Dock similar to Droid's multimedia dock

I am looking for an iPhone 3G dock similar to the Motorola Droid's multimedia dock. It hols the phone in landscape mode and displays the time and some other information.
I suspect that for the iPhone it would be a combination of an app and the dock.
Anyone know of a dock like this?

Thanks

I agree with you and you make a good point. Though on the other hand my iPhone has been able to replace so make devices that I would normally have to have around that replacing one more just seems attractive to me
But to your point, if my display died because I didn't use a $10 alarm clock I'd be pretty ticked off at myself

  • Multimedia docking station

Does anyone else have a difficulty placing their Droid X into the multimedia docking station? I have no problem at all when I place the Droid X into the car docking station, with that it just slides right in. However, with the multimedia I feel as if I am going to break the Droid X. I've read that you have to angle it so that the connection go in first but even that causes problems in tryin to fit the Droid into the docking station.
Did Motorola truly test the docking station before distrubing it out?
I mean I should not have to waste time trying to fit the Droid X into this docking station.
It appears that the HDMI connector is the cause of the problem.

I too had a little trouble getting my "X" into the docking station for about the first week.  I kept trying different ways to get the phone into the docking station and finally found a way that worked for me.  I tip the phone slightly forward from the angle the phone dock will eventually have in the dock.  Then with the left edge of the phone up against the left side of the dock the two connectors line up between the dock and the phone, then with a little downward pressure and leaning the phone back torwards it's final angle in the dock, the phone snaps into place.
I like the dock more than I thought I would when I bought it.  It sits on my desk with a nice sized digital clock and the ability to answer and talk on the phone without removing it fron the dock.  Oh, and it charges the battery at the same time!
I now worry that when I get a 4G LTE phone, if it's not a Motorola product, (like the Droid Bionic) I won't have a nicedesk dock similar to this one that I have come to appreciate so much......

  • Multimedia dock for Xperia s

    Hi,
I'm looking for a dock with audio outfor Xperia S.Does exist something like that? Is this one suitable? http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/products/accessories/multimedia-dock-dk300/
    Tnx!

We don't provide any accessory that enables this for Xperia S unfortunately. The one in your link (DK300) is only compatible with Xperia Play. There are however several third party products which enables wireless audio transfer via bluetooth.

  • Blackberry Z10 Multimedia Dock

    Hi All
I came across the following post:
    http://n4bb.com/hands-blackberry-z10-multimedia-dock/
It looks to be a fantastic device but nobody seems to know if and when it is actually going to be released. Would anybody from Blackberry be able to shed some light on this? The Z10 was released some time ago so there should already be one of these available.
I mean I'm planning on getting my Z10 in a few weeks' time and it looks like I might have to just get a USB dock and modify it for the Micro HDMI which honestly, I would prefer to not have to do.
An OEM Multimedia Dock would be the best thing since sliced bread, I can just connect it all up to my TV and use my bluetooth mouse and keyboard and do all I want from there.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to do that with the modified one but I would just prefer an OEM one!
Please get back to me as soon as possible, Blackberry Support.
    Regards
    Tyrone

    hello Tyrone,
first, this is not the BlackBerry Support. This is a community forum, and we do support as much as we can. But in the end we are just BlackBerry owners like you.
Now, to answer your question, I only have a rumor, that says that that BlackBerry dock will not be released before the Z10 has a full landscape mode (meaning at least for the ActiveFrames and the apps icons).
    That being said:
    1) I don't know how true this rumor is, but I find it logical.
    2) I also don't know when that landscape mode will be available for the Z10, but it seems it will not be available in OS 10.2 which should come in aug/sept.

  • Since downloading ios 6 my iPhone 4 will not play itunes when docked - plays ok when not on dock.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Since downloading ios 6 my iPhone 4 will not play itunes when docked - plays ok when not on dock.  Has anyone else had this problem?

At least I'm not the only one with the issue. I was looking it up so see if others had the same problem and found a bunch of posts about it. I'm assuming it's not the phone then, it's the software. Should I bring it to the Apple Store? Replacing the phone seems stupid, because the phone isn't really the problem. It's the software! Maybe the iOS 5.0.2 will fix it???  I don't really want to wait though, it's a pain. If a lot of people have this issue it should get Apple's attention. They need to do something to fix it, ASAP!

  • Docking open T61p on the Advanced dock powers off the laptop

    Hi,
I have noticed a weird problem with using the T61p with the advanced docking station. I undock the laptop and then close it, so that it goes into hibernate mode. Then a few hours later, if I open the laptop and work on it undocked. After that if I dock the laptop without going into hibernate, the laptop just powers off, i.e. as if the Power off button was kept pressed.
The laptop does not give the OS the shutdown command, just switches the device off. I am running Win XP professional.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue? This causes all work to be lost, when the laptop is docked.
    Thanks in advance.

    Ivan.

  • Droid HTC Incredible Multimedia Docking Station?

I love the Motorola Droid mulitmedia docking station that is available for that phone... Does anyone know of a good system available for the Incredible?  Or is there talk about them creating one?  Thanks for help- Stacey

Although I would enjoy a nice "dock" station. I have a feeling that the recent or forever backorder problems changed the way this phone will be looked at forever. A phone that could have had the potential for tons of accessories was crippled by the lack of owners, and now newer and better phones are coming out for companies to make accessories for. Leaving all of us "few" owners to wonder when the cool accessories come out.
I have to believe that this phone is awesome and it's unfortunate that it never got the boost it deserves. Its still a good phone. I just can't get my hopes up when I see all these other phones coming out.
Oh well.... like I said its still good.
And i guess people are canceling Incredible orders for the X. Guess I would also. That just means even less Incred owners.

  • Safe to leave phone (turned off) in multimedia dock for several days?

If my Droid X is turned off and I do not need to use it (literally do not need to turn it on) for several days, is it okay to leave it in the multimedia desktop dock (or whatever it is called)?
Similarly, is it okay to leave it plugged in to the wall charger?
I believe that some of these devices, if not the phone itself, are designed to slow down the charge as the battery comes closer to full charge, and then to turn off charging until the battery charge goes down (either do to use or lack of use over time), in which case it starts charging again, but only a little if it is near a full charge. I doubt that charging through the USB cable has this effect (unless it is built into the phone or the motodrivers that the phone autoinstalls on the computer the first time you connect it with a USB cable for any reason).
So are any or all of these 3 things safe to leave connected when my Droid X is turned off for several days on a full charge: 1) multimedia desk dock, 2) wall charger, and/or 3) USB cable?

Yes, once you'r phone reaches 100% charge it will stop charging.  The problem is that if it is turned off, it will not automatically start charging again, it will need to either be turned on, or unplugged and plugged back in.  However, since you have a new battery, a phone turned off will not drain your battery much even over an extended period of time such as a week.

It is a great accessory. I am using it for charging and playing videos on my projector. I wish touch events would work with bluetooth mouse when playing games.

  • Car Dock for Samsung Droid?

I am considering upgrading from my OG Droid1 to a new phone and the Charge has my interest.  I do not, however, see a car dock accesory in the online Verizon store just as I did not see any car docks available for the TB in any of my local Verizon stores.  The turn-by-turn voice navigation through Google is something that I use daily and cannot give up this if there is not a dock available for the car.  I also like that my Droid1 car dock uses a magnet to detect that it is in the dock and automatically puts the phone in car mode.  Does the Charge do this?  Does anyone have experience or an answer to this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Tara

If you follow my link you will see that it is made by Samsung. Not sure how much more of a manufacture you can get.
    curlysgirly wrote:
Hi, thanks for your reply.  I referred to the TB in this post (not typographically incorrect) because it was another phone I was interested in upgrading to but cannot find the car mount for that phone in stock in any of our local stores (tried about 4).  I usually do not like aftermarket products and like to stick to one created by the manufacturer.  Since the car mount is something that I use constantly (in my car more than I am home), I would not like being without one.  Also a "car home" screen and the ability to use my phone as a GPS with Google Nav is very important to me.  Just a feature that I am so used to and now couldn't live without
Does the Samsung product have the "magnet" in it to make the phone automatically switch to the "car home" screen or something like it?
    Thanks!

  • New docking stations Basic, Pro and Ultra Docks

    Hi All,
Im new to these forums but wanted to see if any one else had had experience with the new docking stations. I just upgraded to a T440s which needed the new docking station... I had to get two of them for home and work. They are SO hard to put the PC in compared to the old series 3 docks for my old T410s... those things you did not even need to look when you put the PC down.. they just sliped in.. but the new ones, OMG each morning it takes me several tried to get them to dock.. I am thinking I am damaging the PC when I attempt to do this..
That being said, i am still a fan over EVERYTHING lenovo...
Any one else had similar experiences?
    Tom

Hi All, I just received my T440s along with the new Ultra Dock.  I have the T440s in the dock and connected to my TV used as monitor using HDMI cable.  I hit f7 and can do "PC screen/extend/duplicate/2nd screen only, no problem.  I chose the 2nd screen only for my work.  Then I finished work and close the lid but when I come back to restart the laptop, I can only see the display on the laptop and no matter how I toggle using f7, I cannot display anything on my TV.  The only way I can get back on track (2nd screen only mode) is to un-dock my laptop and hit f7 again.  I never experienced this with my T410 using the older dock.  Please help.

  • My Ipod Touch is giving a error message of 'This accessory is not supported by iPod Touch' whenever I dock it in my Bose Sound Dock and refuses to play but will charge the device?? am screaming mad and want to be able to play audio thru using the 2

my ipod touch will not play music thru the Bose sound dock and displays the message 'this accessory is not supported by iPod Touch' how can I fix it?

"This accessory is not supported" usually refers to an inability to charge the iPod, but the music should still play throguh the Bose dock. My iPod Touch works this way.
However, when the Bose refuses to make any sound, I unplug it from mains power for one minute. Then plug it back in and try again. This always sorts out the sound issue, but of course, it still will not charg the Touch.
    What happens in your case?

  • Is there any way to have a clear or transparent dock. Or to change the dock at all I would love to see that!

It is exasperating that the iPhone dock cannot be adjusted in any way. I would love to see a transparency slider or a few style choices. C'mon apple. This makes sense!

  • Removing 3D Dock Reflection and/or Changing 2D Dock Background Color

Has anyone figured out a way to do either (or both) of the following:
-remove reflections from the 3D dock
-adjust the dark gray color of the 2D dock
? This is the last step I need to make the Dock visually tolerable for me. It would seem that both are not possible, but perhaps there's a defaults write to make these changes somewhere?

Go to MacOSXHints and do a search on "Leopard Dock"--you'll find lots of ideas for changing things in the Dock. There's even a discussion of using the Tiger Dock. I don't think I would try that....the 2D appearance has actually begun to grow on me, and Rainer Brockerhoff's Quay will give you the hierarchical folder menus.
