Dock/Display shifts to the right?

My macbook 2.1 display goes whacko and the dock shifts to the right and sinks half way below the bottom of the screen. If I move the cursor to the right hand edge of the screen the screen begins rolling continuously to the left.
In frustration I walked away and come back to find everything centered. It is doing this repeatedly.

It sounds like the "Zoom" feature is being activated. Check in "System Preferences">"Universal Access" to make sure it's off. You can also turn it on or off with the key combination "Option, Command, Number 8"

  • Export to pdf...everything too small and shifted to the right

I've been using pages to work on a training manual. The online printer I am using requires pdf. When I export to pdf, the resulting document is shifted to the right and is smaller. I can't seem to find anything about how to make it look right. I've also tried print to pdf, change options there such as scale, scale to fit pages, etc. Nothing works!

I've had this the same problem in the past. What application are you using to view the PDF? When I use Preview it typically looks good, but when I use Acrobat, the font is smaller and doesn't look as good. There are two solutions I've tried for this. One, make sure the font you're using is an Adobe font; if it isn't, it may be render properly when using Acrobat to create the PDF. Two, increase the font size to a minimum of 14, and this might make it appear more accurately regardless of whether the font you're using in Pages is an Adobe font.
I've also had trouble with Google Chrome in sometimes shifting certain PDF's and only printing 3/4's of the document in a print out. I now use Safari to view/print my PDF and never have that problem.

  • Has photoshop started using EXIF orientation to display photos with the right rotation?

Has photoshop updated recently and started using EXIF orientation to display photographs with the right rotation?
I thought in the past it ignored the EXIF orientation, but it seems like it is now using it. Does anyone know if you can tell it not to use this information when displaying the image on the screen?
    Please help!!

Duh! My apologize for not providing the important details.
The system model I have tested on:
    Mac Pro Early 2009
    2.66Ghz 10GB Memory
Dual NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB Cards (original cards)
    Tested on 10.7.4-10.7.5, 10.8.2
Crash Report can be located here:
http://pastebin.com/aeZ2kYvw  (this was using version 10.7.4)
It's just odd since last year we've been using this setup fine with v13.0 and now with v.13.0.3 it doesn't work. The reason for our two independent video cards is so that one card sends video to the monitor screen of the teacher, the second card sends a video signal that can be switched to either a projector or 8 lcd monitors in the lab (we've invested a lot of video infrastructure for this lab). When we tested using a single card for both outputs we would get an odd interlace horizontal thin bar that would go top to bottom ever so slowly. This would appear either when looking at video or when moving windows around. Doing the dual video cards solved that issue for us and have been using the setup since 2009.

  • Saved as tax form PDF shift to the right

I copied PDFs of tax forms from the IRS web site. I then filled them out in Preview mode and tried to save these files on my hard drive. When I did the copy of the pdf shifted to the right and erased part of the document on the far right side. How can I save this PDF in Preview and not have the documents shift?

I have seen that with some forms in Preview. Try using Print > Save as PDF.

  • IViews Links Shifted to the Right when using Firefox

    Hi,
We are using SAP Netweaver Portal 7.0 and have created multiple portal themes.  With one of the themes we created, it looks that the iViews links that appear in the the detail navigation of the portal are shifted to the right when using firefox.  There are no issues however with the sap standard theme.  Please let me know what theme properties may cause the iViews links to be shifted to the right when using Firefox.
    Thank you,
    Ghizlane Idrissi

    Hi Rahul,
I understand the limitations with Firefox.  However, i experience this issue only with the theme we created.  With the standard SAP theme, the issue is not there. That tells me that the issue is with the theme we created.  I just can't find what specific property in the theme editor is causing that. Any thoughts?
    Thank you.

  • Facebook columns are shifted to the right

This happens only on facebook, all the columns are shifted to the right side of the page. I've check FB's web site for help but its hard to find any answers. Im using most updated XP Home, and running FF 6.0.1. This does not happen when I use I.E. however.

I use aperture 3 since a long time. Using slit viewer, noe the bigger image become bigger then the given space and shifted to the right, so that I can't see the complete picture anymore. And I also don't see the last few picture in the strip below. How can I splve this problem?

This lloks like your preferences file might have become corrupted.
you probably have a problem with corrupted user preferences.
Remove the Preferences: Remove the Aperture's user preferences from the User Library as described here:
    Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics   http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3805
Note:Your User Library is hidden by default in 10.7.x or later - to open it in a Finder window use the "Go" menu from the Finder's main menu bar.
Quit Aperture, if it is running. Log off and on again.
Open the user library by using the Finder's "Go > Go to Folder" menu and hold down the options-key, until "Library" appears in the drop down menu. Select it.
In the widow that will open, scroll down to "Preferences"
From the "Preferences" folder  remove "com.apple.Aperture.plist".
Then try to launch Aperture again.
But deleting the "Preferences" file will cause Aperture to forget the preferences settings. Be prepared to have to reset all options you set using the Aperture Preferences panel.

  • "Oslo.Master" set as the The default Master Page, but when record selected in "List View Web Part" page shifts to the right.

    Hi All,
I have set "Oslo.Master" as the The default Master Page for the site.   I have a page with a List View web part and an InfoPath Web Part connected.  When the page loads is it displayed correctly.  However, when a record
is selected and the infopath web part is updated, the content on the page shifts (indents) to the right.
Is there something I am missing?   Does anyone know how to correct this?
    Thanks in Advance!

    Hi Dwayne,
I could reproduce this, as a workaround, we can use javascript code as below to hide the element in the following image.
    <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.9.1.min.js"></script>
    <script>
    $(document).ready(function(){
    $('#contentBox').prev().hide();
    </script>

I have only had my mac one month and it seems while I use Skype the screen freezes and I cant click on anything and everything on the right hand side of the screen shifts to the left and the left to the right with a back block down the centre and sometimes lines running down the screen over all. As it is almost brand new should I be going back to store to get this problem fixed??

Yes.  You are still under warranty.  Why waste it?

  • SMARTFORMS printing is shifted to the right

We are having a problem with a SMARTFORMS for 1099 called IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC. We noticed that the print preview after testing the 1099 and the print preview from the SPOOL (trx SP01) shows the 1099 form OK, but printing it out cuts off the right side of the form/image by about 1.5 CM.
There are two things we've tried so far:
    1) In SPAD, we have adjusted in the Output Attributes Tab of the DEVICE the area called Additional SAPScript and Smart Form Information. Here, the horizontal move can be entered as a -10 (in millimeters) for instance.
This didn't work for us, as it only shifted the truncated (bad) image to the left 1 CM, thus centering an incomplete image.
    2) Before printing from the spool in SP01 we changed the printer from the device type to be LOCL. This worked OK, and the 1099s print nearly centered and not cut-off on the right, but we are not sure that it will work well when we print the 1099s in the production run.  (i.e. if this is in an adjustment that they can even make...or if it will correct the problem in the same way on a different printer).
Could someone please help with more feedback on this issue to see if using LOCL is the best way to do this, or if there are other, more global, settings that I can make to correct this.
Last resort, I could download and shift the background image or something. Shifting the background image would be difficult, however, not to mention it would make all the SMARTFORM fields on the 1099 print in the wrong spot.
    Thank you!!
    Jeremy

As you know, for 2010, you must apply 1535966 for the 2010 Smart Form 1099 reporting.
Note 1546868 just came up to fix the truncation on the right issue.  We are about to apply this note and I will respond with our results shortly.
FYI - Here is the sympton from the note:  "After Oss Note 1535966 was applied, the form print is truncated towards right."

  • Why do theme images are shift to the right?

I have downloaded several themes (personas). When I look at the picture on the add-on site the main object is usually in the center of the picture. When I download it (or even hover over it to see how it looks on my browser) the image is always shifted so the main object is at the right side. This even happens when the main object is at the left side of the picture.
Is there anything I can do so that the image is in the same position on the browser as it is in the pictures?

A Persona (lightweight theme) is always attached at the top right position and a good Persona should have been designed with this in mind, so the most important content should be in the top right corner because the left and lower part might not be visible.
Now that you can't easily add extra toolbars to see more of the lower parts this is now more important.

  • First page next to homepage shifts to the right during scrolling to anchor points.

I made a second page exactly the same as the homepage in a different language, but using the new anchor points at this new page does nog give the same effect. It should only be scrolling down, but it shifts also to the right of the browser. I get a scrollingbar at the bottom of my frame. The homepage does not get all this unwanted extras. This is the URL: http://changer.businesscatalyst.com/english.html#homenews

I had this problem 2 times with 2 different websites. Only could solve it by beginning a new file, copy pasting all elements adding new achors.
You should find this issue on this forum as I posted it before.

  • Sound shifts to the right side of IPod

Greetings. I'd like to know if anyone has run into this problem with their IPod:
While I am listening to music, a podcast or watching a video on my Video 60GB Ipod, quite to often now the balance of sound will move to the right side. Sometimes the sound is totally in the right ear only, sometimes I get partial sound in the left...but it is not balanced.
I am using Windows: version 1.2.1, Model MA003LL of the ipod.
If I sync my Ipod to Itunes then the problem will correct. Or just recently at the beach I let the IPod sit untouched for 15 minutes and when I went back to it the balance was normal.
I have tried switching earbuds, but the problem remains the same. This feels like a bug, not a hardware issue. Am I wrong? Is this a known bug with version 1.2.1? Should I take this back to the Apple store?
PC at the moment; ready to become a switcher   Windows XP Pro

It's a strange problem. When it happens, either the balance of sounds suddenly shifts all the way to the right side
or it sometimes leaves a fraction of sound in the left side and most of the sound to the right, but the vocals will not be balanced and will remain to the right.
I spoke to a Mac Genius and he has me performing a restore to the IPod with ITunes. So far (three days) this problem has not occured. Right now it appears to be a software problem (not a bug in 1.2.1) and not hardware.
