Do you know this widget?

I used to have the following dashboard widget. It is just a simple widget to keep track of what you have spent. I cannot find it anywhere now for some reason. Does anyone know what the name is?
Thanks,

You are absolutely right, it is good business practice to check out the offerings from a company before you show or give it to your customers.
I guess I just assumed that there would be a cut-out on the front cover of the Aperture books, since the soft cover books I ordered from iPhoto did have the front cover cut-out.
My question, however, is where in the description of the Aperture hard cover book does it state that the cover photo is pasted on ? It is difficult to tell how the front cover is constructed from the photos on the Aperture web site.
...... I may have missed it.
    A lesson learned!

  • Drawing attention to an FP object DId YOU know this?

Often when we are walking a user through filling out some required information we want to direct their attention to a particular control. The traditional wasy of oing this is to use "key focus" and if more "help" is required maybe change a string control with instruction saying "please fill in your name!". If you really want to get fancy you may even change the background color.
There is now a new approach available but I am not going to tell you what it is (yet). Instead I'll show you!
Run the attached VI (in LV 8.6) and press the highlight button.
The approach I used is in the code but I hid it so you can first ask yourself "how would I have done that?"
    So did YOU know this?
    Ben
PS To find the answer in the code, please rember that I don't use sequence structes unless I have a reason.

From reading between Darren's lines, the method existed previously and thus if Ben saves a copy for previous versions it will work and the method can be cut and pasted to VIs and used in other versions.  Ben, can you save a version 8.5 of this and see if it works and then post it?  It would be a nice tool and some of us are stuck at 8.5 until further notice.
    Oww you are sharp Scott!
Here it is saved as a invoke node. I did not test it since my 8.5 and 8.6 machines are unique boots of the same machine. If it works we may be able to go bak fartehr than 8.5.
Let me know if it works!

FinalCutProx 10.03 (test version): Using the Sony CX550VE to import 1080p-Files the right channel is louder then the left channel. Using iMovie everything is fine, both channels are leveled correctly. Do you know this problem?

Thanks Tom, that did the trick. Appreciate your help and love your DVD and style. Cheers.

    Hi...everyone !
I finded this messages in my devies log file.
but, I don't know what is mean it.

do you know this messages ?
    I wait your answer.
    thank you.

That message means that someone is attempting to make an rshell (remote shell) connection to your device.
Someone is possibly trying to exploit an rshell vulnerability but I'm pretty sure that the message means that the router is not configured as a rsh server. So you should not have anything to worry about...
Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

    Do you know this http://www.alrit.net
    search to find macbook

If you scroll down on that page, to the black boxes with the pictures of the MBP, you will see that the seller states the MBP sustained "minor water damage" and won't turn on. It then said that he sent it to apple when he realized it wouldn't turn on, and they told him it was because of the liquids. If you want to deal with getting it fixed, its up to you, but I figure the trouble you would go through trying to get it fixed might be more than you want to deal with. Its up to you though, but I wasn't sure if you had seen that yet.

  • Did you know this about bridge?

I'm just curious if I'm the only one who is this slow... :p
But did you know you could use Bridge to search your computer for images by dimensions? Man, I spent sooo much time this morning trying to find a way to 'trick' Windows into giving me a search by dimensions option. :D
    Afterwards, I wasted even
more time googling for utilities or tools with that feature. :\ Then it hit me: I remembered seeing all kinds of neat bits of image information in Bridge last time I used it.
And there it was, in the "find" menu... lol

  • -9672 - do you know this error?

Hey I just got a new Airport Extreme Base Station and everything except the printer is working well. I use an HP c3100 all-in-one printer and whenever I try to add the printer I get an error message that just says, "An error occurred while trying to add printer -9672" Does anyone know what 9672 means? Thanks.

I was setting up two laptops (a PowerBook G4 and an iBook G4) to print with an HP PSC 1400 series printer, and on one of the laptops (the PowerBook), I was able to add it through the printer utility just fine, and with the other laptop (the iBook, which had a more recent driver even), it gave me the 9672 error.
Since I couldn't figure out where the printer drivers were stored on the PowerBook to try and see if using the older driver would fix the problem, I discovered something in this thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1157470
...which pointed at the following page, which gives a step-by-step process for setting it up (but for a different model than mine):
    http://tech.ifelix.net/1300.html
I did everything they said on this page, but my printer was not in the resulting list (on the last instruction, where it says "Select the relevant HPIJS or Gimp-Print Printer Model."). The problem was that I didn't have the relevant HPIJS files installed.
    I had to go to:
    http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/MacOSX/hpijs
and download the file linked to on that page named:
    hpijs-2.7.10.dmg
This is the file for OS X 10.5.x, 10.4.x and 10.3.x. If you're using 10.2.x, select the file below this one.
This file requires "Foomatic-RIP" and "ESP Ghostscript" packages before it will install, but you can download both of those from the very same page, right below the HPIJS links.
Once I installed those three things, I went through the process on:
    http://tech.ifelix.net/1300.html
...and it worked like a charm! The only problem is that with this driver, the only quality level I seem to be able to print with is high, so it takes a long time and uses plenty of toner.
    I hope this helps!

  • Do you know this blending technique?

First off it didn't require using gradients. I absolutely do not like using them.
but this one required that you place the image you wanted to blend in with another image over it, then you would use the marquee tool, check how much you wanted to feather. Select which part of the second image you wanted to fade away, then you would press a button to achieve how much you wanted to fade and it would blend in perfectly. I'm almost positive the ctrl was used and another button but I could be wrong. It gave wonderful results, it was very easy to do. I remember very distinctly doing this.
Does anyone know what this technique is or have another to show me that doesn't use gradients?

Sound like your trying to create a photo collage.  If you place an image over an image the pace command put you into a transform dialog where you can size and position the image where you want it over the other image. If you then use the marquee tool to the select the placed image and feather the selection when you click on the add layer mask icon in the layers palette it will add a layer mask that will feather in the placed image.
I use a different method when creating collages.  I create templates and populate these with interactive actions or batch populate a template using Photoshop scripts.  I created a collage toolkit you can download. Details and examples http://www.mouseprints.net/old/dpr/PhotoCollageExamples.html  My downloads can be found here http://www.mouseprints.net/Photoshop.html

Thats the man. This man appears in my page and I dont know
where it comes from and what it does. Tried to delete it and
nothing affects my page. However ... should i keep it ?

That's inserted by DW when you put a 'jump menu' on your
    page. DW only puts
it there when you do that. If you don't have a jump menu on
    your page, you
can remove that entire block as you have shown it below.

  • Did you know this?

I ordered my first book from Aperture. I was surprised to find out that the front cover of the book is not actually a "cut-out", but a photo PASTED on. This looks terrible. I would imagine that the corners of this cover photo will eventually curl up, causing the photo to come off the cover. The soft cover book that I had ordered from iPhoto (in the past) had a "cut-out on the cover, showing the photo underneath. I assumed that the Aperture book would do the same.
Is this type of "pasted-on" photo cover explained somewhere in the ordering information that I missed???
I can't give this to my customer.

  • Do you know this error message in iphoto?

I created an album yesterday in iphoto.  I then made a slideshow, which i put music from my itunes to. Everything worked fine until today, after I added more photos to it (supplied by a friend on CD).... Now I keep getting a pop up error message regarding various jpegs:
The volume for “IMG_0169.JPG” cannot be found.  Insert the disk or connect to the server volume and wait for it to appear on the desktop, then try again.
Can't seem to get rid of this pop up and i don't know what it means... and i want to be able to burn the slideshow to a DVD-R for a presentation tomorrow... Please help!  Thanks!

Hi there.  I did the Import to Library, but still am getting error message with some of the images... So I give up on using those particular images.  Part of the problem, I think, is that some of them (but not all) were on a Read-Only CD.... the images that I dragged and dropped show up in my iphoto, but can't be used....
Moving on to the next step, I have created my iphoto slideshow, with music, and now I need to be able to copy to DVD-R for others.... can I burn the disc right out of the iphoto program, or do I have to transport to iDVD (which someone else told me to do)?
THanks for your help on all of this!  I really appreciate it.  I am in over my head on this!

  • Firefox is dumped whwn downloade to windiws pc via IE browser. you know this happens, why no fix?

IE is stopping browser upgrade to firefox or other like Safari. when you press download and save it does not appear caise IE prevent the download.
my other comp is a Mac so it wont down load it cause its not correct for the machine. i was hoping to load it to a stick to carry it onto my PC that way.
you must be losing lots of customers due to this IE tactic.

Probably an issue with your security zone setting in Windows or an anti-virus application.
You can use your Mac to download a Windows version of Firefox from here: <br />
