Do you need to be connected on the Old and New Domain to run stsadm migrateuser?
Hi,
I need to migrate the items from DOMAINOLD\user to DOMAINNEW\user. I am running stsadm migrateuser, but my connection to DOMAINOLD will not be available on the scheduled migration. Will the command still work? or do I have to be connected on both DOMAINOLD
and DOMAINNEW to make this work?

Hi Mark,
you don't need to be connected to the old domain as you would be already changed the domain on teh SharePoint server.

I upgraded one of my programs and now the icons for both old and new appear on the launch pad. I don't need or want the old version to display, as it's been imported into the new one. I can't seem to figure out how to edit it off the launch pad.

More then likely, the old version was installed independently from the App Store. The article below goes over the process for removing these application.

I want to delete the originals of document while changing the status of document based on CAD indicator status. For this I have implemented BADI DOCUMENT_STATUS01 and the method AFTER_CHANGE_STATUS. From this, the BADI is triggering whenever I am changing the document status and I can able to delete the originals. But here my requirement is to check the CAD indicator status to delete those originals. I.e. whenever the document status will change first time the CAD indicator status will also change. Based on that old and new status of CAD indicator I have to do delete operation.
If anybody has an idea about SAP documents please help me

RameshFirst the document is exists in SAP in FR status. But when the CAD system will connect to SAP then the status is changing from ‘FR’ to ‘IN’ after that the CAD Indicator is populating from Blank to ‘X’.

balaOh boy! Let me see what's going on. Are you using the VZW Cloud or the BUA app? Please try downloading the VZW Cloud app if you dont already have it. And once downloaded. Tap the 3 bars in the upper corner and go down to "TOOLS", then tap "RESTORE CONTENT". That should do it!

Can you compare the performance of the old and new Time Capsules

I have had the older Time Capsule for some time, using it for back up but not as my primary router. Router was provided by ISP but it is aging and I have to purchase a new router to maximize performance. Would like to go Time Capsule only and am wondering if the new Time Capsule will be superior in performance as a route to the old. Any advice?The "new" Time Capsule has wireless "ac" capability, 3-5 times faster than normal wireless, but your Mac will also have to have "ac" capability to really take advantage of the faster speeds.
Even if you don't use the "ac" capability immediately, the new TC runs much cooler than the previous version of the TC, and the antenna arrangement has been improved, which provides a bit better wireless coverage. -
HT4527 So my computers switched the 'old' and 'new' computers for the homesharing option.
Old computer is running Windows 7
New computer is running windows 8
Both are connected over the same cable modem.
I followed the instructions to the letter and it kept doing it.
HELP!!! I need my music on my laptop as I am going to be traveling alot.I am not familiar with "transfer manager." Did you perhaps use the Migration Assistant? What operating system is installed on your new computer?
If you look in your hard drive, in the Users folder, do you see a folder with the name from your user on your old computer?

I just bought new-to-me mac mini running OSX mavericks.
Trying to migrate from old mac mini using simpletech external hard drive.
It still mounts on my old mac mini (system 10.5) but will not mount or show up when I plug it in to the new mac mini running mavericks.

We were thinking along the same lines. While at home I dug up a firewire enclosure and put a bootable GUID formatted drive in it (that I had in one of the usb enclosures) and started her computer holding down the option key and then chose to boot from the external firewire. All usb drives are now mounting upon connection. I asume that her drive has bad sectors on it (even though the SMART status says it's OK) and is not loading all the drivers properly for USB to mount. I was suspicious from the beginning that the OS was corrupt when she first had me look at it. It was at that point that I booted it in target mode, connected to my Macbook Pro, and then CCC'd to a usb drive that I had. I then had a couple of difficulties installing the new OS. Should have known......
I am now going to put a new drive in it for her and she'll be up and running.

An infosource can be used in the 7 flow model, but its purpose is completely different from the 3.x model.
In the 3.x model, the infosource consisted of 2 structures transfer and communication.
The transfer structure was where you specified which field in the datasource corresponds to which infoobject ie the field type.
You now do this in the datasource maintainence in 7.0 (the tabs called proposals and fields)
The communication structure was the structure which was available for uploading.

In the 7.0 flow, you generally use a DSO when you perform sequential transformations ie you want to change the data format or do some processing twice before you actually load to the final infoprovider.
The sequence in this case would be
Datasource -> transformation1 -> DSO -> Transformation 2-> DSO -> Transformation 3-> Cube
The disadvantage of doing this, is that the DSO will store data. To avoid this, you can use an infosource instead of a DSO.

What are the differences between the old and new GarageBand?
I'm debating about purchasing the update from GarageBand '11 to the modern GarageBand. Could someone please list out the differences between the two so I can make my decision? I'd prefer both pros and cons, not just added features.
First of all, going from GarageBand '11 to GarageBand 10 is a major upgrade and not just an update. Both applications are very different.
The good news is, that you can and should keep both versions installed. GarageBand '11 will continue to work with GarageBand 10 installed. GarageBand 10 can use the loops and instruments from GarageBand '11, if you do not uninstall GB '11, and so your older projects can continue to work.
There are many differences between both versions.
GarageBand 10's user interface is more like Logic Pro X. Instead of selecting an instrument for a track and then adding effects, you select patches with predefined effects.
GarageBand 10 introduces smart instruments: Drummers that play automatically instead of just drum loops, smart strings, arpeggiators.
Also new: Amp designer to create your own amps.
It is easier to change the articulation for software instruments in the Midi Draw area,
But quite a few features, that made GarageBand '11 great have been discontinued. So really, keep GB '11 installed, if you upgrade. Then you can have the best of both.
Magic GarageBand is gone.
Podcasts are no longer supported. and the Movie track is more restrictive.
The Sound Effect Instruments, that let you add samples to the Musical Typing keyboard are no longer supported.
The iLife Sound effects collection if loops is missing.
The funny predefined vocal effects for the vocal transformer are gone.
Many instruments and loops are gone.
Duplicating tracks links the copies, so you can no longer edit the copies individually.
I am not sure, if my list is complete. These are just the differences, that are important for my workflow. -
In ux the old and new menu's appear and nothing is moveable.
I downloaded Firefox UX and I understand that Many problems will appear. When I saw the screenshots I didnt see the old menu button, just the new one but on my computer they both appear. And when I hit customize no buttons are moveable (even the addon buttons). Anyone know whats wrong?

If you have a clustered Sharepoint 2013 Server farm running RAID 10, on a
clustered WS2012 R2 server that has 10 hard drive slots:
(4) drives being part of the Sharepoint 2013 Server farm
(1) drive for the Web App Server
(5) are for hot swap if any of the production hard drives fail
The question(s) is:
- If the server only has 10 slots for hard drives are you still allowed to add a
NAS/RBS drive and does the NAS/RBS drive get clustered also, or does this scenario require
reducing the RAID level down to RAID 5 to allow for NAS/RBS hard drive?
- Does the NAS/RBS hard drive need a hard drive for hot swap?
- Does the NAS/RBS drive have to have Sharepoint 2013 Server or WS2012 R2 running on it?
- Does the Web App Server have Sharepoint 2013 running or just WS2012 R2 running on it?

ShabeautRAID 10 requires a minimum of 4 hard drives. The LUN for RBS must be attached to the SQL Server, not SharePoint server, as a local drive. You just need to be running the minimum required OS for the version of SQL Server you're using.
Do you mean Office Web Apps by "Web App Server"? If so, that cannot have SharePoint installed on it. Otherwise, if you're just referring to it as another SharePoint server, yes it would have SharePoint installed on it.
