Dock mode

I have had my Rhyme for about a week now and I accidentally changed it out of Dock mode.  Verizon support was not able to help me switch it back.  Anyone know how to get this thing back in Dock mode?

I would be happy to see what we need to do to get the Rhyme out of dock mode.
Switching to Dock Mode
Dock Mode turns HTC Rhyme into a desk clock, photo slideshow viewer, or
music player. You can also set it as a speakerphone when you receive calls
while HTC Rhyme is docked.
1. With the dock plugged in, place HTC Rhyme into the dock.
HTC Rhyme automatically turns on Bluetooth and switches to Dock
Mode.
2. If prompted, choose how you want to use the dock for audio.
To exit Dock Mode, tap the circle with the x in it or remove HTC Rhyme from the dock.
Once that is done what happens? Did it go back to dock mode when plugged back in to the dock station?

My iPhone 4s has been replaced at least 4 times within a year and nobody at the genius bar seems to know what's wrong but every time I plugy phone into my cable that connects my iPhone to the stero in my car and when I disconnect it,  my iPhone think its in dock mode and will not play music or sounds with our being plugged into a dock. However it will occasionally make sounds when a text comes in but that's about it. I really don't know why this happens or how to fix it, HELP!!

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps...  Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • Vision M stays in docked mode. How do I "undock"

Hi. Just purchased my Vision M yesterday. When I connect it to my Media Center PC, the PC recognizes the Vision and it immediately goes into "docked" mode. At that point I can sync it with media center, use the vision explorer, etc. My question is... The manual says not to disconnect it while in "docked" mode, but even once I've exited windows media player, mediasource, vision media explorer, it stays in "docked" mode. I ended up disconnecting it anyway and it just said "updating" briefly and then appears to funtion normally. I'm just afraid of damaging the Vision by disconnecting it while it says "docked". Is there a way to "undock" it before disconnecting it's
    Thanks!!!
    Kevin

I just got mine too. I think the "docked" mode refers to when you are transferring data and not when it is doing nothing. The symbol in the middle only moves when it's transfering data. I hope so, because I keep taking mine out of the dock without any adverse effects !! .

  • IPhone 4S 6.1.3 stuck in dock mode

As the title says, it's stuck in dock mode so there's no volume bar.
Reboot and restore and trying to clean the phone does nothing.
The only way I can get out is by plugging it in and out of a dock.
So that confirms that it's a software issue, thanks Apple.
I think I've been having this issue since I hit iOS6 months back.
However, I don't have dock nearby because it's packed up during
the move. Is there any other fix before my phone meets my fist?

    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup...  Restore as New...
    Restart / Reset
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    Backing up, Updating and Restoring
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you try all these steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...
Be sure to make an appointment first...

  • My iPhone is stuck on dock mode

A few days ago, my iPhone 4 had no sounds (lock/unlock, messages, reminders, keypad, etc) except when someone calls.  When playing music, the volume bar below disappears as if connected to the dock.  It sometimes works fine, and then it goes to dock mode again by itself.
I've tried re setting it, cleaned the dock in my phone, etc. Nothing works!
It charges fine, and exchanges data with iTunes as well. When I connect it to my Bose speakers, it's not on dock mode anymore, but when I unplug it from the Bose speakers, it goes back to dock mode.
Can anyone help me with this please?!

    Hi All,
I had this Sound / Speaker issue too on my iPhone 4S, with only Ringtone & Headphones working and no other sound coming despite several software hacks and solutions read on forums here. I managed to solve it today after reading online for a perfect solution.
This seems to be a fairly frequent problem amongst users who are using 3rd party (Cheap Chinese) dock connectors or chargers. There is some residue on the charging connector and hence it seems to be stuck in Dock/Headphone mode. I personally had this issue that only Ringtone and Headphone were working. I cleared some stuck particles from the dock connector in iPhone below and voila ! Sound works perfectly. Try it using a cotton bud / swab with removed cotton or I did it with inverted metal paper clip carefully avoiding to scrap and destroy the PCB board. (Other common solution was to remove water particles from headphone hole but I didnt have any)
    All the best,
    Cheers !

  • IPad stuck in docking mode

    Hi community, hi all,
i have a problem with my iPad (first ... sry for my bad english ... i'm not a native speaker).
    Following issue:
My iPad stuck in Docking Mode. Means i get no access to volume keys or to volume bar in the multi tasking section. The volume bar there is empty. So my iPad doesnt play any sound ...
But when i plug in earphones or when i connect my iPad to a bluetooth speaker sound is playing. And when i plug in the iPad into the docking station and pull it off (plug out... doesnt know the word).... then sound comes out of the build in speakers for about 1-2 seconds ... afterwards iPad return into docking mode and sound is away.
    What i have done ....
    ... i rebooted
    ... i hard reseted it
    ... i do a factory reset
Nothing work... but it seems to me like a software failure... dont know.
Next issue is that i have no warranty left for exchange at an apple store...
    Any ideas from you?
    Thanks for any response.
    best regards

I had resolved this issue by myself.
I thought long time about it... and then i got following idea.
I thought ... mybe there is something in the connector which think ipad is already plugged into a docking station.
    This helps me....
my idea was .... another product with another behavior to the iPad. So i take my iPad Camera Connection Kit... i stuck it into the connector leave it for several minutes ... and removed it.
My iPad turned back in normal mode ... All god. My internal speaker works again. Wuhuuuuu ... Maybe this solution would help somebody.

  • Dock mode while using magnetic charging

I've noticed that whenever I connect my phoine to a magnetic dock, my phone sorts of changes mode. I.E im using the app Themer, and whenever I connect my phone Themer restarts. It can get especially irritating at times, espeically when it interrupts what im doing, such as gaming.
Is there an option anywhere to turn off the magnetic charging dock mode? I've looked everywhere but nobody else seem to be mentioning the issue or providing any solutions for it.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I'm afraid it's not possible to disable this behaviour. It's up to the app in this case to handle the change in device configuration: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/runtime-changes.html

  • Dock mode?  HELP

My phone keeps going into Dock Mode.  I have disabled car mode, pulled out the battery, tried to clean out the plug for the charger.  It makes all my calls go to speaker phone, closes apps and texts when I am in the middle of using them and just makes my phone pretty much unusable.  And now it randomly keeps shutting all sound off, but says its in normal mode so I miss tons of calls.
I have only the the phone for 4 months and I'm ready to throw it out the window.  Any help?

Hi megmza,  Let's get your phone back to normal!  Can you clarify your current software version? Menu>Settings>About Phone>Software information.  Do you typically use a car charger?  If so, was this a charger purchased from Verizon Wireless?  I am eager to troubleshoot and get this resolved!
    Thank you,

  • Rezound dock mode

I had a problem with my rezound dock mode. It stopped working..the app mysteriously disappeared?? Anyway, I downloaded it from Google Play Store. It does not have the default wallpaper that it origianlly had. I know it sounds stupid, but I liked it and want to use it again.Anyone have any advise as to "getting it back"?

I also lost my dock mode last week for the HTC desktop dock. I do know how to activate it manually and the setting to automatically launch dock mode is checked. Incidentally, the the Auto app still activates when in the HTC car dock. Just the desktop dock app fails to activate when the device is placed in the dock.
I can't find the app you described in the Play Store. Is it an HTC app?
I'm interested in figuring our what made this suddenly fail, as it seems software related.  If it's an app that I installed that killed it, it would be good to know and to post about it so someone else can avoid this problem

  • Start Help Topic Window in Dock mode

I'm new to OHJ and converting a documentation from JavaHelp to Oracle Help Java.
I wonder how it is possible to open the Help Navigator together with the Topic Window docked? By default there is now Topic Window when oracle.java.Help is shown with "showNavigator". I would like to have it docked with an introduction page. How do I do that?
    Thanks for any help!

The following error has nothing to do with running in debug mode?
It just means that there's another process already binded to port 8320
you might want to see the output of netstat -a
BTW, what flags you switched on to run the server in debug mode?

  • Floating/docking mode for panels

    Hey,
I'd like to create a framework of panels that way, so that I am able to switch to a docking/floating mode and be able to separate or adjoin panels - I am not quite sure how it is called in swing - I already checked out the "Creating a GUI with JFC/Swing" tutorial, but as I said I don't know how that feature is called, so I wasn't able to find it.
I appreciate any kind of help :)
    thanks

I completely agree than the toolbars take up too much space.
    So do the
panels. I once took screenshots comparing panel sizes in FH
    5.5 and FHMX.
    http://www.judyarndt.ca/fhmx/panel_width.gif
It bugs me that I have to have the view, color and snap
    dividers in the
toolbox. My toolbar solution, sort of, has been to use the
    Info and Envelope
toolbars as catch-alls for my most-used icons -- align, path
    operations,
Xtras. I fill them up to the full width of my screen.
While I appreciate customizable toolbars, I think the
    programmers tried to
design the interface so that new users could find their way
    around, but gave
little thought to the experienced user who does not need all
    that
hand-holding, and would much prefer to reclaim that wide
    swath of screen
    real estate.

  • IPhone 4s stuck in docked mode...

My iPhone 4s (5.1.1) is stuck in the mode it would be in if it was in a dock: i.e., no sound slider on any playing interface like music or Quicktime, no sound output for any alerts or calls, things like that (just vibration). It also doesn't show any ringer volume level indicator, just the word "ringer" and the speaker icon. So it's stuck thinking it's on a dock. Hard reset doesnt work, havent tried a full restore. HOWEVER, bending the contact in the main port up seems to fix it for a bit, until it bends back down.
Any other way to fix this than bending a slightly important part of my phone - other than taking it into the Store for a probable replacement (as it is obviously a hardware problem?)
    Thanks

    Hi kh@harveyhouse,
If your iPhone is in recovery mode, then you will need to plug your iPhone into a computer with iTunes, and restore it back to its factory settings.  Below are articles that explain more about recovery mode, and how to restore your device.

  • After the Ios 6 update, I have lost my Sound for Music, Tweets. i have restored the phone, tried adjusting the settings, and even have Docked and undocked the Iphone 4S, thinking it might be in Dock mode. Headphones work, Dock plays Sounds. Ideas?

Lost Sound after Ios Upgrade to 6.0.1. All worked before upgrade. Has to be a problem with Software upgrade.
    Tried adjusting Settings. Same Problem
    Tried restoring Phone. Same Problem
Read some Forums. Tried suggestions such as buying an Song from ITUNES, Docking and undocking Device. Same Problem
    Ideas?
Sound will be heard  when Docked or through Headphones. Even Volume Bar doesn't appear either when playing music without Headphones or being docked.
Similar to others, this phone worked 100% prior to the Upgrade to Ios 6.0.1

Do you have the mute switch engaged? It's the little slider over the volume buttons on the side. If you can see orange, it's engaged. Slide it the other way.

  • My iphone wont come out of dock mode

I have an iphone 4S and this problem wants me to get rid of it! I cant listen to my music unless its in a doc or my earphones are plugged in. This happened to my first iphone (which was also a 4S) and apple couldn't figure it out. Any ideas how to fix it without paying $500?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the issue continues, take the device to Apple for evaluation.
As already stated, if out of warranty and a hardware issue exists, Out of Warranty replacement is only $199 for the 4S.
