Do You Need QT To View YouTube HD Videos??
When viewing a regular youtube video, the file plays as a flash (.flv) native to the browser. Meaning, you do NOT need QuickTime, or any QT codec to view it.
Youtube HD functions differently, that file is a QT (.mp4). My Question is .... when viewing a youtube video in HD, do you need any QT codecs installed, or will it work like a regular youtube video and play through the browser?
I don't believe Windows machines need QuickTime to playback mp4 YouTube HD videos.
Probably true; I think Windows Media Player can finally handle standard MP4. I was presuming that the OP was asking about a Mac, though (and yes, it's unlikely that a Mac wouldn't have QT installed, but I've seen it happen, particularly the QT browser plugins).

I took 20 something pictures on the iPhone on a particular day. I created an album on the iPhone to put those specific pictures in. After getting them moved to the album, I thought I could remove them from the default location they are placed. That turned out to be very bad. Not only did the pictures get removed from the default location, they were also deleted from the album.
It wasn't immediately that they were moved to the album so I'm hoping the photos were backed up to iCloud before they were deleted. I tried to log into iCloud to view the photos to see if they were in there but I didn't see anything for pictures. I read that I needed iPhoto to see them so I bought that program from the App store and still don't see them.
What do I have to do to view the photos that are in my backup on iCloud?

What worked for me is to go to the Excel file, right click and add the MSOLAP user. But this is a manual process, I have many excel files. I don't want to do this to each one. Is there a way to do this in one go?

Try creating a folder for all the files you want to import. Give the MSOLAP user permission to read that folder then copy your excel files in there.
However apart from prototypes I rarely do direct imports of Excel files. For any ongoing project I always stage them in a SQL Server table using SSIS. There are just too many things that can go wrong with Excel files, like people locking the file by leaving
it open. Or changing the file by adding extra columns or putting string values in numeric columns. I find that in SSIS I can build a lot more robust data flows to handle this sort of thing.

On my Mac with OS X Lion I cannot view Youtube HD Videos in Fullscreen!!
Whether I start an HD Video on Youtube,
everything is working very good, in HD too.
But if I change to the fullscreen mode, the Video is more slowly, about only 10 frames per second!
I know, my iMac 24" is old...

Launch Safari while holding a Shift key - this will start Safari with just your Home page
If you can see Reset Safari from the Safari menu, try that.
In addition to downloading and installing Safari again, try reapplying just the Snow Leopard Combo Update: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 There is no need to uninstall Safari first.
Lastly try deleting Safari's Preferences file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist -

You will need to install the media manager software.

Once you install this software you should be able to play youtube videos through the widgets. Additionally Media Manager will allow you to play any music you have stored and view photos and videos that are on your PC.

Can any one please help me as to how to view youtube online videos on TV through my iphone 4. I tried connecting the iphone 4 and TV with a composite AV cable however I can hear only the audio but am not able to view the videos.It seems so stupid that you cant sort videos by date. Some please tell is that we are idiots and tell us how? And if u simply cant, well a big shout out goes to google for being right on top of things. I hate google! Company is too big and they cant keep up apparently. Sooo much junk on you tube and they cant give us filter and sort options on the most widely used tablet on the market.? I have problem with viewing Youtube videos on my N80 IE. The message on the screen says that my "flash player" says my flash player is not the latest, and asks whether I want to download a nrwere version. I go "yes' and the next message that pops up is " there is no available version of flashplayer for your device". Can someone please help ..what is wrong ? Thank you.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with viewing YouTube videos on your Mac. I recommend resetting Safari for an issue like this.
You can reset Safari by going to Safari > Reset Safari and then selecting the option to "Remove all website data." This will clear your Safari History and Top Sites, so I recommend bookmarking the sites you would like to save before resetting Safari. Can I batch process? I need identical effect processing of multiple video files
I have just joined Creative Cloud, so these are very basic questions.....sorry.
I shoot videos of live bands using two cameras, so I usually end up with around 25 separate songs per show and 50 separate files (2 cams, two files per song). All the files are: 1920x1080 resolution, 23.976p frame rate, Pro Res 422 codec.
I currently edit in FCPX and color correct in DaVinci Resolve.
Because of low light conditions, I often need to use the effect Neat Video to remove noise. However, FCPX doesn't like Neat Video: freezes up, will restart rendering sometimes, etc.
So, I need a way to take the color-corrected files from Resolve and process with Neat Video, then import them into FCPX for multi-cam editing. (If Premiere Pro handles Neat Video well, then I may switch from FCPX to Premiere Pro and do it all there.........but I need time to learn Premiere Pro).
So I decided to try After Effects for this. I just tested some files in AE and the Neat Video processing went well.
However, I need to batch process the files if possible. Currently for each file I am:
(1) Setting up a Composition
(2) Adding the Neat Video effect to the file
(3) Using the Neat Video window to adjust settings
(4) Setting the render settings
With my approach I will have to set up 50 separate Compositions.
Questions:
(1) Can I batch process all 50 files, with one set of settings? (I tried using multiple files in one composition, but AE only rendered out the top file).
(2) Can I tell AE that I want the render settings to be the same as the imported files (resolution, frame rate, etc.), rather than having to enter the render settings each time? I just want the rendered files to be identical to the original files, except for Neat Video processing.
Thanks for your help.I don't think Mylenium understood you. You need to not only bring each of 50 clips into it's own Comp but then you need to apply an effect (Neat Video) to each one before going out to the Render Queue... right?
Here's what I would do. Import all 50 clips into your project. Select all of them and drag to Comp button (on the bottom of the Project panel) or right click - "New Comp from Selection". In the dialog that pops up selct "Single Composition", use dimensions from the clip of your choosing, select "Add to Render Queue" and select "Sequence Layers". Open the Comp and select all the layers (they may already be selected), apply the default Neat Video Effect to all of them (or apply it to one, tweak it, select all the other layers and copy/paste it).

In After Effects go to File/Scripts/Run Script File and choose the rd_RenderLayers script. Make sure you are happy with the Render Module settings and the file naming and off you go.
You'll have all 50 clips in 1 Comp, with one place to copy effects and then each layer gets output back to an individual file. -
YouTube "New Videos" Subscriptions
Is there anyway to view YouTube "New Videos" Subscriptions.
Under subscriptions on the iPad and iPhone they have "New Videos" so I can view only the new videos from the channels I have subscribed to.
I was looking under the YouTube channel on the Apple TV but did not see "New Videos".I wish there was.

On my Ipad I seem to be having a problem when trying to play YouTube videos embedded on Facebook.
When I click the links, I get a message saying: "Flash Player upgrade required."
and under it, it says, "You need to download and install the lastes version of Adobe Flash Player to view this content"
and also a green button saying "Get Flash Player"
I get this if using chrome or safari .
I can go direct to YouTube it just works.The Facebook link to the video is accessing an Adobe Flash video. Unfortunately, no iOS devices can play flash.
