Do you have to request a SSL server certificate using the iPlanet Java console?

I have an SSL certificate that was signed by a CA. The original certificate
request was made external to the iPlanet Directory server. I believe it was
made using OpenSSL. Is there a way that I can take this signed certificate
along with the private key (base64 encoded) and install it for use with
iPlanet Directory server?
Or, do I have to make the certificate request directly through the iPlanet
Java Console application?

Weblogic server 9.2 and SSL server certificate for the wrong site

I turned on SSL service for a weblogic 9.2 server and later on changed the hostname of the machine that weblogic was running on. So the hostname that my SSL server certificate was issued to has now became an invalid hostname. But my weblogic server continues to run SSL service without any exception. I can still access my web applications thru the SSL port (except of course I get a warning for the server certificate every time that it is for the "wrong site"). My question is this: should weblogic 9.2 verify the hostname in the server certificate and stop SSL service if the certificate is for the wrong site? Or is verifying the certificate strictly the job of the browser? Just want to make sure there is nothing wrong with my SSL configuration. Thanks.

So you are saying that something is wrong with my weblogic 9.2 ssl configuration? And that given a server certificate issued to a different hostname, my weblogic server should NOT be servicing ssl request and/or it should throw some sort of exception during startup? Thanks for clarifying.

You could use something like Splashtop Remote Desktop on your Mac and iPad. This streams your Mac's desktop to your iPad so you can have full access to everything on your Mac anywhere in the world, as long as your Mac is turned on and connected to a network and your iPad has a data connection. It can stream full audio and video from your Mac. It is not exactly home sharing but it does what you want fairly well, with the added bonus of being able to use your Mac from anywhere. Search for Splashtop on the App store for more information. It normally sells for around $10 but is frequently on sale for as low as 99c, so have a look and see if it's for you while you wait for it to go on sale. I can confirm this works as I use it daily to work on my Mac from my iPad while at work.

Well this morning I woke up to see that my site hosted on Windows Azure was producing 50X errors and in general being incredibly slow (up to 60 seconds response time).
Now after looking through the DetailedErrors folder I see that the error received is:

I tried creating a new test website and host it and guess what? I receive the exact same error here as well.

In the previous part you have completed step 10, now you are almost there.
Step 11:
This is another very important step.
Leave the settings as is or tick more options if you know what you do.

In the DNS Name field enter the host name(s) separated by spaces (or commas), e.g.
myserver.name.private myserver.dyndns.org
You can enter your local IP if you wish.
Step 14:
Certificate Assistant now procedes to create your certificate. Within a few seconds you should see the new certificate in your Keychain.
Switch to Server App (if at this stage Server App has crashed, don't worry , re-open Server App and proceed.
Repeat step 2 described in Part 1 and select the new certificate from the drop-down menu of available certificates.
You may want to use this certificate for all services (iChat, iCal, Mail, Web) or create different ones.
If you use the same certificate for all services the name of the certificate is diplayed next to "SSL Certificate", if you don't you will see "Custom" instead.
Addendum:
1. Do not forget to open port 443 in your router to enable https connections.
2. Enable SSL in your iCal account settings if you wish.

No, you dont required SSL for MOPZ ,
SSL is different and MOPZ is different
SSL - is for trusted certificate
MOPZ- is used to approve support packages to download

Can you find any errors in Apache/Database log files?
Have you tried to bounce Apache (and the other application services if possible) and see if this helps? Also, you may compile all JSP files manually before you bring Apache up again.
Also, you may run AutoConfig and make sure it completes sucessfully.

iPhoto is Apple's included program to manage your photo's and pictures.
It receives updates over time with Software updates and new machine or iLife purchases.
When iPhoto gets updated or a newer version is used, it may alter iPhoto support files, but newer iPhoto versions usually always compatible with older files which it then updates.
If you used a newer iPhoto on your iPhoto support files, then they got altered to the newer format, older iPhoto versions can't read the older format.
Somewhere along the line you somehow got a older version of iPhoto on your computer, you need to fine the newer version of iPhoto (not this photo manager, sounds like another program)
Or somewhere along the line you used a newer iPhoto version (like on another Mac) and it altered the iPhoto support files on your older version of iPhoto.
So the key here is to find the newest version of iPhoto and use that to access your iPhoto support files.
If you didn't access your iPhoto support files from another Mac, then you should have the newer iPhoto version on your computer.
Once you find it, and get it in the Dock, you should remove the older iPhoto version from your computer to prevent this from happening again.
Lastly, if the newer version of iPhoto is somehow gone off your computer, you should be able to get a copy off the latest OS X install disk or iLife using a free program called Pacifist.

I don't know if this will work, but I'd try logging in to an admin account, going to your main library (not user library), opening it, opening Application Support, selecting iPhoto, hold down the command key and press i, click on the lock in the lower left, entering the password and making sure you have Read & Write privileges for System and Admin.

What version of iPhoto do you have? If you're on 10.5 then you're not running the latest iPhoto

If so, as your post isn't clear, it may be a bogus message caused by a corrupt database.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Please quit and use the latest version of iphoto." I wouldn't have a clue as to how to change to a new version of iphoto even if I wanted to.

If you don't have a backup you can resort to give this a try:
Starting over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Open the library package like this.
2. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
3. Drag the subfolders of the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the open iPhoto Library package into the open iPhoto window a few at a time.
This will create a new library with the same Events (but not necessarily the same Event names) as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
Note: your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.
