Do you think any1 would buy a personalized mini?

I might want to sell mine and it's unfortunately personalized. Do you guys think anyone would want to buy it for cheaper on eBay or something?

It'll probably be easier to sell it offline, so that the buyer can see it, and decide.
Maybe offer to buy a skin that covers it?

    So my iMac will be the same as the new one that will be released this year,
    Or will I have to buy a new iMac to get all these new updates ??
    It would be a shame if I did because my iMac is only 6months old if that ..
    Kind regards Simon Trott Apple user and proud of it

    We're not allowed to speculate on future or rumoured Apple products, but we all know there'll always be newer tech coming along.
    The iMac you have is an excellent machine, be happy with it and get a good few years use out of it. By the time your machine is slowing down, whatever comes next will have been updated numerous times.
    I had the 2011 i5 27" delivered about 3 weeks ago. It's a cracking machine

  • So if i had lost my ipod, and i had bought the applecare for my ipod, do you think i would be able to get a new ipod since i have the applecare on it? or to get a new one would i have to give thee device in then get a new one?

    so if i had lost my ipod, and i had bought the applecare for my ipod, do you think i would be able to get a new ipod since i have the applecare on it? or to get a new one would i have to give thee device in then get a new one?

    Applecare has nothing to do with a lost or stolen device.
    You would have to buy a new ipod.

  • Do you think anybody would mind this?

    I'm going to the Apple Store tomorrow to get my iPhone 4. My parents have to be there because they're the accountholders (dad is there to sign because his name is on contract, mom is there to ask questions and pay because here credit card is on the contract). My mall is having us wait in two lines outside the mall starting at 3am, and walking the two lines inside at 6am. My mom and dad really don't want to stay there for 4 hours before getting in. Do you think people would mind if they just came in later and and met up with me at the apple store and went in with me? (It's not like i'm getting more than one handset because the limit is 1 anyway)

    I think it would be alright to have them show up later. As you said, you are only buying one phone so it should not affect anyone.

  • How much do you think this would cost?

    So the home button on my ipod is going out and im having problems with the assistive touch. I've also been having problems with memory that I dont think I should be having. How much do you think it would cost to trade this Ipod 4th Generation in for the newest model with a higher memory than 8 GB?

    "really?"
    Yes.  Apple does not want your old ipod.
    "ven if I didnt cause the problem that makes me need a new one? "
    Yes.  If it is defective AND it is within the one year warranty, then Apple will replae with the exact same model, not a newer model at all.

  • I want to ask you if i will buy the ipad mini wifi from this site,after can i use it in Europe without problems?

    i want to ask you if i will buy the ipad mini wifi from this site,after can i use it in Europe without problems?
    Thank you

    Wifi is wifi (generally) and you should be able to take your american bought device (presuming that's what you mean) to europe and get it online.
    The biggest issue you may face is to make sure you have a plug adapter. Your power brick is rated for world wide power variances you'll just need an adapter to make the plug fit eurpoean plugs.

  • Don't you think this would be a good idea?

    If i click on safari or youtube and the wifi is on... why it doesn't ask you if i want to turn it on, instead of going back to settings and turn it on and back to safari?

    Don"t you think that the enhanced for-loop was meant
    to be used with Collections and Enumerations?
    For arrays, use the standard for-loop as of old:
    for (int k = 0; k < file.length; ++k)
    file[k] = new File(filenames[k]);
    There is a version of the enhanced for loop for
    arrays, for example:
    void f(int[] a) {
    for(int n:a)
    System.out.println(n);
    }and while its tempting to keep adding features on top
    of features, I'm happy to leave well enough alone.That's precisely what I wrote in my first post , just replace "int" by "String", "a" by "fileNames" and "n" by "fileName" ;)

  • My MacBook Pro laptop says 'service battery' and doesn't charge very well but my Mac is 5 years old. Is it worth buying a new battery or do you think I should buy a new mac?

    Hi guys,
    I can only leave my MacBook Pro unplugged for an hour maximum and it never seems to fully charge. It says on the Mac to service battery - which I guess means buy a new battery.
    I have had my MacBook for over 5 years now and it does get used probably every day, if not every other. If I brought a new battery would it all work normally again or is it getting old and do I need a new one?
    Also, my charger seems to be playing up a bit now as well. It's seems to be temperamental when I plug it in and takes to while to light up and charge.  I've attached an image of the battery bit on my laptop as the lead seems to be fine - is this normal?
    Thanks in advance guys.

    Is there any application(s) that your current Mac cannot run that only a new can?  Calculate the cost per year of your current MBP and compare that to the cost of a new battery.  Spread the battery cost over a year or two of additional operation, how do the dollar amounts compare?  If the MBP is functioning properly, I generally find it is more cost effective to keep it.
    If the retina display and the SSD storage are very desirable from your perspective, then that becomes a different matter.  You are the one to make the final decision.
    Ciao.

  • I am trying to setup some online banking and they indicated that I should revert back to an older version of Firefox (v. 3.5). I am running 3.6.3. Two questions: 1. Do you think this would help? 2. How do I revert back to an older verson?

    https://www.cardmemberservices.net/welcome.php

    Are you sure about that URL? It's pretty strange for a bank to be using a 2010 copyright in the middle of 2011.
    On the FirstNational site, they recommend the latest release of Firefox ([http://www.firstnational.com//001/html/en/personal/faqs/tran/system_technical_requirements.html]).
    Anyway, due to changes made to your profile when upgrading to version 3.6, there is no quick and easy way to downgrade to 3.5.

  • With my current setup how much ram do you think I would be using up?

    Hey Apple Community!!!!! Recently bought my first Apple Product, a couple months back bought a 13in Macbook Pro and so far I love it but recently have been having some wierd issues. I am a Green Horn with a capital "G" when it comes to apple software so I am not sure where to even begin.
    When I bought my Mbp I also purchased 16gb ddr3 of ram separately from a reputable dealer that I installed when I got the mbp. I use this strictly for school and thats it and I am very good with computers, well PC anyways (I have other pc's for whatever else I want to do). I installed VMWare Fusion along with Windows 7 ultimate as I am studying computer programming and the programs I need to run are windows based. However it seems to me like I have alot of stuff in the Ram pretty much all the time. Like usually less than 1gb is free, maybe 2 or 3 gbs free and not much is wired. Alot (like usually around 10 gb or more) is Active. Sometimes when I remove the usb receiver for my wireless mouse the whole computer will shut down and restart but I cant make heads or tails of the report it gives me. It also seems to be getting slower at times. The little rainbow circle that takes over the mouse pointer when something is loading is becoming a closer friend than I would like lol. Any ideas on some programs or registry repairs(if the mac even has registry I thought I read somewhere it does not, at least not in the same sense as pc based). Really trying to keep a little amount of stuff off this thing as possible I would like this to last through school.

    I also have 16GB of RAM and when I'm running a lot of apps and not restarting for days on end, my RAM usage in Activity Monitor can look like this:
    Usually a restart will free up a lot of RAM - even though I do keep dozens of apps open at once
    So that's nothing to worry about.
    I have no idea why you're having 'beachballing' - take a look at ds store's user tip - Step by Step to fix your Mac. Maybe you can come up with some ideas there.

  • Do you think we would need to pay the 129.99 charg...

    We have no dial tone and can't make or receive calls, but our bt broadband is working. The line has been checked and the fault is within our property. I have tried different phones, and opened the socket and put phone directly into internal socket, as instructed on the online video guide. I have unplugged all phone stuff and tried putting in just one working phone. All to no avail. Our main socket - the one attached to the broadband is very old- between 11 and 40 years, and looks as tho it has seen better days ( and did do when we moved in over 10 years ago ). My husband is fairly able to fix things, and would try if we are likely to be charged for a new socket ( at £130). But do not want to meddle cos could make things worse. Can't understand whether socket is covered or not?

    If its not working in the test socket, with different phones, then the fault is outside of your property, and a charge will not apply.
    The automatic line tester is not very accurate, and a disconnection in the street cabinet (a very common fault), will often show as near or within your property, especially if the street cabinet is nearby.
    Its quite possible for broadband to still work, even if one wire is disconnected. The speed is usually reduced.

  • 720P to 480P - You think it would be a no Brainer

    I am having much difficulty producing a 480P downconversion of a 720P sequence. My show is done and looks beautiful. But when I make a new timeline for 480P and drop the show in and render, it has all these scaling lines and zebra line effects.
    There is not any interlacing here, but that it what it looks like. I cannot find a good way to resolve this. I have tried putting the 720P output into compressor/episode and others with no luck.
    I am willing to spend for a plugin to deal with this. 720-30P to 480-30P should be a no brainer, but is not.
    Help! ($50 to the one that has the solution)

    What are your sequence settings for your 480p sequence?
    Have you checked in Compressor that your source is not interpreted as interlaced (click your source once, and have a look in the Inspector)?
    For the best possible downconversion in Compressor, I would recommend activating Frame Controls.
    Have a look here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7372382&#7372382 (ignore the deinterlace settings)

  • Do you think Best buy would let me exchange my mbp 13 for the newer model?

    I just bought an open box mbp 13 from best buy on march 28th and now I see they have this new mbp with 2gb more ram and a better video card, not to mention double the hdd. I know they have a 14 day return policy, but do you think they would let me exchange the one I got for the newer one? Or is there some kind of exchange program through apple?

    That is just it I only got the usual 10% open box discount. Where I live you have two choices, the apple store (same 10% discount, if they have an open box, which they never did). Best buy also 10% off if open box. Still $100 is $100. But yeah $100 is not going to put me at 4gb ram, better video card, although it could get me a way better hdd then the newer model hehe. Really though that is the least of my worries. See I do photo editing of large raw files in Photoshop so memory and video card upgrades would be great. Oh well no use crying over spilled milk. Im just feeling like cinnamon toast crunch, because I could have got these upgrades for way less then what they will cost me for free virtually. Not too mention the video card is not even a possible upgrade.

    If covered by warranty. See:
    Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage
    Then if the iPod is within warranty, not abused Apple will exchange it at no cost. You can do it at an Apple store
    Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • About to buy a personal domain, any tips

    I'm new to this and about to purchase a personal domain. Do I just buy the name or must I get a hosting package with it (some offer emails, 2GB storage etc). I assume the my .mac is the host but just want to make sure.
    Any help appreciated.
    Tony

    Tony ~ Your assumption that your +".Mac is the host"+ is correct, so yes, you just need to buy the personal domain without the hosting package with it.
    And unless you upgrade to a +.Mac Family Pack+ you'll have only one email address. A +.Mac Basic Membership+ comes with 10GB of combined email and file storage.
    If you don't want .Mac to be the host you can:
    1. Get the hosting package along with your domain name or...
    2. Sign up with another host separate from your domain name provider.
    Either way, when not using .Mac as the host, you would publish your iWeb site to a folder and then upload it to the non-.Mac host via +File Transfer Protocol+ (FTP) software. Here's a comprehensive list of Mac file transfer software:
