Do you know of a version of Final Cut that will run on Mac OSX 10.6.8?

And where can I download it please?

The older version is in demand, so you will have to shop around. A current search on eBay for a factory sealed Final Cut Studio 3 software packages shows prices from $400 to $1100.
If you don't already own a copy of Final Cut Studio, make sure you are buying a full version, not an upgrade version

  • Which version of Final Cut Pro will work with Mac Book 10.75?

I can not put Final Cut Pro 9 on my Mac Book 10.75 (Lion).
Which version of Final Cut Pro will run on Mac Book 10.75 (Lion).
    Thanks

    Ok, first, your questions's answers:
FCS1 had a full version & an upgrade from any version of FCP. You only need the serial # handy when installing FCS upgrade.
Now FCS2 has TWO upgrade versions: one was for FCS1 ($499), the other was from any version of FCP ($699).
NOTE: Academic and Not-For-Resale (NFR) versions are not eligible for upgrade.

Here's something else to consider: with the march away from the PPC as a whole & your upgrade cost to FCS3 is $299, I would be very careful how much you spend for the older copies.
If FCS1 or 2 is too hard to come by or cost what it did originally (or more), you may want to consider picking up a (used or new) Intel Mac with ATI or Nvidia graphics. even the newest mini might surpise you & get you by until you can afford something else.
    Good luck!

  • Firefox version that will run on Mac OSX 10.39

Is ther a version of Firefox that will run on my G4 with MacOSX 10.39? Has there ever been a version that would run on this OS? What number would it have been.

OK, for anyone else dealing with this type of issue, the fix is simple:  Install the Creative Cloud desktop app if you haven't.  Click on Apps, filter apps by "previous version" and boom, legacy apps.  Easy.

  • What's the oldest version of Flash Professional that will run on a Mavericks?

Hi. I have a Mac running OS 10.9.4, Mavericks.
I'm wondering if anyone knows which old versions of Adobe Flash Professional will run on Mavericks.
I owned Flash years ago — around 1999. I stopped usng it a few years later because that version was for PowerPC Macs only and I bought an Intel Mac.
I don't need the scripting features. I'm looking simply to make .swf drawings and maybe some basic animations. But there aren't any real alternatives for Mac.
I recently had to install Windows on my Mac to run a Windows program. So I also downloaded a trial of a Windows program called SwiSH miniMax4 that can create .swf content. It's only $69 and it has most of the features I need.
Except for one feature:  a drawing tool that recognizes pressure sensitivity from a graphics tablet. Flash, even in 1999, had a drawing tool (it might have been called a "brush") that let you draw freehand and it recognized pressure sensitivity from a graphics tablet. It made it possible to create drawings that didn't look at all like they were done in a vector tool.
Anyway, I'm thinking of maybe looking for an old version of Flash Professional on ebay. But I don't want to spend a lot of money and I have no idea which versions are compatible with Mavericks.
I'm thinking that the oldest version that will work under Mavericks would be just fine for me, since the version I owned in 1999 had all the features I'm looking for today.
    Thanks!
    Sky

    Hi Mirskyman,
It is highly unlikely that a person on this forum is using the version of Flash Professional that you have with you.  While it is possible that the version you have could probably run on Mavericks, it surely hasn't been tested for the OS. Consider yourself lucky if you find a person here with a similar issue that has solved the problem.
Meanwhile, why don't you give the trial version of Dreamweaver CC a shot? Animation software | Download free Flash Professional CC trial
    Thanks,

  • Any one know ... whats the cheapest laptop that will run AE cc in the uk

any one know ... whats the cheapest laptop that will run AE cc in the uk

unfortunately system requirements, (in general), are usually the MINIMUM required to run the program. the more complex your intended use of the software is, the more you need to consider beefing up the 'system requiremets'.
    let's face it:
After Effects CC (2014) system requirements and language versions
    Windows
Intel Core2 Duo or AMD Phenom II processor with 64-bit support
is a joke to start with....

  • Can I have two versions of Final Cut Pro installed on my Mac

It is posible to have Final Cut Pro 7 & FCP X installed on my Mac Pro.. currently I'm using FCP 7,

    Yes.
Final Cut Pro 7 and the other FCS apps will be moved to a subfolder in your Applications directory.

  • I installed Final Cut Express in new I-Mac OSX Lion 10.7.2 and it won´t start

I just installed Final Cut Express 4 on a new IMac with OS X 10.7.1 and can´t get it sto launch.

It's an accomplishment that you were even able to install it on Lion (normally it won't even install on Lion).
But as you have already found out, it won't start, and even if it does it is not likely to run properly.  Apple discontinued FCE and do not support it on Lion.  You should get Final Cut Pro X instead.

The  wording is confusing. I just tried one of the DLs and it is working. Whether it will actually install now, I have no idea. If the activation servers have been disabled (because of a technical issue), probably not. Whether this is only temporary, I have no idea. I would think Adobe would just withdraw the entire page if they wanted. From the time this first appeared a few weeks ago until now I know it was working and could be installed using the provided serial #s. There was nothing about needing to actually have purchased it originally.
    Ginger:
I downloaded CS2 from the Adobe site BEFORE this recent notice was posted and it is the only version that I have and use.
The new notice is VERY confusing, because if you were a prior purchaser of it originally, why would you need their newly supplied serial number (which is what I use since I was NOT a prior purchaser. But again, when I downloaded and installed CS2 there was no such notice).
I suggest that you see if it downloads, installs and works with that serial number, as free is always better than not!   (especially since it is known that iMac G5's are prone to hardware failure from bad capacitors! I had many of them...)

I don't know how strict the OS requirements are. I do know that my old G5 iMac, even upgraded to Leopard, was able to run CS2. In fact, using Rosetta, CS2 still runs on my Snow Leopard.
As you can see from the image, CS2 is running in my Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) environment in Parallels concurrently with Lion.

  • Final Cut Pro for PowerPc G3 Mac

is there Final Cut Pro for PowerPc G3 Mac, Im pretty sure I need version 2.0, so please comment a download like, or comment if you know anything, thanks

This is the Final Cut Pro X forum. The software you want is not supported on any forum. Obsolete Intel technology is on the Final Cut Studio forum.
Bottom line: modern camera formats are not available for PowerPC technology. You need to upgrade your hardware.

It appears to depend upon the version you will be using:

Based on what I can tell, you may have to go to the second hand market in order to get a MBP that will run a compatible OSX.
    Ciao.

  • Will Final Cut Express HD run on my MacBook?

    Hi all!
I bought myself a MacBook Intel C2D a few months ago. I do enjoy it very very much.
I am thinking about going from iMovie to Final Cut Express HD, but I am not sure if it will run on my MacBook Intel C2D.
Anyone who can enlighten me in this subject?
    Sincerely,
    Andreas
    MacBook Intel C2D   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Yes, Final Cut Express will run on your MacBook. When you purchase, be sure to get FCE version 3.5 (not an earlier version).
What are the specs of your MacBook - especially how much RAM memory and what size HD you have in it.
Here are the FCE technical specs. Even though the minimum requirement is 512MB RAM, Final Cut Express will run much better if you have at least 1GB RAM in your MacBook (and 1GB RAM is the minimum if you plan to do HDV video).
    Hope that helps!

  • Latest JRE version that will run on Solaris 2.5.1?

Could anyone tell me the latest possible version of the JRE that will run on Solaris 2.5.1? I know that 1.3 will run on Solaris 2.6, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer regarding Solaris 2.5.1. Thanks!

  • What is oldest version of PS that will run on ML 10.8.2?

I am running 10.8.2 on my iMac and I need to know what is the oldest PS Elements that will run on it?

I am out on a limb with this suggestion, but try setting your Mac's clock back a few years, 2007 for instance. Be sure to un-check "automatically set time and date" in System Preferences. Then, try again.
Some application installers use a licensing scheme that prevents installation after a certain date. This may be one of them.
If it installs without complaint you can then readjust your system clock.
