Do you have a favorites button like internet explorer?

I want to be able to click one button to show all my favorites

Firefox calls them bookmarks. There are several methods of viewing organising and completing bookmarks tasks.

The bookmarks library shows the whole lot, it also in fact shows downloads and History. The bookmarks library has folders and you may add more folders or subfolders. The bookmarks toolbar folder displays on the bookmarks toolbar. Excess content overflows and shows in the right edge. If folders are added they generate drop down lists of bookmarks, or bookmarks folders.
The bookmarks may also be displayed as a sidebar. Or as a dropdown from the bookmarks icon - that's the icon next to the bookmarks star.
Also note you may use the locationbar aka addressbar to find bookmarks
* [[Awesome Bar - Find your bookmarks, history and tabs when you type in the address bar]]
There are keyboard shortcuts to open the library and sidebar Ctrl+B for instance.

  • I have seen that mozilla like internet explorer doesnt support text shadow in css

    i came across this wonderful css script by which i can enable text shadow attribute to a text
    http://www.w3.org/Style/Examples/007/text-shadow<- i found it here.
    It does work in chrome and safari but IE8 and Mozilla 3.6 is having problems or doesn't support.

    You're using an old version of Firefox that doesn't support it, and 3,0,19 is no longer supported by Mozilla.

  • Do you hane password saver like Internet Explorer? Roboform is slowing down my computer.

    Why doesn't Firefox have it's own password saver and fill in automatically like Internet Explorer? It asks if you want to save passwords. Roboform slows down my computer. It is always running.

    Firefox includes a password manager, for details on using it see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Remembering+passwords
    That article also include links to troubleshooting articles if the password manager is not remembering passwords.

  • How do I return functionality of my bookmarks menu before Firefox update 23.0.1? I don't LIKE internet explorer, now my firefox is acting like IE; gee thanks.

    How can I restore the functionality of the Bookmarks shortcut. I DO NOT LIKE internet explorer, it is cumbersome and slow. How can I modify the bookmarks shortcut to act like a menu again? I do not like the bookmarks and history pop-out... Firefox was above the bar, now I have 2 copies of internet explorer on my computer, one with an icon that looks like an E and one that looks like my old firefox browser.... This was a result of the update 23.0.1 this morning, it was perfect when I went to bed last night.... Maybe I should use Chrome?

    does it work as expected when you launch firefox in safe mode once (to rule out the interfering of any addons)?

  • How do I automatically connect to my ISP when I launch Firefox like Internet Explorer does (Firefox is set as my default browser)?

    When Microsoft Internet Explorer was my browser the dial-up connection screen to my internet service provider would come up automatically when I launched the browser.
    Now that I have made Mozilla Firefox my default browser this no longer happens. Launching Firefox results in an error message which says the website cannot be found. I then have to launch Internet Explorer, connect to my ISP, close Internet Explorer, then launch Firefox.
    This is a bit tedious. Can Firefox perform the same connect to ISP action automatically just like Internet Explorer does? If so, how do I activate this?
    Thanks

  • How do I input favorites/bookmarks from Internet Explorer?

    I just installed Firefox and had hoped it would somehow automatically copy the favorites/bookmarks from Internet
    Explorer (IE9). That didn't happen so I'm now trying to determine
    how one can find and import that list of favorites/bookmarks into Firefox.

    Is this about importing bookmarks on a mobile device (the question details show Firefox OS) or is this about importing on a desktop computer?
    If there are problems with importing the IE Favorites in Firefox then export the favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.
    If you do not have the menu bar in IE then right-click the toolbar at the top to enable the Menu Bar.
    *Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html):<br>File > Import and Export
    *Import the HTML file in Firefox:<br>Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import Bookmarks from HTML

  • Creating an Internet Shortcut to the desktop just like Internet Explorer.

    Hi!
    I am running FF24 and would like to create a shortcut of a website to the desktop just like Internet Explorer. I have read a solution that has me resizing FF and feel that it is clumsy and unproductive.
    Does anyone know of an Add-On to this great feature in IE?
    Not only for Windows XP but for 7 & 8, as well.
    Surprised that the smarties at Mozilla did not put any thought into this.
    TIA :)

    Hi jscher2000,
    Thanks for your timely response!
    I installed and configured it, double checked settings, but it does not create anything on the desktop in XP. Very strange.
    Any suggestions welcome.
    Cheers,
    Compumind :)

  • Favorites exported from Internet Explorer are not available in Bookmarks drop down list as they should.

    Favorites exported from Internet Explorer are not available in Bookmarks drop down list as they should. Where can I find them?

    You can usually find the imported IE Favorites in a folder ("From Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks).
    If you can't find them in the "From Internet Explorer" folder then try this:
    Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export<br />
    Import the HTML file in Firefox 3: Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Import_bookmarks ("Import from another browser" and "Import from file")

  • Disabling of FORWARD and BACK Button of Internet Explorer.......

    Hello everybody,
    Can anyone tell me how to disable the FORWARD and BACK Button of Internet Explorer through JavaScript.......If possible give me the code snippet.....

    Hi
    I I tell you the answer, I suppose it means you'll be able to spend less time on JavaScript and more time on Java, so here goes:
    Open your page in a new window using window.open(...). This JavaScript takes lots of parameters, such as the page you want to display in the window, as well as settings for hiding the toolbar (which includes the forward/back buttons).
    Do a search on the net for window.open for full syntax. I think you can modify the properties of the current window if you want to stay in the same window, but can't remember the syntax.
    Note you can also disable the right mouse button by defining the following function:
    <SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
    <!--
    var message="Right-click disabled!";
    function click(e) {
    if (document.all) {
    if (event.button==2||event.button==3) {
    alert(message);
    return false;
    if (document.layers) {
    if (e.which == 3) {
    alert(message);
    return false;
    if (document.layers) {
    document.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEDOWN);
    document.onmousedown=click;
    // -->
    </SCRIPT>
    I don't know how to stop the user from pressing 'Backspace' unless you use Java to monitor the navigation.
    Hope this helps

    Hello everybody,
    Can anyone tell me how to disable the FORWARD and BACK Button of Internet Explorer through JavaScript.......If possible give me the code snippet.....

    You can not do this in JavaScript.
    However, if you set the right response headers in the response IE will disable them:
    response.setHeader("Pragma","no-cache");
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control","no-store");
    response.setHeader("Expires","0");
    would do the trick.
