even some of the most experienced java developers may have a problem answering this silly question...

Not that it matters, but I don't see that file in any of my java bin directories,
so I assume the w stands for Windows.Yep, it is Windows specific and it differs from java in that it does not cause a console window to appear. The Sun docs never attribute anything specifically to the 'W' appended to the name, so I suppose it could be one of the W's in "without console window on Windows".

Just click them -- one at a time, so you can undo it if you don't like the effect -- and see what happens.

You can not see this info on VZW's site. There are apps for smartphones that will break down the info though, but by site or what was downloaded

Do you know why the metadata template in Bridge fails for DNGs?

I am writing in IPTC (IIM, Legacy) and IPTC Core metadata into dng files in Bridge (CS4) using the Metadata Templates, and the template I set up works fine for jpgs but when I try to use it for dngs the captions/keywords get written over using the file info from the first image in the folder.
If I select all images in the folder (in Bridge) then right click to File Info and use the Metadata Template I set up with "Keep original metadata, but replace matching properties from template" selected it over-writes the captions/keywords. When all the images are selected and you look at the file info it should say (Multiple Values) in the Caption/Keyword panels but it doesn't, it fills in with the first image in the folder. But if I select all the images and use the drop down from the metadata tab and click Replace Metadata and selected the template I set up it works just fine and the captions/keywords remain in tact.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

First, let's get a bit clearer on our terminology, shall we?
What you are seeing is not a "Build Tag". Sure, the Span indicates a tag and it's there when you build, but a "Build Tag" is a special tag inside RoboHelp that you apply to specific content that you wish to omit from the build using a counterpart known as a "Build Expression".
A Build Tag in RoboHelp looks like this:
<?rh-cbt_start condition="InProgress" ?>New model coming<?rh-cbt_end ?>
What you are reporting is an inline styling element.
Is this a project that began life in RoboHelp 9? Or was it created in an earlier version and was upgraded along the way? Does the same thing occur with a totally new topic you create?

I'm trying to set up another email account through my iphone. This email uses Microsoft Exchange. I put in the email, username, and password. It is now asking for a 'server'. I'm not sure what it is or where to find it. Please help!

There are two different locking mechanisms: passcode, prevents access to your data, and activation lock, prevents use of device if stolen. You do not want the students setting the activation lock.
If the passcode is set & forgotten , you can reload from backup or wipe ( first typed whip ) the device.

If you enter the wrong passcode six or more times, you'll see a message that says Ipad is disabled.

The problem arises when someone sets the activation lock which is set by logging onto your apple id then setting the appropriate option. DEP is the preferred preventative. It established your organization as the owner. The student cannot set an activation log.

For the issue you are having, I would recommend trying a different web browser for starters, and if that doesn't help, follow the instructions below from another post with a resolved solution. If those steps don't help, the problem could be your router.

The laptop's too far away from the router to be connected by ethernet. It's all wifi.
No separate server app on the laptop, it's all samba
The files are on a windows laptop and a hard drive hooked up to the windows laptop. The windows share server is pants, so I'd need some sort of third party server running. Maybe you weren't suggesting to use Samba to connect to the windows share though?

This is cause by the way the App Store checks to see if an application is installed on your system.
Basically when an app is installed it is in the Applications folder and this is where the MAS looks for them. So it looks at your purchase history for the apps you bought and looks in the Applications folder to see if they are installed. If an app is in your purchase history but not in the Applications folder the MAS says you need to install it.
For normal apps this works fine but the OS doesn;t install into the Applications folder. So the MAS sees you have Mountain Lion in your purchase history but it's not in the Applications folder and so it says you need to download it.
Hopefully one of these days Apple wil fix this.

Hello, I have a question regarding the sharing on iMovie. I have just recently purchased an Elgato Gaming Capture HD and I then finished my recording with that and put it into imovie. I worked long and hard on the project and when I go click the share feature on iMovie all the noral options pop up and when I actually click where I want to share it to nothing at all happens. The original image files are missing form your iPhoto library or iPhoto cannot find them, because the link to the originals has been broken. The image info is stored in the internal libraries, independent of the original files. That is, why you are still seeing them.
I restored the whole library from my backup.
Try restoring from an older backup, from before you first noticed the problem.
How large is the library, that you restored? Is the file size large enough to hold all your photos, or has the size been reduced? If the library is still large, the photos may still be inside, even if iPhoto cannot find them.

It just reboots the device and bolds the system fonts. No harm done. If you don't like it, undo the setting, it will reboot and back to as it was.
