Hi boys ! (and girls ? really ?)
I've installed (with success) the MAX preview version of
Flash Catalyst (I feel like a lucky boy).
But it's quite impossible to use it because I can't resize
any elements as rectangle for example or components. It's too very
difficult to move them on the artboard and often I can't. If I
refresh the artboard, often all my components go to the right top
corner. And if I resize an element, he take a size of 1.0 by 1.0
... I tried differents ways as explicated in the examples' pdf of
Adobe but they didn't fixed anything !
So I would like to know if someone ever had the sames bugs
and succed to fix them...

After Effects: "You have this plugin twice" issue SOLVED

Do you get problems in After Effects telling you that you have more than one time a plug-in, installed on your system? What After Effects does, is to scanning the Plug-ins and presets every time it opens, if you by mistake installed one plug-in two times, you will get an error telling you that you may have an issue working with this plug-in and, is better that you close After Effects and uninstall this plug-in. Well my friend gave me few plug-ins that he had, but it seems like I had some already installed. Every time I opened my After Effects for each plugin I had two times installed, it was stopping the scanning and informing me about the situation. It was really annoying to click too many times on “OK”. So I came up with an answer.
) First go to directory where your After effects is installed. Usually it is: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS4.
) Go to “Support Files” folder and then to “Plug-ins”
) If you are using Vista or 7, use the search box on the right top corner of you window, if you are on XP, use the search button and click “find files and folders” (I don’t actually remember if it is like this)
) Then search “*.*” without the quotes (This will scan your folder and will show you all the files inside the Plugins folder)
) Look carefully to see the plugins icon (easy to recognize) and the name of the plugin, if you see a plugin name two times, that is the plugin that cause you the problem.
) Right click on one of the two and delete it.
) You can also follow the other way. When after effects pop up this problem with the plugin issue, it will tell you the actual name of the plugin, write down the name on a paper if you can’t remember, close after effects, navigate to the Plugin folder, and search specific for the plugin with this name. You will notice that it will appear twice. Delete one of these plugins.
) BE CAREFULL, DO NOT EMPTY THE RECYCLE BIN YET.
) First open After Effects, and see if the problem is solved. Use the Plugin on an SOLID or ADJUSTMENT layer, and when you are sure that everything is all right, you can empty the recycle bin.
I know that maybe this is not a big deal and maybe everybody can came up with this idea to solve the problem, but you never know if a person is really need a help on this.

When you turn on your cmss2 not cmss AND you have eax ON do you get sound from your center speaker?
cmss2 + eax = center speaker off..................is it supposed to be off?

Center channel works fine for me in all modes.
I turned on WMP 0 with a few mp3's. CMSS, CMSS + EAX Effect, CMSS2, CMSS2 + Effect. I went through several effects w/ CMSS & 2.
I did notice a couple things that could be affecting you though. I have the CMSS "Fader" for lack of a better term.. it moves the stereo focus from front speakers to back speakers.. set to 0%, which is balanced between front and back. Also, in the EAX Effect pane there this the effect amount. When I played w/ these two sliders and different effects, I noticed the center speaker did get very faint at times. Sometimes all that could be heard was reverb or echo.
Maybe it's the unique combination of CMSS setting and effect amount, plus the type of center speaker you have just not getting enough power?

TS2363 How do you safely disconnect an iPod when you have this problem?

The 'safely remove hardware' on lower right of screen says " Windows can't stop your ' Apple iPod USB Device' beacause a program is still using it. Close any programs that might be using the device, and then try again later." iTunes is closed and I cannot reopen it.

By now, you've probably turned off the computer. That would allow you to safely disconnect the ipod. If not - do it.
The usual cause is precisely as it says; a programme is still using, or working with, the iPod, and often it is your anti-virus software that is running a check on the iPod storage. It could also be any programme that you were using to modify a file that is on the iPod. For example, if you modify a photo (thta's on your iPod) in a photo application, and leave the application open, that may cause the issue.
But I notice one thing you said.

You should be using the eject button in iTunes, not the Windows one and you should eject before closing iTunes.
See the eject icon next to the word iPod.
Alternatively, if you have the sidebar showing, the iPod and the eject button will appear in the left sidebar.

IPCC 4.5 had a bug with script/directory do 7.x have this bug?

I had a bug in IPCC 4.5.2 that I am askimg me if it is in 7.x.
I will try to explain the bug but it's been a while.
Basicly, the bug happend when I put a script.aef in a directory instead of at the root directory where all scripts are. I remember something bad was allways happend in the application that used the script that was in the directory.( I don'T really remember what but that was a known bug)
The fix was to put all the scripts at the root, at the same place.
I am asking me if there is still that with ipcc 7.x because I will merge two offices and I would like to do a directory.

Reading your post it looks like you are placing scripts on the file system and not uploading them through the Script Repository. It is recommended to upload scripts through the AppAdmin Script Repository page instead of putting them directly on the file system. If you do it this way, they are placed on the file system, replicated to any standby servers and a pointer is placed in the database to the file. In addition, when moving to the UCOS Linux platform in 8.0, this will be the only possible way of placing scripts on the server.
Now, to more directly answer your question, I have not seen issues in UCCX 7.0 placing scripts in folders other than the root. If you can provide me with the specific bug number (I tried searching internally but was unable to find anything with that description), I can make sure it is resolved and test the same scenario in the lab on UCCX 7.0 if you would like.

Mavericks Finder stops seeing files--you have this problem?

This only started after I moved to Mavericks a couple of weeks ago.
When using Finder on external drives, I will look at a volume or folder and notice that many or all of the files and/or subfolders in it have just diappeared. Sometimes some are still visible--other times, all of them are "gone". This happens suddenly and without notice. I can look at folder one second and the next second look again and find that a lot of stuff is "gone."
The first time this happened I panicked. I thought my data was gone. But (so far at least) it's always still be there, only Finder cannot see them.
This has been happening almost daily and I don't notice any particular "cause." It happens on different drives, including one that is almost brand new. Where it strikes is random--.at any one time, it might happen only in one folder and not another. So some folders will be fine and one or several others will be affected. Once or twice the problem resolved itself and Finder went back to "seeing" everything. Most of the time I have to restart the system, and that doesn't always fix it. Just ejecting and reconnecting the affected volume usually does not work.
I find this problem very nerve-wracking, and it makes it very difficult for me to manage files. Even when everything is probably working perfectly, I have no way of knowing this--it's hard to use Finder when you can't "trust" it.
Have you also had this problem? Are there any solutions?
(This seems to different from the problem of Finder just taking longer than it could to show files and folders. It doesn't matter how long you wait, they just don't show up.)

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Re-launch Finder by logging out/in and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.

I am having lots of stability issues at the moment - I am now in the process of eliminating the cause and wondered if anyone out there has a similar if not the same set up as me and has had problems.

Novation Auto Map3 running a zero and slmk261
Have any of you got a similar set up or notice particular issue with any of them when running Logic Pro.
I have found that Stylus RMX will crash a project almost all the time as it seems to have a memory leak at least in my set up. Remove stylus and beauty is restored.
Any thoughts comments would be really helpful - I am finishing an album and really need to have a stable platform to do a good job driving me nuts at the moment.

i ran Predator for a while, but it was woefully unstable, causing crash after crash.
got onto customer support and they explained that there was a problem with Rob Papen running specifically on Logic.
It used to crash as soon as i attempted to change a preset.
Incidentally they said it would be fixed, but never heard from them on this issue. i know use FAW Circle (which is really nice), Sylenth and UHE Zebra (which is ridiculously well priced).
all very good, and very stable.
Rob Papens Albino works well though, and have never had issues with it.

See if you have THIS in your ipod touch?

Im on my second ipod touch and i feel it has some problems but i wanna verify first before i go to exchange it for another one.
1) It has a one lit/dead pixel which appears blue on black background, very tiny thou.
2) On the upper side of wifi antena i feel it is somewhat transparent and what im seeing is something inside it, but i think it might not be transparent, it might be a slight damage to the plastic, so can you people check if your ipod touch antena is transparent from top or is it totally black.
You think one dead pixel is good compared to others that people are getting with many dead pixels or you think if i exchange i willl get a better ipod. I dono if ipod has this as a common problem.
Also how many times can i exchange my ipod, im already on my second ipod, what if iexchange it and get a 3rd one which is worst, can i still be able to exchange it? Please help me out with these questions

The "damage" you are seeing on the top part of the cover is actually a sensor, all the iPod touches have these. It detects the level of light so that the auto brightness feature works.

Can someone with Photoshop CS5 please confirm they have this bug.

Open a jpeg file so there is just a background layer in the Photoshop document. Then in the Actions Palette load the Adobe action set "Image Effects" and run the action last action in the set "Fluorescent Chalk" on my Windows 32 bit machine if fails in step "Hide current layer" it generates a Photoshop pop-up message "Hide" is not currently available "Continue" or "Stop". If I hit continue I loose the layer that the actions was trying to protect by hiding it. I loose the layer because it did not hide and was merged in the last step "Merge Visible". In previous versions of Photoshop the action worked because you could hide the background layer when it was the only layer in a document in Photoshop CS5 on my machine this is not possible.

Neon Edges absolutely does NOT work on a flat document in Photoshop CS3.
The terminology I'm using:
"flat" = just a background - no layers.
"work" = completes without error and creates a result that looks even vaguely like neon edges.

I bought a brand new iPad 3 64 G WIFI last July and after 30 days it started to go wrong
The screen was flashing on and off
If I am on Internet I can only see part of the screen having black blocks there and there
Same if I am on Internet
When I am on an apps it is all good
Any one with similar experience?

Try a reset:
first, double click the Home button to expose the app tray. Tap and hold on the app icons until they begin to wiggle, then tap the - sign on ech to close them.

P6N Diamond+Quad core overclocking - Help if you have this board.

Am having some issues trying to get even the simplest overclock on this board plus some wierd stuff it is doing with ram settings. Can't get linked setting to work.
I've read all of the 680i tutorials. Nvidia, XS, HardOCP..............I've read Toms Hardware pre-release review. Basically anything I could find..............
Chip is running cool and rock stable at stock settings with either bios.

ok lads - here we go...
it's been a very interesting and revealing morning for me - spent the last 5 hours tweaking the bios, then testing, then tweaking, then testing. these are the results:
note 1: unless otherwise stated, all settings are 'optimised defaults' with 'CE1' disabled (go into 'advanced BIOS features/cpu feature' and press F4 if you can't find it) and 'spread spectrum' disabled.
note 2: unless otherwise stated, 'system clock mode' is set to manual and the memory is set to 800 and timings are on auto.
note 3: default voltages are used unless stated
note 4: each prime95 test is carried out for 5 minutes only
note 5: i'm using a thermaltake kandalf vd4000 case with built-in liquid cooling system. my water-cooled cpu temp in the bios is 19oC (can't seem to get the degree sign using the tip at the top of this page)
note 6: cpu is q6600. memory is 2x1gb xms2 dominator pc2-8500. vga is gainward 8800gtx. psu is hiper 5th gen type-r 770w. bios version is 1.2.
note 7: core temp 0.95 was used for establishing cpu temperature. (apparently, this gives default readings that are 15oC higher than the actual relevant cpu temperature).
test 1 (stock cpu setting):
fsb set to 1066
=2.4ghz
error-free prime95 for 5 minutes: YES
max load temp: 46
test 2:
fsb set to 1166
=2.62ghz
error-free prime95 for 5 minutes: YES
max load temp: 47
test 3:
fsb set to 1206
=2.71ghz
error-free for 5 minutes: NO (4 cores failed within 30 seconds)
max load temp: 47
decided to try pumping some more volts into the cpu to see if i could get it stable in prime95
test 4:
fsb set to 1206
=2.71ghz
cpu voltage increased by 0.0125
error-free for 5 minutes: NO (4 cores failed within 30 seconds)
max load temp: 47
test 5:
as above, but cpu voltage increased by 0.0250
error-free for 5 minutes: NO (4 cores failed within 30 seconds)

this took me to the recommended limit for voltage for the q6600, which is 1.375v.
it seems i can safely say that changing the cpu voltage makes absolutely no difference at all.
still keeping the fsb at 1206, the next thing i tried was increasing the NB voltage to 1.275v and keeping the cpu voltage at +0.1000
these settings still couldn't get prime95 to run error-free for more than a few seconds.
keeping the fsb at 1206, cpu voltage at +0.1000 and the NB voltage at 1.275, the next thing for me to try was increasing the 'fsb vtt voltage' by 2%
SUCCESS!!! SUCCESS!! SUCCESS!!
using the above settings, prime95 ran error-free for 5 minutes.
my next problem was trying to work out which of the above voltages settings was the kicker.
keeping the fsb at 1206, i returned the cpu voltage back to default and kept the nb voltage at 1.275 and the 'fsb vtt voltage' at 2%.
SUCCESS!! SUCCESS!! SUCCESS!!
prime95 ran error-free for 5 minutes.
next test was keeping the fsb at 1206, the cpu voltage at default. i also returned the nb voltage to default but left the 'fsb vtt voltage' at 2%.
SUCCESS!! SUCCESS!! SUCCESS!!
prime95 error-free for 5 minutes again!
it seems like the vtt voltage is an important player in getting the system to appear stable.
the next test, i set fsb to 1254 giving 2.82ghz.
keeping all voltages on default except the 'fsb vtt voltage' which i kept at 2%.
prime95 produced errors again, pretty much within the first few seconds...
the next test, i kept fsb at 1254, with default voltages, but the 'fsb vtt voltage' was increased to 4%
SUCCESS!! SUCCESS!! SUCCESS!!
prime95 ran error-free for 5 minutes.
all of a sudden, it seems that regardless of the other settings, the only voltage that matters is the 'fsb vtt voltage'
next test, fsb was set to 1278=2.87ghz.
vtt voltage was 4%
prime95 ran error-free for 5 minutes: YES
cpu temp during load: 49o
next test, fsb was set to 1302=2.92ghz
vtt voltage was 4%
prime95 ran error-free for 5 minutes: YES
cpu temp: 49o
next test, fsb was set to 1326=2.98ghz
vtt voltage was 4%
prime95 ran error-free for 5 minutes: YES
cpu temp: 49o
next test, fsb was set to 1350=3.03ghz
vtt voltage was 4%
CPU FAILED TO POST AND REQUIRED BIOS RESET
next test, fsb was kept at 1350=3.03ghz
vtt voltage increased to 6%
booted fine, but computer froze during prime95
next test, fsb was kept at 1350
vtt voltage was increased to 8%
again, pc froze during prime95
next test, fsb was kept at 1350
vtt voltage was increased to 12%
computer failed to post, requiring reset.
12% was as far as i was comfortable going to, as i'm not sure of the consequences of having this set too high.
it seemed i had reached the limit as far as pushing the fsb goes.
i returned the vtt voltage back to 4% and lowered the fsb to 1334 (i had a hunch that anything over 1333 would give me problems). again, this failed to post.
i set the vtt voltage to 6% - again, it failed to post.
i set the vtt voltage to 8% and again, it failed to post.
i lowered the fsb JUST ONE NOTCH to 1333 and set the vtt voltage to 4%.
this gives an exact cpu speed of 3.000ghz
i'm not sure if this is a coincidence or not, but this setting posted, booted and ran prime95 for 5 minutes without any errors.
it then ran prime95 for over an hour with no errors.
curiously, i set the fsb back up a notch to 1334 and it refused to post, requiring a bios reset.
as i said, it seems 1333 is the absolute limit that i can set this board to in my system configuration. now i don't know about you, but the fact that 1333 works perfectly stable, and 1334 doesn't even post tells me that there is something not quite right with this board.
is it too much of a coincidence that the cpu/mobo hits a wall at EXACTLY 1333/333/3.0ghz?
the next thing i did was set my memory to 1066 and manually set the timings to 5,5,5,15.
coupled with my new rock solid 3.0ghz q6600, this is about as far as it is physically possible for me to push this setup and i'm more than happy with the results.
now i can't wait for the G0 stepping to see what that can do.
maybe a future bios will help with this - who knows...
