Dock uses icon of first item in folder rather than folder's own icon. Fix??

I have a folder with its own custom icon. When I drag that folder to the right hand end of the dock (mine is set horizontally), Mavericks insists on setting the dock icon for that folder to the icon of the first item (alphabetically) in the folder, rather than the icon for the folder itself. How do I fix this??

Thanks for your reply. It's already displayed as a folder, but this has nothing to do with how the contents are displayed when I click the icon in the Dock. I'm talking about the icon that the Dock shows for my folder. Changing the display options has no effect on that.
If I drag a new, empty folder from the Finder to the Dock, it has the standard OS X folder icon in the dock. But as soon as I drag things into that folder (in the Finder), the dock icon changes to the icon for the first item in the folder. Even if I paste a custom icon into the folder's Get Info window in the Finder, the Dock ignores this and uses the icon for the first item in the folder.

the sid are used instead of the data in order to avoid the redunduncy of data.
and reduce the datastorage size.
the data will be present in the sid table and the data is linked used the corerponding sid in the dimension.

Once the data is copied to PO from SC (from Cockpit) while creating a PO.
If buyer / purchaser can edit the copied data in PO and If he changes the product category in the PO other than SC.
As per the SAP SRM Standard Functionality
1) System always over rides buyer edited data over copied data in the PO ( I Mean priority for purchaser edited data). This is logical also. because, the SC creator may not have complete knowledge on the Prodcut category and purchase data like Purchaser / Buyer has.
2) System always check the prodcut category used in PO with the Prodcut category used in Contract. Not with the Contaract Prodcut Category V/S Shopping cart Prodcut Category.

We are doing one test project in which our source data is Flat Files. We want to load into DSO and InfoCube. Then our next step will be MultiProvider and produce reports on MultiProvider. Can you please clarify?

Hi, check in Proposal tab, you need to check if the field
types and lengths are correct (If they match the file you have or will receive).In some cases, the proposal will not be accurate, and you will need to adjustthe fields type and length on the fields tab. This is the case with the field length and type.

Using WRE to send a wireless signal rather than expand a signal

Hi all, I'm hoping you might be able to help me out on this. I have a Linksys router and a WRE. The router does not have wireless, but i was curious if it's possible to trunk the router to the WRE, and have it send out a wireless signal, rather than pick up on and expand an existing signal. If so, what would i have to do to achieve this.

If the router does not have Wireless then you cannot use your Range Expander...In other word's, what you want to establish is not possible with the Range Expander...
However, this is possible with a Wireless Access Point(WAP54G)...You can connect an Access Point(WAP54G) to your router to send a Wireless Signal...

Using JSP based PCR forms in ERP2005 rather than Adobe interactive forms

We are currently upgrading from EP5.0 business package 50 to EP7.0 with ERP2005 (ECC 6.0) and are trying to configure our existing custom personal change request forms with our scenarios.
Originally our custom PCR scenarios where JSP iView and we are hoping to use these again as part of ERP2005. The customisation seems to support this transaction QISESCENARIO for each scenario you have the option Entry Type in Web and you can set it to Entry Using JSP iView. We can configure the internet link and the portal component also for our JSP view.
When we try to run this however we get the exception No Adobe Form Is Assigned to the Scenario. After a quick debug it seems that you always need the Adobe form to be configured.
None of the documentation for ERP2005 suggests that you can use anything other than Adobe forms, which contradicts the configuration in QISESCENARIO.
The ISR cookbook (written July 2004) details the creation and configuration of JSP request forms but not what versions they are compatible with.
Developing you own PCRs for ERP2004 (Cant find an ERP 2005 version) does not mention JSP iViews at all.
The release notes for ERP2005 dont give this a specific mention.
So, my question is are the use of JSP based request forms permitted with ERP2005 ?

Interesting - I have a similar issue. We want to use the Request for Transfer scenario in ERP 2005, but it has not been developed in Adobe forms by SAP yet (it isn't available in 2004 either)! So, we have decided to use the old JSP PCRs instead.
Your issue is probably because you're using the same 2005 iviews to create your PCRs. The 2005 PCR iviews are written in WebDynpro, and appear to assume that each one will be an Adobe form! If you assign the old PCR iviews to your manager (give them the old MSS role under Migrated Content->EP5.0... in the pcd if you have it installed), you will be able to create a PCR with the JSP forms (regardless of the "Entry in Web" setting in QISRSCENARIO).
The next issue is the approval. In 2005, transaction SWFVISU has task TS50000075 configured as Java Webdynpro. You'll need to change that to iView, and specify ID = com.sap.pct.hcm.isrdispatcher.default. I'm following the UWL item type guide for this at:

Having said this, my approval is not working! The item type has clearly changed, because the workitem name is no longer a hyperlink (rather annoying), but when I hit the "Launch Task Page" button (default name I think) I get the error:
"Unable to perform action because the system returned an invalid URL"
I can't see this "invalid url" anywhere in the logs, so I can't see where it is getting it from, or what path, etc I'm meant to put! In your old system, what did you have as the "Server for ISR call" under "Additional Data for Scenario" in QISRSCENARIO? Also, what did you have in the "URL" box that appears under the Additional Data for Scenario button when you change the Entry Type to JSP?

Is there any specific docs for using iPlanet v5.1 as MTA only rather than as a MTA/IMAP server?

We currently use PMDF on a couple of dedicated boxes as MTA's for our site. Licensing for iPlanet v5 is a little more favorable and a number of the former PMDF developers now work for iPlanet/Sun and these folks were great to work with. I'm reading the admin guide right now but am curious if there is more out there? Or if anyone is doing what I'm looking at doing?

There aren't any documents for installing the MTA portion of IMS only. In fact, out of the box, you can't install just the MTA in IMS 5.1. It may be possible in IMS 5.2.
Currently, you have to install the MTA and the store (which you can later disable). Then you have to configure your mapping and dirsync and so on for the MTA.
MTA configuration isn't drastically different in IMS (though I'm not familiar with SIMS or PMDF previous to IMS) so you will probably feel very comfortable with it after a read through the Admin Guide and the Reference Guide.
If you have a specific question about something in the process, someone could probably provide a little more detail.

There was a way from OS9 location manager to set a default printer for any given location. This is not the case in OSX.
You can however, easily change the default printer in Terminal.app with lpoptions -d PRINTERNAME. To view all the printers type lpstat -p. Keep in mind that the name in lpstat -p may be a little different than the name in Printer Setup Utility. You must use the lpstat -p, PRINTERNAME when changing it in Terminal.app. Of course, if the names are the same, you don't need to worry about it.

We have a Windows NT system with 2 Gb of physical memory and would like to utilize the RAM fully using Labview. What usually occurs is that Labview uses a tremendous amount of page file space while a majority of the physical memory is unused. Is there a way to configure Labview (or our system) to overcome this problem? It seems that our processes would be much faster if they were mainly using the physical memory. Is it possible to trick the system, by creating a RAM disk and allocating this as virtual memory space?

LabVIEW the application doesn't know anything about physical versus
virtual memory. LV asks the OS for general purpose memory and goes
from there.
Drivers like DAQ and IMAQ will have a combination of general user
memory and page lo
cked physical buffers.
I'm not up on the details, but this is something that the OS is in
control of, so that is where you need to look for the solution. One
of the things to look at is the disk cache. By default, I think that
NT takes a percentage of the RAM to use for disk cache. With that
much RAM, this is probably unnecessary and is using too much.
Similarly, the OS may be attempting to keep the working set size
to a fraction of the total RAM to reserve space for other things.
It doesn't make sense to me, but then I don't work for MS.

The iPad does support a USB to Mac connection.. use the Camera Connection kit for iPads 2/3 and the USB connector for iPad 4s or later...to achieve this...
I use USB with apps like TouchOSC without issue...

Using the clip volume envelope to amplify rather than attenuate

Hi everyone,
I was trying to edit the volume envelope of a clip in Multitrack View, and I realised that the volume envelope really only allows you to *attenuate* the volume of a clip throughout its duration, not *amplify* it. In other words, you can only add points on the envelope that are *beneath* the +0dB line, thus decreasing the volume by so-many dB.
Is there a way to also vary to volume of a clip in the other direction, that is - to amplify it, in the Multitrack View?

Presumably because that is the limit set by Adobe for that operation. If you need more than that then you probably need to permanently increase the level of the file in Edit View.
There seems to be, however, a workaround. If, having rescaled the clip envelope to maximum, you Right click and open Clip Properties you will see that Audition has set the Clip Volume to the max of +15dB. If you reset the fader level to 0 you can then go and rescale the Envelopes a second time. This may allow you to get the gain you require. But, as mentioned above, if your levels are that low in the first place I would raise the level of the file permanently in Edit View.

Using Mac to monitor family web traffic rather than A.Extreme

I have two young sons who have various PSP, PS3, Wii and Nintendo DS Consols, which I want to make wireless with my new Airport Extreme. I colleague has told me I can set up a network via my Mac so I can monitor all their internet usage, plus all the websites they go to goes via my Mac and not directly through the AE.
Is this true? If so, how can I set it up.

I'm not sure I understand... as far as I can tell, after enabling Family Sharing and my wife and I now having different iCloud accounts on our phones, Photo Stream does not appear to be shared between us any more. It appears that only the "Family Photos" album is shared, and we have to manually add photos and videos to that.
One of my favourite features of sharing the same iCloud account across multiple devices was that Photostream synced all our family's photos across all devices, no matter who took them. This appears to be a missing feature in Family Sharing for now -- perhaps Apple wasn't aware this was something people were doing?

Databound Combobox - First item changes to previous selection when clicked again

I have just written my first vb.net app using VS2014 and everything is working perfectly except the same weird issue is happening on 2 comboboxs I have...
Basically I have a Vehicles combobox and a Departments combobox (both created by dragging the field from Data Sources after setting it to combobox onto the form creating a databinding). When the user has made their selection they hit a show operations button
which then does things depending on the selections made.
The tables come from a SQL Server.
The sql statement for my Departments TableAdapter is:
SELECT Code, Department
FROM Departments
ORDER BY DisplayOrder
Setup of combobox:
Use Data Bound Items is ticked
Data Source = DepartmentsBindingSource
Display Member = Department
Value Member = Code
Selected Value = (none)
This image show a correct list for the department CB (bored of typing combobox) when it is first clicked.
I select Finishing, then.
This image shows what I get on the second click (which can literally be straight after as though the wrong selection was made the first time - I say this as clicking my Show Operations button has no effect on the behaviour).
Basically the top item changes to be whatever the previous selection was. If I had chosen Construction it would have read Construction, Construction, Finishing.
The same thing is happening on the Vehicles CB - I wont explain that as it is the same as above.
I have been googling this for several hours but cannot find any other example of this issue. I may have done something stupid but hopefully not.
If you could please shed some light on why these combobox's are behaving this way I would be VERY grateful.
I am trying to learn as much as I can so if someone could actually explain why this is doing this rather than just a one line fix (which would be better than no fix at all) it would be appreciated.
Note: I have no code associated with event / index changes on either box in any way. I reference their current values once I have click my Show Operations button.
