Dear mates, our question is very simple.We have two Storage Processors on a FAS2240-4 Chassis that are replicating volumes (Through SnapMirror technology) to another FAS2240 Chassis on a remote/different DataCenter.We do NOT replicate the whole aggregates that contain these volumes and we will NOT need to revert an entire aggregate to a previous state.In this scenario, is it needed/advisable to have:- The aggregate snapshots scheduling active ?> snap sched -AAggregate aggr0: 0 1 4@9,14,19Aggregate aggr1: 0 1 4@9,14,19- The 5% aggregate snapshot reserve?netapp2-spa> aggr options aggr0...... percent_snapshot_space=5%, May we disable scheduling and set percent_snapshot_space=0%?Thank you so much in advance

Why do we need to recompile our project when its property files are change?

As property files are external files from which we get our data...Why do we need to recompile our proj. every time we make some changes to the files. Is there any solution to it.

the property files in my bin\res folder does not fget affected by the actual property file..If u change the prop file of bin\res then it will update everythingAnd, as already mentioned, if that is the only one you change, then the next time you recompile your project those changes will be lost. Go into the project properties in Eclipse and reactivate the automatic compilation. Then you need only change the "source" version of the properties file, and Eclipse will update the one in the compiled area automatically, which is the right way to do it. If you want to change both automatically, or change only the one in the compiled area, then don't complain later that your changes either dissappear or become "corrupted".

Well there is no hard and fast rule that you have to copy nad create a new order type. Its just to meet our own requirements that we copy the standard and make the changes if required to meet our business needs.
And by this way we keep unchanged the standard order type for further use.
If you are sure that the standard order type satisfies your need you can directly use that only.
I hope this clarifies the issue.

If the files come from very old versions, like pre-CS (1.0, 1.5 and 2.0) you have to open them in older versions of InDesign first. Try to open them in CS6 (this is the oldest version which comes with the CC subscription), otherwise go back to CS4 which could open every previous version and save it with the version you use.

If you already have two different Microsoft Online services accounts, then this is no easy task. If you sign up for two Microsoft Online services, using two different Microsoft Online services ID's, you basically need to choose which one to throw away, and
then do a migration from one to another.
If you have a lot of data in both of them, you could cross your fingers, and make a Service Request to Microsoft, hoping that they could do some magic for you, or at least tell you which migration track that's the easiest one.
The important part is that you first sign in to the service you want to keep, and then register for a new one using Sign in, in stead of Sign up. This way they are automatically liked to the same Windows Azure Active Directory tenant.

Performance issue with snapmirror and snapshots on target aggregate

Hi all, does anyone of you has experience with snapmirror an larger amount of data. At the moment we do a snapmirror of about 100tb data distributed over about 10 volumes to a sata aggreagate on a second filer with 85 4tb sata disks (5x17disk raidgroup). Source is FAS 8040, target is FAS 8020 both with cdot 8.3p1. We already moved all workload from the target aggregate, so it hosts only snapmirror targets.On the source side we do 1 snapshot per day and keep 14 snapshots. Snapmirror is done once per day. From counting snapshots I would say daily change rate is 2-2,5tb for all volumes. Snapmirror is working fine and finished in less than 2-3h, but container block reclamation and deswizzling is totally killing the aggregate on the target side. We do see continous load of 30MB read and disk util for all disks except parity disks is 90-100%. At first we planned 4h snapshot but that is just not possible. At the moment we disabled deswizzle and get to a point where if we are lucky the target aggregate load drops in the night just before next snapmirror kicks in. We are quite new to Netapp but it sounds ridiciolous, that you need so much io for just a plain replication and some snaps.Do you have any experience with snapshots and snapmirror using sata disks? I think snapshots and snapmirror on Netapp are very resource demanding. It is true that the creation of snapshots on Netapp is super efficient and instant but as soon as snapshot has to be deleted container block reclamation kicks in and takes large amount of disk resource. Same for snapmirror, it is really cool and stable, but deswizzling for logical to physical block mapping with large data affects snapmirror target performance heavily. Best wishes, Stefan

Hi RPHELANIN, schedule is 24h. Yes from time to time dezwizzle does not finish, but 24h is our max, we planned with 4h. But I think this is just impossible with nl-sas disks unless you do not change data on source :-). We crossed checked deswizzle and container block reclamation with disabling each of them. Most of the load is produced by container block reclamation.The positive impact of flashcache is on deswizzle lower than on container block reclamation. I think most of NetApps internal workload is sized for 10k and 15k drives. If we compare io per gb of 10k 900gb drive with 7k 4tb drive we have a ratio of nearly 10:1. Mechanics like reclaim blocks or map virtual to physical blocks seem to produce to much load for nl-sas drives. On the othe hand deduplication and compression works fine and produces acceptable disk load. Nevertheless we disabled it cause it produces to much changed blocks for snapmirror. Best wishes, Stefan

Performance Point Cascading filter challange - Can it be done? If not, we need to change our BI front end!!

My challenge at the moment is that I need to create a dynamic filter. To explain this is a cascading filter but not your normal cascading filter,
ie, Year/Month/day etc.
Here we have a single Dimension, Organisation. It contains every level of a business,
Site,
Dept,
Company name,
Division
Holding
Strategic Area
From these as a default we have 4 built hierarchies with a different combination of the above.
Activity (Strategic Area, Dept)
Organisation (company Name, site, Dept)
Sites (Division, Site)
Holdings(Holding, Strategic Area, site, Dept)
At any given time we have have additional Hierarchies created within the Dimension, further adding to the hierarchy list.
We now have a challenge where we require our users to be able to in the first filter select the Hierarchy they want to use, ie, Holdings, Site, Organisation
or Activity. This should then cascade to the second filter and contain the relevant hierarchy and levels as a multi select filter. Of course this also needs to be connected to number of graphs, charts and scorecards on the page, dynamically.
I have gone around the houses to get this to work but not having any luck. Tried the variety of filters available, MDX, member selection, tabular,
SharePoint, and attempted to mix and match to get this to work. I cannot find a way but I don't believe this is not possible.
If it is not possible we must look around for another front end solution for our BI Dashboards which I would prefer to avoid. Any response or suggestion
would be much appreciated.

This is possible within PerformancePoint 2010. Filters can be cascading. There is one restriction that might affect you, and that is the cascade only works on the preceding level. For example, let's say you have 4 filters, Country, County, City, postcode,
that have been set up in PerformancePoint as cascading filters. Now when you choose a country, say United Kingdom, only Counties within the UK will be displayed. That's exactly as you could expect. However, now if you select Norfolk county, all the cities
with "Norfolk" county will be available. That's including the cities within "Norfolk" Massachusetts. This is because PerformancePoint cascading filters only work between two levels.

You should contact the company that makes the one for your computer and ask them to make an app for your iPhone. Apple only makes a couple of apps. The other million are made by people like you and I or by companies and are posted to the app store.

Drive 2.1 can not connect to our cs3 versioncue server what do I need to use our projects in CS5?

Mac XServe is our CS3 server. Trying to upgrade to CS5 and found out Version Cue is no longer. Read and found the Drive 2.0. It can't seem to connect to my current server. We still have access with one of our CS3 machines. Is there a program I need to get to continue on with our versioning and the ability to use our projects we have? Or do I need to go into every project and export or something to be able to start using CS5? Thank you in advance for any help!!!

Hitting the Log Out button in the MobileMe panel worked. I can now connect to both the SnowLeopard and Lion servers just like I used to.
My condition appears to have been slightly different from yours, gmia - the MobileMe on my MBP had the correct info, but hose are not the credentials i use to remote to the two servers. I'm guessing that for some reason ScreenSharing began using my MobileMe credentials instead of what I had saved in the keychains.
Wonder if it had anything to do with the shutdown of the MM servers. That would be odd as using ones apple ID to log into a Mac remotely was new with Lion, and I had the same problem with our SnowLeopard server - which I remote into much more frequently.
Probably didn't hurt though to reboot the entire network...
