Do you have to make an appointment to have your iphone replaced?
For those who have gotten there iphone replaced at the apple store...
I'm in sort of a rush to replace my broken iphone. So I was wondering is it mandatory to schedule an appointment with the genius bar or could i just walk in and tell them my problem and have it replaced. Reason being is I plan on taking a bus all the way to the another city tomorrow just to get it fixed. But it would be pointless if they tell me I had to schedule one before they take a look at it once I get there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If there is an Apple store nearby, it is best to make an appointment. Having to take a bus to another city doesn't sound like there is an Apple store nearby.
Or you can call AppleCare at (800) 694-7466 and handle everything over the phone. If it is determined that your iPhone needs to be exchanged under warranty, AppleCare will ship the exchange to your door. You must provide a credit card number in case your existing iPhone is not returned. You use the same box that is used to ship the exchange to return your existing iPhone. The return shipping label is located below the shipping label to you along with a phone number for the carrier to call when the box is ready to be picked up. A small paperclip is included to remove the SIM card from your existing iPhone, and tape to reseal the box.

Yes, it really is necessary. Even if you just walk into the Apple Store, they'll ask you to set up an appointment, and there's a strong possibility that there won't be one available for hours - most Apple Stores are very busy - though of course you may get lucky. If you can't get in until a weekend, then the chances of finding an open slot the same day are really small.

If the genius bar in your location is like the one's where I live, you won't be able to see a genius without an appointment. The genius bars, where I live, are full several days in advance. You can make an appointment online, & don't be late!

I get that if you have a technical issue you need to make appointment why can't Apple have an easily accessible service for cracked screen if people are coveredI believe his biggest grip here is not the cost of the replacement screen, but the need to make a Genius Bar appointment and not being able to be taken care of in a walk-in basis.
Unfortunately for the OP, not everyone in the Genius Bar is trained for screen replacement, and the technicians that are can be waiting on customers that have other issues. The ability to dedicate a single person for screen purposes does not make good business sense, for what would they be doing if there were no screens to repair. If you say to other technical diagnosis/repair, then if they were busy and someone came in, then they would have to wait, and you would be right back in the same place you are now, needing to make an appointment. -

Yes, you need to make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. However, Apple will not repair your iPod. They will exchange it for a refurbished one.

Plese helpYou can just show up for a genius bar appointment, but it's best to make an appointment in advance. If the Apple stores in Italy are anything like the one's in the US, that means they are slammed...you may have to wait several hours if you don't have an appointment.

Actually, you are never required to use the fingerprint sensor. You can always unlock your iPhone and make purchases just as if your iPhone did not have such a sensor.

If you create an album directly on the phone, then if you delete the photo from its original album then it will also be deleted from all albums that you've copied it into; if you just remove it from the newly created album then it will just be deleted from that album, it will still be in its original album and any other albums that you've copied it into.

How do you export photos and movies from iPhoto to your iPhone? I synced the devices and noticed that some photos and movies on my laptop iPhoto were not transferred to my iPhone?
I am not sure, which answer you found - so just in case:
If you sync your iPhone with the iPhoto library, the photos will only stay on the iPhone until the next sync and they are not in the Camera Roll. If you transfer using the Photo Stream, they will only be vidsible in the stream, until they are replaced in iCloud by newer content.
So, if you want to transfer the photos permanently, save them to the Camera Roll.
