Dock has weird shadows when using custom icons.

I have only had this problem since I started using my own custom icons.
I can delete the icon from the Dock package contents but then there is no icon at all and thus no shadow.
I can put the original finder icon back in and sometimes I get a weird shadow and sometimes I don't.
I am using simply custom icons not CandyBar or any other 3rd party software.
Help please.

I have teh same problem! can anyone help us?

  • Interactive Report - search does not work when using custom authentication

    Apex 3.2.x
I can authenticate fine with my custom authentication and all of my pages work okay except for one page that uses the Interactive Report feature. When I click 'Filter' then enter the column name, operation (contains, =, like, etc.) and the expression, then click the 'Apply' button, the page just re-displays and my filter information is missing?
If I first login to Apex, select and run my application, the Interactive Report features work just fine. What's missing?

    More information:
After login into my Apex workspace (development environment), when I display the Interactive Report and click debug I see this debug message:
    "using existing session report settings"
When I login using my application's custom authentication and click debug I see this debug message:
"creating session report settings as copy of public saved report"
Based on this, it appears that my session info in not set correctly when using custom authentication... but I'm not sure what needs to be set.

My iPhone 3Gs has started crashing when using apps once the battery gets down to around 80%. Sometimes it will reboot on its own, and other times you have to leave it for an hour or so and then manually turn the phone on again. Any ideas?

Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes up again?

  • Dock hiding/magnification issue when using two mice.

Hello.  I purchased and installed 10.7 Lion today on a freshly reformatted iMac (2.8 ghz, original aluminum) and I am having a very strange issue with the Dock.
My business setup requires me to use a KVM switch so that I can use my PC and my Mac at the same time.  I have two separate monitors, so the display is not handled through this switch.  I have one keyboard that is handled through this switch, and one mouse: the Cyborg RAT 7.
I have a second mouse, the Apple Magic Mouse, hooked up to the iMac only through Bluetooth.  Because of this setup, I have both the RAT 7 and the Magic Mouse capable of controlling the cursor on OS X when the KVM switch is set to Mac.
However, when both mice are connected the dock becomes completely unusable:
Normally I have the dock Hidden and with Magnification turned on.  However, the hiding doesn't work. If I move the cursor to the bottom of the screen, I have to click to get the dock to appear. This "magnifies" the icon that the cursor is over, but nothing else magnifies when I move over it and the dock does not re-hide when the cursor is moved off and will only re-hide once I've clicked elsewhere. When I right click on something in the dock, the options in the right click menu do not highlight like they are supposed to.  This highlighting issue applies on the top bar's icons as well.
I have had this glitch happen occasionally on Snow Leopard, and in that case I would simply relaunch Finder and all would be well.  This does not fix this issue.
What does fix this issue is removing one of the mice.  If I unplug the RAT 7 from the KVM switch, the dock works perfectly using the Magic Mouse.  If I turn off the Magic Mouse, the dock works perfectly using the RAT 7.  I have tried connecting the RAT 7 directly through USB, bypassing the switch, and I have the same issue.
Is there perhaps an option in Lion that has multi-mouse support turned off somehow?  I can move the cursor fine with both mice attached, but the dock is simply unusable with both.
Any information on this strange issue would be most appreciated.
    Thank you for your time.

  • XY graph has 'negative colors' when used on PC with XP

I built an application with windows 2000. I have distributed it. One customer using XP has found that when the XY graph begins to plot the background and gridline colors swap from black to white and visa versa. We have tried our program on an XP machine here, and can not replicate the problem

This sounds like an issue with the graphics driver on that XP machine. I've seen all kind of weird issues due to driver bugs.
Is this an older video card? See if there is a new driver available for XP. They might also want to try other display settings e.g. 32bit color, 24bit color, 16bit color.
Also try to temporarily reduce the graphics acceleration (display control panel..settings..advanced..troubleshooting) by a click or two. Any improvement?

  • When use custom authetication it shows some characters on screen after logo

    Dear All,
I have developed a application and use custom authentication schema for that. It works fine on my local pc and then I have moved it to another pc (export and then import) it works fine on that as well.
Now I have moved it to the production server. When authentication failed it shows error message and stay in log on page. But when I provide the correct user name and password, then it shows multiple occurance of login url in page body.
Did anyone has any idea about this.
When authenticate success I get below output.

  • Strange problem when using custom authentication schema

    Hello,
I'm building a custom authentication system for the application. Basically, I followed the blog post from Martin: http://www.talkapex.com/2009/03/custom-authentication-status.html
However, the authentication seems working fine at the beginning when running the page 101 from Application Builder and log in, but when I log out from the application (redirect back to page 101) and try to log in with the same credentials, it gives error message "Invalid Login Credentials ". Also, when the application is accessed from public (open page 101 directly using another computer), the authentication doesn't work at all.
Furthermore, I checked the table apex_workspace_access_log and found out that it has "AUTH_SUCCESS" even if using the fake credentials and the login failed (I use "apex_util.set_authentication_result (p_code => 3);" when auth function return false).
I couldn't find the cause of the problem, then I created the same custom authentication in apex.oracle.com. The problem doesn't appear anymore. To make sure they are same, I have double checked the custom authentication in both the development environment and the apex.oracle.com.
This is very strange to me and I don't know where to looking for the problem. Could you give me some advice of what may cause this problem. Thanks in advance!

I found the problem myself. The cause is the VPD, the account table has VPD policy applied, which prevented public access.

  • Unknown namespace prefix Error - when using custom Aliases with RDF aliases

I am getting unknown namespace prefix error when I use custome SEM_ALIAS with rdf SEM_ALIAS. It seems once you specify custom SEM_ALIAS, the default rdf alias is not recognized. Following are the details of queries
I have a sem_Model "test" which has "event" as a class and "Merger" as a sub-class of event, with "acquiringorg" as a property having the domain "org". "Org" is also defined as a class with the literal attribute "hasname". I have added one instance of "merger" class with appropriate values for "acquiringorg" property. There is one instance or "Org" as well for reference in the instance above.
the following query(return all objects having property "acquiringorg" and its .e. "hasName" attribute for the object) runs fine and returns appropriate resultset
    select x event,z acquiringorg ,l acquireeorg from table(SEM_MATCH(
    '(?x Evnt:AcquiringOrg ?y)(?k orgn:hasName ?l)',
    SEM_MODELS('test'),
    null,
    SEM_ALIASES(SEM_ALIAS('Evnt','http://www.abc.com/Event/Merger/'),
    SEM_ALIAS('orgn','http://www.abc.com/Org/')),
    null));
However when I want to add another criteria i.e. show me events of type merger(?x rdf:type :Merger) , the query fails with the "unknown namespace prefix error" as above
    select x event,z acquiringorg ,l acquireeorg from table(SEM_MATCH(
    '(?x rdf:type :Merger)(?x Evnt:AcquiringOrg ?y)(?k orgn:hasName ?l)',
    SEM_MODELS('test'),
    null,
    SEM_ALIASES(SEM_ALIAS('Evnt','http://www.abc.com/Event/Merger/'),
    SEM_ALIAS('orgn','http://www.abc.com/Org/')),
    null));
specifying "rdf" ALIAS explicitly also does not work
    select x event,z acquiringorg ,l acquireeorg from table(SEM_MATCH(
    '(?x rdf:type :Merger)(?x Evnt:AcquiringOrg ?y)(?k orgn:hasName ?l)',
    SEM_MODELS('test'),
    null,
    SEM_ALIASES(_SEM_ALIAS('rdf', 'http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#'),_
    SEM_ALIAS('Evnt','http://www.abc.com/Event/Merger/'),
    SEM_ALIAS('orgn','http://www.abc.com/Org/')),
    null));

  • [Solved] X11 has purple tint when using catalyst-test drivers

Hey guys, so I turned the TV on for my HTPC last night hoping to watch some anime. But when it turned on the screen had a purple tint! I tried to do some debugging over SSH from my phone while in bed, but decided to just go to sleep instead.
Tonight I narrowed down the problem a bit, it's certainly related to the catalyst drivers (No problems when using xf86-video-ati).
I'm noticing warnings from various programs that look like
libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
Taking a screenshot using `scrot` and viewing it the screen looks fine..
Here's my xorg.conf (which is just the default genearted by aticonfig --initial)
    Section "ServerLayout"
    Identifier "aticonfig Layout"
    Screen 0 "aticonfig-Screen[0]-0" 0 0
    EndSection
    Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "aticonfig-Monitor[0]-0"

    DefaultDepth 24
    SubSection "Display"
    Viewport 0 0
    Depth 24
    EndSubSection
    EndSection
I suspected that it might have been a package upgrade, but downgrading packages that looked like they might have been the problem didn't solve anything.
    Any ideas?
Edit: Just tried with xorg1.13 with Catalyst 13.4 (stable).. same problem.
Edit 2: After starting and then stopping X this problem happens in the framebuffer too.. hmmm (It doesn't happen during boot time or during initial login, it's not a bad cable connection!)
Edit 3: The problem does not occur when using the VGA d-sub output, only when using the HDMI output

This was fixed by changing the "Pixel Format" in the catalyst control center to "RGB (Full RGB)".. Somehow it got changed to "YcBcr".
I removed the /etc/ati/amdpcsdb file that the fglrx driver likes to put settings in and did a fresh reinstall of catalyst-test and everything looks good now. Really no idea how the pixel profile got changed. Also noticed that my resolution was much lower than it should have been (which for some reason doesn't affect XBMC which runs in native resolution no matter what?), but that was an easy fix of adding Mode "1920x1080" to my Display section in xorg.

  • REPOST:Timing does not show up when using custom templates

    all,
When I create an unstructured template and use it in a report with show timing set to true, the timing does not show up.
    any tips

    Correcting my previous reply,
Timing will NOT show if you are using custom template.

  • "Type mismatch" error in IE7/8 when using custom Actions Menu Image

    Hi all,
in APEX 4.2: when using a custom image in the "Actions Menu Image" attribute in an interactive report, I get a "Type mismatch" error in IE7/8 when refreshing the report through PPR (filtering, sorting, paginating etc.). When I leave the "Actions Menu Image" field empty, everything works fine. The error doesn't seem to happen in IE9 (unless using compatibility mode), or in any non-IE browser.
I've been able to reproduce the issue in an application on apex.oracle.com:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=69347:1
Some debugging seems to indicate that the following line in widget.interactiveReport.js is the culprit:
lTemp.parentNode.replaceChild($x('apexir_WORKSHEET'), lTemp);Does anybody know if this is a known issue, or if there is some workaround?
    Thanks,
    Tobias

    Hi,
Great solution Paul! It cost me a while before I found out the Action Menu Image was causing my interactive reports to stop refreshing in IE10 and not other browsers. Your solution works great, I've implemented it with a few minor adjustments:
    - Put the css in report template (for some reason it didn't work in our own application stylesheet)
    - replace  'url("/c/action_dropdown.gif")' with 'url("&APP_IMAGE_PREFIX./<path_to_image>")'
    - place one dynamic action on page 0: after refresh of '#apexir_DATA_PANEL' , set event scope to "Dynamic".
    - Let the Dynamic action also fire on page load.
    - To make sure the dynamic action only works for pages with an interactive report add condition of type 'Exists' with expression:
    select 1
    from   dual
    where  :APP_PAGE_ID in (select page_id
                                            from   apex_application_page_ir
                                            where  application_id = :APP_ID

  • Windows 7 VM has DNS Problem When Using Wireless

    Hello All,
I've been fighting this virtual machine networking problem for over a week now. If anyone has a well-informed suggestion (not a guess) I would appreciate hearing about it.
Here's the problem in a nutshell and then I'll give more details: I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) as my primary (i.e., host) OS. I'm running Windows 7 Home Professional (32 bit) as the guest OS in "Windows Virtual PC" (note that this is *not* the same as "Virtual PC 2007"). If I configure the VM to use my host's wired Ethernet connection, the guest OS can always see the machines on my local network and can always reach the Internet just fine. On the other hand, if I configure the VM to use only my host's wireless connection then the guest OS can still see machines on my local network but CANNOT reach the Internet, except very intermittently (e.g., for maybe 1-2 minutes every hour or so).
I've tried to anticipate the questions you might ask so here is some additional information:
The computer is a Lenovo W500 laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit. The wireless network adapter is an "Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN".
My Internet connection is via AT&T DSL using a wire2 wireless modem/router.
I have all the updates from Microsoft and Lenovo for this machine. It is 100% up to date with the latest patches and drivers.
I'm running the 64-bit version (or at least I used the 64 bit installer) of "Windows Virtual PC" which I downloaded  from this link.
I am *not* running and I did not download "XP Mode".
When the guest OS loses it's connection to the Internet the following message appears in the Windows Event Log:
"Name resolution for the name address.yahoo.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded."
I am able to ping an external machines outside my network but only if I use the IP address. If I specify the host name it cannot be resolved.
ARE YOU GETTING THE IMPRRESSION THIS IS A DNS PROBLEM??? It looks like I do not have access to a DNS when using the host's wireless connection.
On the host OS, the "Virtual PC Network Filter Driver" *IS* installed and selected under my "Wireless Network Connection Properties" settings.
Below are the results of running ipconfig on the guest OS and then the host OS. Note that I am able to ping 192.168.1.254 from the host OS but not from the guest OS. I think this is the crux of the problem.
Here's what I get from an ipconfig /all executed on the guest OS:

    Hello,
I am not very familiar wth Microsoft Security Essentials, but believe that it just makes use of the existing Windows Firewall which is present with the operating system.
To me it is odd that the guest OS reports 192.168.1.254 as the IP address for its gateway and DHCP server yet it cannot access them when pinged.  Let's try pinging from host to guest (and vice-versa)  and see what happens:
From the host OS at 192.168.1.78, try pinging the guest OS at 192.168.1.75.
Then, from the guest OS at 192.168.1.75, trying ping the host OS at 192.168.1.78.
Is each operating system able to ping each other?

  • PO PDF errors when using custom RTF Template, but works with custom xsl

    Hi,
I have done following set up steps for PO PDF
Setup / Organizations / Purchasing Options / Control TAB / set 'PO Output Format' = 'PDF'
setup / purchasing / document types / select "Standard Purchase Order" / Set the Document Type Layout to your new template.
But with the RTF template the PO Output for communication completes with error. However when I use custom XSL-FO style sheet, it works.
Can anyone help me how I can make my RTF work? When click on the preview of the template, it shows the PDF output though. Am I missing any other set up steps? Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sharmila

I think the only way to have control over the html output is to enclose the tags or any information within a borderless table and align the text and table as necessary...
