I am developing Oracle Documaker for foreign langues for forms specifically Arabic. Does the server need to have the language pack installed as well? I installed the language packs on my desktop for the standard edition.

Yes, you need to install the fonts where Documaker will be running - this includes your desktop as well as any servers. Fonts need to be added to the Font Cross-Reference file (FXR). You may also need to download the fonts to printers if you intend to print documents. You may also need to embed the fonts if you are generating PDF files out of Documaker.

Hi everyone, I am unable to install the language pack which needed for the billingual dictionary to function with, my E90 already have 2 foreign languages including English.
Do I need to remove one of the other language that came with the device because it exceeds 3 or a 4th can also exist? Has anyone done this before or can offer some advice? thanks.

The pre-installed dictionary you are refering to is the simplified chinese dictionary.
I have tried looking for it in the entire nokia website and cant seem to find it anymore, however i found some in the download option on the phone
Its under the Download > Fun & Activity > MOT dictionary > there are a few languages for you to choose from.
However the files on the download may vary from country to country.
You may also try getting it from www.mosh.nokia.com

This is where customers are directed to look for download SAP applications.
If you do, then try this workflow
Go to SMP -> Software Downloads - BusinessObjects Download - Packages and Patches (Link) - C - Crystal Reports Server...

Problem installing Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 Multilingual User Interface Language Packs

I downloaded Windows6.1-KB2483139-x64-en-US.exe but when I ran it on my Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (as Administrator) it does not run properly. I noticed it created a new cabinet file named "lp" briefly, then deleted it. Nothing else
appears on the screen.
My goal is to install Chinese display fonts on my server. Please help.

First of all, if you want Chinese display language, you need to choose chinese in the drop down list on the download page. Here's a direct link in case you need it.

Windows6.1-KB2483139-x64-zh-CN.exe is the file name for the Chinese simplified language pack.
1. The exefile extracts the file cabinet lp.cab which is the file you need to import the language pack.
2. Start lpksetup.exe and Point out the cab-file you just extracted.
If you want to do it with cmdline, you can do it with dism in an elevated command prompt as well:
Dism /online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\test\lp.cab
Note that you still need to create a policy or change default language in some way for your users.

Exchange Server 2010 SP3 Installation with UM Language Pack Error

Kindly help me in this issue, When I Install Exchange Server 2010 SP3, I faced an error in UM role setup as the below,
and when i searched on it i found solution like "Download the UM language packs and tried to install directly" so i downloaded "UMLanguagePack.en-US" from the below URL:

Try remove registry key for the above error :

and after i did it, i found first error be solved and the second error still the same as the below:

I solved the below error by editing in registry:

Solution:
Open regedit (Start -> run), navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ExchangeServer\v14
Under each role, UnifiedMessagingRole, have a look for an action and watermark entry, Delete these 2 keys, and retry. it solve this error, and You can now run the installation again of your "UMLanguagePack.en-US". and its done and installed now.
After "UMLanguagePack.en-US" Installation, i tried to continue installation of Exchange Server 2010 SP3, but I faced the same first error in UM role setup as the below,

The app requires a data base which is an SQL express 2012 Edition. We need to install this on our new DELL PC with Win 8 SIngle language Pack OS.

First,please use Ping command to check the network connectivity.
For the WIndows 8 PC,please check the follow service to ensure this service is start.
SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER)
Also,temporarily disable firewall and other security software to check if that helps

Will Installing a language pack has HIT on Server Performance ?
I have servers in Japanese. But my support team is only English Capable.
Can I install English Language Pack on the server ? and Set Group policy for My support team or use Loopback processing specific to each server ?

How many servers do we have?
We can add other language packs on our servers. We can use the following command to add a language pack to the operating system.
Dism /online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\test\LangPacks\lp.cab

What do you mean by this?
If it means that we want to make users use specific language when they log onto the servers, we can try doing this by editing the following policy:
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Regional and Language Options
Enable
Restricts the UI languages Windows should use for the selected user and choose the language we want

Does server versions has also language pack and system restore function?

do you have also for windows server language pack that you can install and change from language ?if yes from which version of windows it exists and which version of windows has such a function.

Hi Hovhannes,
Windows server 2012 R2 does not have the same windows restore feature as a client OS. You would need to run daily backup of the OS then you would be able to use a version of the system recovery.

Windows Server does also have language packs that you can download depending on the version of the server OS you are looking for and language your require. These can be downloaded from the MSDN site.

Display & Storage of text in Foreign Languages in BI without Language Pack

Hello Everyone,
We have an SAP BI system (7.0 EHP1 SP4) installed. It retreives data from an SAP ECC 6.0 system.
Both systems have the default Language Packs installed, i.e. English and German.
Currently there is a Rollout implementation in progress. Users are able to enter Text against Master data objects such as Vendor in other languages such as russian. It is possible to save such records and they are visible in Master data tables. Moreover, the Language Field is 'EN' . Thus it appears that ECC is able to store Russian Texts without the assistance of a Language Pack.
When we extract the same data into BI, all instances of Russian characters are replaced by '#'. We see this right from the PSA layer till the Infoprovider. in ECC, we are able to see the texts in russian within the Master datasource using Transaction RSA3,
As far as I know all new SAP installations since 2007 are unicode compliant. Our system certainly falls in this category. I am also aware that Language Packs are needed when we need to have menus to be displayed depending on the logon language of the user. We have no such requirement for BI.
Request your help to identify if there is any additional setting in either ECC or BI which will allow BI to accept and maintain texts in Russian and other languages for which no Language Pack is installed.

Are you sure it is Korean you are seeing? Do you know that language? Could you send me a screenshot (tom at bluesky dot org)? Sometimes bad fonts can cause things like this to happen.

Did you install Acrobat from Acrobat Pro EFG installer? If yes, then you can change Acrobat language by following the steps below:
1. Launch Acrobat.
2. Open the Preferences panel from Edit->Preferences.
3. Go to International tab.
4. Change "Application Language" to "Choose at application startup"; click OK.
5. Close and re-launch Acrobat.
Now you will get an option to select the language when Acrobat launches. Choose English.

Korea Media Player Center and Korea Messenger shortcuts without a Language pack?

Greetings all,
After this last round of updates most of our organization received these desktop shortcuts that are typically associated with the Korean Language pack. I confirmed the only Language pack installed is English (United States) and that none of the updates
in the last round included any language packs. I'm curious if anyone else received these without having any of the language packs installed, and if so, any tips on easily removing these shortcuts on a large scale?

For this problem, Firstly, check Windowsupdate.log at Client PC should be helpful withus to find the root cause of this problem.

Language packs: Everything's at 99%

Hi,
I've got WSUS on Server 2012 R2 and 10 Server 2012 R2 servers.
WSUS is quite happily installing all the patches, but they're all stuck at 99% compliance. They're all reporting back that the UK language pack KB2839636 isn't installed.
They all have English-UK set as their default language and display language. KB2839636 doesn't appear in Windows Update.
How can I get this update installed and get 100%?
P.S. I hate language packs :)

Cannot open Language settings from Tile view, and unable to install Language packs from WSUS.

Hi all,
I have a bunch of Windows 2012 R2 servers that have been deployed from a syspreped image where the language has been defaulted to "en-GB", rather than the default "en-US".
I also have a WSUS 3 server running on a Windows 2008r2 machine. This tells me that a number of language packs are required by these 2102r2 machine, namely:
KB2839636 - English (United Kingdom) Language Pack
KB2839636 - English (United States) Language Pack
KB3012997 - English (United Kingdom) Language Pack
KB3012997 - English (United States) Language Pack
These have been approved to be installed on the 2012r2 machine, however, running Window Update on the machines shows nothing. Opening the Control panel, then navigating to "Add Language", then "options", shows no additional updates.
The I tried to search and run the languages control panel directly from the Windows Tile view by simply typing "language" and clicking the 'Language' option in the search results, but then get the following error dialogue box:

How do I fix the problem with trying to open the Language option direct from the tile search view?

CS6 Language Pack German Download - Where?

Hi.
I have downloaded the trial version of the CS6 Design & Web Premium (Mac OS X MountainLion). Unfortunately it only installs the english version. I found a video that describes, how to install a different language pack using the Adobe Application Manager, but although I have updated all installed programs, I do not get the option to access the neccessary settings as discribed (I am no beginner). I guess, the video shows a different version of the AAM - perhaps older.
I will not purchase this product, if I have to learn a different language first to be able to use it. For this price Adobe should be able to provide a simple download link for a language pack without having to watch videos, search the web, search the Adobe FAQs, search 150 help-forums and search the Adobe FTP-server wasting hours and hours of precious time. (If a programmer´s time is worthless, please do not assume, that mine is, too. I totally understand people who simply STEAL the software. The paying customers are definitely highly disadvantaged, if not discriminated.)
Can you provide a german language version of the collection and if, how? And please do not refer to that stupid video.

There are no "language packs". You have completely misunderstood how this works. You pick the correct language in AAM and it will reinstall all the apps in the respective language. That, however, only applies to Creative Cloud. For standalone versions, you need to download the correct language and install it. Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, download the German suite, install it.
