZUONR field as an example, and should happen in the leading company documents only. I am aware that there are possibilities to automate correction postings from within FBICR3 but am not sure if this would cater for mass document changes to the underlying data?
Any advice (.e. is there a standard BADI) will be appreciated.

Hello Kris,
There is no standard functionality or BADI example implementation.
Implementing a BADI would make sense if you would want to trigger this manually. Otherwise it would probably be better to run a program to process mass data...

I have pages version 2.1 for the i pad. When I try to open pages documents on my mac it says You need a newer version of Pages to open this document. I have updated to the very latest Pages for mac version 4.3. Cant figure it out.

I have Pages version 2.1 for the i-pad. I have Pages on my Macbook, version 4.3. When I try to ipen a doc on my Mac it says I need a newer version to open this doc. There is no newer version. I need these docs in a bad way and cant get to them on the Mac. Any ideas?

IOS Pages 2.0 and 2.1 implement an entirely incompatible document format with Pages ’09 v4.3. It cannot open them, and you are then prompted to update to Pages v5+ which is compatible with your IOS Pages.
Unfortunately, updating to Pages v5+ is a bad thing, as it is a brand new application that has omitted over 90+ features from Pages ’09 v4.3. When you update to Pages v5+, it will move your old still functional version of the earlier Pages into /Applications/iWork. Aside from all the missing functionality, Pages v5+ will likely damage older documents that depend on specific Pages ’09 v4.3 features (including AppleScript and custom Templates).
Oh, by the way, the older and new Pages documents have the same filename extension (.pages) making document organization difficult without applying different tag colors to old and new documents.
We are recommending that users remain on their earlier Pages version. You may have to export documents from IOS Pages as Word .docx to avoid the OS X Pages update notice.

Save for web marks document as modified

When you save a document for web it considers the document to have been modified and will prompt you to save when closing. This is kind of annoying behavior because the document isn't actually modified; it adds an extra step of dismissing a save dialog and also can put you in doubt as to whether you have actually made unsaved changes.
My understanding of this 'feature' is that illustrator considers you to have changed the 'export settings' for the document hence the requirement for saving, This would be fine except that it doesn't actually save your export settings, so if you don't want to use the defaults it will continuously prompt you to save the document every single time you export it for web even if you are plugging the same numbers into the export dialog.
I'd really like to see this fixed, its a small thing but it costs me a lot of time when exporting lots of documents.

I agree the confusion is annoying to get a save box even if you have not changed any export settings. When printing a document this works fine as I only get an asterisk after the filename, when I change a print setting. Since many people miss the asterisk par twill post a screenshot.
I am getting different results that you on Mac CS6 for save to web. It appears the ave for web settings are actually within the document such as compression format, number of colors, matter color. Gets quite confusing because when you create a new document it seems to use the last settings used.
You may want to look into actions if you have a folder of documents needing save for web, as that works well once set up.

It is important that you determine if the .pages document originated from Pages ’08, Pages ’09, Pages v1.7.2 (IOS 6), or was exported as Pages ’09 from Pages v5+ on OS X Mavericks. If it meets one of these criteria, then you can edit the .pages document on your Lion machine with Pages ’09 from the iWork ’09 DVD. Pages documents can not be opened with TextEdit, but can be viewed with Preview.
On the otherhand, if the .pages document was created with Pages for iCloud beta, Pages v2.2.1 (IOS 7), or Pages v5+ on Mavericks, then your only recourse is to edit the document with Pages for iCloud beta. Since Fall 2013, Apple changed the .pages document format into something even more malevolently proprietary. Apple word processing products since this timeframe, are subsets of the Pages ’09 features/functionality, and will filter out content they do not support.
A Pages ’09 document is usually a compressed (zip) folder archive that looks like a regular file to the Finder. The newer Pages family of products only write out a package that to the Finder, also appears to be a regular file, but in reality it is a folder. The newer Pages documents must be zipped before placed on non-Apple filesystems.

I don't think any conversions are needed, just get yourself an external USB 3.5" floppy drive and drag the documents onto your iMac's HD. You should be able to locate one on Ebay or maybe even Amazon. To open them you will need something that reads .doc files like Pages, MS Word for Mac etc..
