Do you need to keep both versions of cc app

My CC updated now lists, and keeps updating, CS CC and, now, CC2014? Do I need to keep all of these locally or should I just keep the new 2014 version and remove the others - they take up so much space.

These are the ways I tried
1) Earlier I have MS office 32 bit and SPD 32 bit, I uninstalled them and installed both 64 bit versions
2) I uninstalled restarted my machine and installed it again still no use.
3) I installed SPD 2010 Service Pack 2 of 64 bit
4) I uninstalled the SPD 2010 and opened the site—site actions—edit page in SPD , then it asked me to install SPD 2010, then I installed and tried to open the same site, again same error.
How to solve this issue?
I checked permissions also at that site level – I have full control like others. I don’t have access to Central Admin so where else I can check the permission settings?

Please update us SharePoint version

Do I need to keep old versions of Bridge?

I've bought different versions of Creative Suite apps over time and now have an unnumbered version of Bridge, Bridge CS3, Bridge CS5 and Bridge CS5.5 on my computer. I have InDesign CS3 and CS5, Illustrator CS3 and Photoshop CS5.1 on my iMac running OS 10.7.5. Do I need to keep earlier versions to interact with CS3 versions of Illustrator? And how about Adobe Device Central?

My question is whether I can get rid of the lower-numbered versions of Bridge, Device Central and Extension Manager and, if so, what is the safe and sensible way to do it.
The answer is more or less the same, If you don't have much space problems and you may find the need to use some of the old applications just leave them where they are. If you want to tidy up just place the rarely used app in one main folder (e.g. Adobe - old) there is no need to uninstall nor is it wise to partially uninstall.
You maybe don't own a Creative Suite in total but all applications with CSxx are part of the suite its version number shows.
You can't use the uninstaller for Bridge alone per CS5, this has Bridge bundled with either PS or AI or ID. So you have to uninstall them to. removing applications to the trash manually is usually not the best thing to try. If you needed to install it instead of copy to your App folder you also have to official uninstall it for best practice.
You can use only one version at the time of Bridge while you can have multiple versions of other applications of the CS series running and active at the same time.
Ideally Bridge is the 'bridge' between those apps but due to many differences between the separate CS versions Bridge (and other apps) are not very good in working together.
Namely the start up scripts won't load or function in Bridge CS5 when the other apps don't have this same CS number. (as said, CS5 and CS5.5 might be possible) so communication with tools menu or MiniBridge will not be smooth-less or not possible at all.
You can however always use the newest Bridge as main application and choose open with and select the wanted application that shows in the list.
Don't know if this is the same for the place command because I only have CS6 on my machine and I can't check myself.
And the biggest space consumer is in your user library / caches/ Adobe / Bridge CSxx. inhere is a folder called Cache and this can grow to huge proportions if you use it a lot.
If you rarely use the older versions just keep the latest version as it is and dump the other ones.
The same as for Bridge is for the extension manager. You may need the latest version. if the others are cluttering your sight put them in the Adobe -old folder.

No , you are not required to do so. it just happened coz you have selected both the options 32 BIT and 64 BIT (default), for correct installation if you have 64 bit compatible OS follow these steps..
First do a clean uninstall.
Run the Photoshop CS6 installer.
Enter your serial number. Click Acccept.
On the right side of the Options panel under the 64-bit heading, uncheck the box for Photoshop CS6. Leave the "Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64-bit)" option checked.
Finish the installation.
But keeping both the files does not do any harm excep the storage issues (it increases).
Its all my assumption and experience both but hope you will get the answer.

To be able to use documents at iCloud.com, you need at least one iOS device that uses the same account with at least one of the iWork apps installed.

Do I need to keep old versions of CS on my PC in order to have the most recent work properly?

I recently started a new position and plesently found my work station already set up with Creative Suite 5.5, but then saw CS 4 and CS 3 as well. When I asked IT why they were all there, the response was that upgrades build off of one another. If we were to uninstall 4 and 3, 5.5 wouldn't work.
Now, this isn't my first time around the block... I've never done this in the past in any other position. In fact, I remember how much work it was to install the new software and then uninstall the old, frequently running into problems along the way.
Is my new IT department right? Or can I uninstall the older versions in the hopes that my computer works faster/better?

It is not necessary to have old version of Creative suite already installed in your machine. You can uninstall the old version form your computer and there will not be any problem.
When you buy an upgrade of any creative suite let say for example if you buy an upgrade for CS6 from CS5.
You start the installation of CS6 and it will ask for the serial number --- the moment you enter the serial number for the CS6 upgrade it will ask for the serial number for the previous qualifying version which could be CS5 or any eligible old version
After entering both the keys it will continue the installation.
So you just need to have the serial numbers of the both versions at the time of installation.

Do I need to keep three versions of LR and two of PS now that I'm in Creative Cloud?

I've used LR for years and like it a lot, so I joined Creative Cloud for LR and PS. Somehow I now have three versions of LR and two of PS on my hard disk. They appear to be complete programs, but with different file dates. Do I need to keep all these versions? They are confusingly labeled in Windows 7, for example.

Older versions are provided as some plug-ins may not work with the latest versions. However if this is not a concern and you don't mind CC desktop showing updates available to install, you could remove the older programs via the Windows control panel keeping only Photoshop CC 2014 and Lightroom CC 2015.

Any need to keep old versions of Logic

Is there any need to keep my older versions of Logic... I know have Logic 6 thru Logic 9.... Those of you with all the versions do you keep the older versions or do you keep them laying around?

I keep them because every once in a while a mix comes my way on an old Logic format. I did decide to get rid of them at one point and then found I had to reinstall so I could pull up some of my old tunes.
FTR: any work done before L7 has to be loaded into L7 and saved before it can be loaded into L8 and L9
So yes, I keep L7 and 8 just in case.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF FOLDER IN DOCK IF YOU NEED TO KEEP THE ORIGINAL FOLDER

If I put a folder of pictures on the new Leopard dock, can I trash the original folder? I want to keep my desktop clean and just have it in the dock but I think it will just delete the folder if I do that. If this is the case, what is the point of keeping the folder in the dock if you still need to keep the same original folder on the desktop or elsewhere on your hard drive? Thanks to anyone who can hep with this!

If it behaves as in Tiger, then the folder will indeed be deleted.

If the folder is on your desktop, then it's rather easy to access, but if it's buried on your hard drive, you my not want to open a Finder window if you need to access it regularly. Basically, placing a folder in the Dock creates an alias (shortcut) to the folder. But if you place the folder in the Dock and move the actual folder to your documents folder (for example) instead ot trashing it, your desktop will still be clean, and you'll be able to access your folder easily. IMO, it's not that bad…

6500 and 5500 printers - do you need to load both software suites to scan?

Have a 5500 officejet with the HP Director software. Now adding a 6500 officejet with its HP Solution software. Cant the 6500 software run the 5500 printer's scan features as well as the 5500?? To load both software suites is a huge memory hog. Any solutions??

You'll need to installl both softwares, but the 6500 software will upgrade Director to Solution Center, and you scan from both printers using SOlution Center.

Keeping two versions of an app

I need to keep Keynote 5.3 and Pages 4.3 on my computer to remain compatible with some clients, but need to also purchase Keynote 6.0 and Pages 5.0 for others. Since I already own the old versions, the App Store only offers the "update" option. How can I buy the new versions without losing the old ones, and keep both on the computer? Thanks -

The Mac App Store does it for you. When I updated the iWork apps for free with Mavericks (and everyone else here whose posts I have seen has reported the same behavior) the old apps are placed in a folder iLife '09 in the Apps folder and the new apps are placed loose alphabetically in the Apps folder.
But to be safe, you should always have a backup or two of all of your content.

No technical reason. It's up to you.
Some people keep older versions because some features have been removed in newer versions.
e.g. the Oil Paint filter has been removed in Photoshop CC 2014 which upset some people

HT1391 Do I need to keep both the Itunes Media and Itunes Music folder in order for Itunes to work? It has eaten my hard drive up.

I have Itunes Music and Itunes Media folders that have almost the same gigs in them, the media is larger. Do I need both of these? Depends if you keep manual backups and if you have done additional work over those days.
FWIW - I have auto save off and just do manual backup saves.
