Do you recommend to buy iPhone 4S?

hello,
For two months I'm looking for a phone and I really want to buy one in the next few days.
I am debating whether to buy iPhone 4S or wait to come out the iPhone 5.
I am afraid to buy it because I heard the battery problems were not solved yet (I hope that the next iOS 6 update will fix that issue).
What do you think? Should I buy or wait to the next generation iPhone?
thanks.

How bad do you need the phone?
If you go to any smartphone forum, the number one topic
is usually bad battery life.  When I was deciding to get a
smartphone, I went to all the forums to see what issues
there were with the different phones for how I would use
it, and usually battery life was an overwhelming favorite
gripe.  In a few cases there may be some bad batteries
or some other hardware malfunction, but for the most part,
battery life depends on how it is used.
Personally, I get the battery life I expect depending on how
I am using it at the time.

in terms of performance: do you recommend to update iPhone 3gs to os5 or os6?

If you update your 3GS, iOS 6.0.1 will be installed on it...you don't have a choice, as that is the only iOS currently signed by Apple, that is available for your phone.

  • What product do you recommend to connect iphone/itouch to car that has an 'aux' option?  What is the? cord, and where can I buy it

Looking for best cord option for connecting and utilizing iphone and itouch to use in car that has an 'aux' port....thoughts, suggestions?
    Thanks

    depend on the connector
aux can be jack connector or RCA or various other connector types
aux really just mean analog audio in the non amped form that your dvdplayer and cdplayer and old stereo used
so buy a cable with a 3.5mm mini jack connector in one end and whatever connector your input device use or build the cable yourself

  • What camcorder would you recommend to buy that has the firewire and ability

to upload directly to imovie? I have a JVC MG20 which is great but gave me all sorts of complications in adjusting/changing settings etc just to get it into imovie. Im now intending on buying a new one in the next few months which will make my life simpler and i would like peoples opinions and recommendations. The JVC i have now is a hard drive style which i like, dont want to mess around with dvd discs in the camcorder, much rather do my editing on the mac and make a dvd from that.
    Thanks for any advice given...

Really any Sony or Canon that has firewire and DV Tape...do not get a DVD nor a Hard drive camera, though. They are NOT compatible with iMovie at this time.

  • What package do you recommend with buying a new macbook air?

I am looking to buy a MacBook Air.  I'd like a much storage as possible, speed as posible and to edit photos, etc (but don't want to pay for more than I need).  Thanks.  I am hoping to use my new MacBook Air seamlessly with my iPad2 for pages documents (sinced to the cloud).

    1. Opt for the 8 GB memory upgrade. For $100, it will absolutley give the biggest "bang for buck", in terms of performance upgrades. Since you can never upgrade the memory later, it is a necessity to include the option with your purchase.
    2. 256 GB is a reasonable amount of SSD, provided that your iTunes library is under around 32 GB, and you don't plan on storing too much in the way of movies or other space intensive files. It is also enough if you possibly plan to run a simple Windows installation with a VM product like Fusion or Parallels. Consider the larger 500 GB selection if you think you will be storing large amounts of data. Only yop will know what you will need. I say estimate your need, then double it. I have about 175 GB on my system right now, and use Windows and have a modest iTunes libary, with a few movies. I opted for the 500 GB SSD, so I have some room.
    3. Upgrade the processor only if you will be needing the device for light gaming, video editing, or any other processor or graphics intensive work. The base processor is pretty good, and the upgrade is only a modest increase in performace, so this will be the least likely upgrade to consider if money is tight.

  • Advance/semi LE 8 users, would you recommend to buy or wait?

I returned logic express 7.2 back unopened; and waiting for my reimbursement to purchase Logic
*Express 8*. I read some good/bad reviews on LE8, but want to be sure about this investment.
I do realize it's quite new to the market and most users are still in the process of learning or giving it a test drive! So my qestion is mainly geared to those more advance or those who graduated from LE7, etc., (buy or wait)?
I appreciate your valuable advise or opinion (s)!!

As someone who used Logic Express 7 for a month or two before getting a free upgrade to 8, I can say that the program is much improved and seems very stable to me... I have not run into any problems yet, and I am really liking the new interface... The whole program is way more powerful and easier to use for the most part (more intuitive, more Right-click/Ctrl-Click functionality, elements have better visibility, and the whole experience is much more streamlined). I think that this is something worth getting, especially for someone who is perhaps semi-professional (someone not doing it for a job, but devoting a lot of time and energy to it, and producing at a pro, or near-pro level)
I agree-I bought Express instead of Studio (as I have all of its Jam Packs), and found it quite easy to learn.
I like the Ultrabeat drum sampler in version 8, plus the interface is easy-going and has a nice workflow.

It is best to stop making all new apple IDs, as software is permanently tied to them, and you can't converge them. Make differnt ones if you plan to get divorced though....

You can't run iMovie 11 on a PPC G5 running the old OS 10.3 Panther - which is what you say you have.

  • Hello, I am interested in buying a new Macbook Pro but want to run Adobe CS package.  Which computer do you recommend?

Hello, I am interested in buying a new Macbook Pro but want to run the latest Adobe CS package.  Which computer do you recommend for best speed and perfromance?

Depending on the software you'll use - I doubt you'll be an expert on After Effects and use Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver like a pro (you may be an exception) - I have a 13" Macbook Pro simply because the 15" lacks the portability of the smaller size - the Retina 15" is alot lighter and if you can afford it - go for it!
I bought the Macbook Pro and replaced the 4GB of RAM with 8GB of RAM and replaced the HDD with an m4 SSD from Crucial. The SSD really makes a difference in app start up speeds, loading times and bootup speeds. The RAM ensures apps operate smoothly and everything is snappy. Since getting an SSD, I would say the performance of Photoshop and Illustrator is vastly improved. I can have both open whilst surfing the web, checking my email and even using Dreamweaver every once in a while. Multitasking is great.
To conclude, depedning on your price range, buying a £999 Macbook Pro and swapping the HDD for an SSD and the 4GB of RAm to 8GB, will ensure better performance than both 15" Models. However, buying a 15" Model and maxing out the specs, would beat the performance of a maxed out 13".
I have a 13" and it runs faster than it was when I first purchased it last year. Photoshop opens in 2/3 seconds and performance is great.
    Hope this helps.
P.S. If you have the money, get the 15" Retina. If not, max out the 13" if you still want portability. Otherwise, get the 15" and max that out if you feel performance is poor.
The reason I say Retina, is because the maxed ram and SSD is already installed and saves alot of hassle aswell as the slimmer design and lighter weight.

The fonts must be clear and sharp.

  • Would you recommend a friend to buy a MBPro ?

    So lets see...
Would you recommend a friend or girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife to rush out first thing in the morning and buy a MBP ?? Be honest...
I wil start: From what I am reading on here and other places on the web, my answer is emphatically NO !

Syntrak, I believe you don't own one so you only know
    about the MBP by reading.
I do own one, and my answer is an emphatic YES, but
only IF the person asking really needs or wants such
a powerful portable. A lot of power and features in
such slim and small package comes with some
drawbacks: Shorter battery life is one of them.
I think I said it before, this MBP Rocks BABY!
I could not agree more and couldn't have written this any better. I haven't felt this great about a new Mac in a long time. Can't wait for FCP Suite Universal to arrive to put through it's paces. Needless to say, the MBP is on all day and into the late evening hours. It Rocks! Don't have any second thoughts.

  • Can you change a black iPhone 5 case into the white iPhone 5 without buying a new phone?

Can you change a black iPhone 5 case into the white iPhone 5 without buying a new phone?

Apple does not have an exchange program.
By the time you purchase the required materials to change the case from black to white and the expense to do so, you would be better off selling the black iPhone and use the proceeds to purchase a white one.

  • HT4059 why can you browse, and buys books from itunes but not read them on my iMac?  Pretty lame I think. my kindle show up across all my computers, iPhones and Android devices no problem.

just wondering why you can browse, buy on itunes but not read on an imac. My kindle apps work on the imac, ipod, asus netbook, iphone and android devices.  Why not ibooks on imac?

"just wondering why you can browse, buy on itunes but not read on an imac. "
Because Apple does not make an ibook reader for computers.
