I am connecting my macbook pro to a document camera and the screen on the camera is at a different place then the screen on the computer. They do not show the same thing.

What did the manufacturer's tech support tell you?

School teacher's Thinkpad connected to avervision document camera, and document camera to an overhead projector. Image throught the projector of what's under the document camera is fine. When we want to project what's on the computer screen (movie, etc.), and switch to "computer" on the document camera, the laptop screen goes black, but the projection is visible through the projector. Is there an FN fix or some other way to fix this?

Yes, its an HD sequence, I want to view it in component but I'm using a SDI-Monitor also (which strangely gets an audio signal, but still no video)
I can't find anything like that in the 'Select output processing'-box, even after updating to 9.7.8 (released on Friday)...
It doesn't make any sense to me. Why would it work with AE and BM Media Express but not with Premiere CC?
My BM Decklink is not the newest model, but I don't think thats the problem.
It still seems to be supported by the software and it works with AE.
I'm going to change my graphic card from GTX 780 to NVIDIA quadro, lets see whether that will get me the result I'm hoping for, but tbh I'm giving up...

Cable specification to connect the Document Camera to the CODEC CTS 3010

Hi to all,
I would like to know the cable specification to connect the Document Camera to the CODEC in a CTS 3010 and which way round it needs to go. As I understand it we need a DVI (Camera end) to HDMI (CODEC end) cable plus one CAT5/CAT6 cable. Can you please clarify?

Yes. There are a ton of write-ups on how to do the connections. I connect my m-audio Keystation 61 es through the CCK to my iPad and use GarageBand to control it. Some keyboards require a powered USB hub to make things work. I use a belkin 4 port hub in my own setup. a breeze meeting. I know the camera part won't work well. But some
companies have software and USB connection to the CPU. Thought then
you could use Application Sharing to show the users.

you can browse the images and video with the image capture application. connect and turn on the camera before launching the application. you can then choose which to import. one other thing, does your camera show up as a removable drive? if it does, open it up as you would a folder.

Connecting ipad air to elmo TT-02 document camera

I have an ELMO TT-02 document camera at school. I want to use my iPad aid with the document camera. I will not be using any other computer with the doc. camera and I will not be using the apple tv.The connections on the doc. camera look like the pic below.
The apple lightning digital AV adapter will not work because a video output is too close to the RGB in.
Any suggestions?

Setting up a document camera with Automator

Here's my setup:
I have a document camera stand, tripod, clamp light, all that. My goal is to be able to set a document on the stand, run an Automator script (or AppleScript) and have an image of the document saved as a PDF in a desired folder.
I think I can handle the scripting. My questions:
1) Should I use the "take picture" command in Image Capture? Or a different command in a different bit of software?
2) Is there a list of the current digital cameras that can be controlled via USB in this way? (Extra points if it's a video camera with an image capture option.)

I had a chat with someone from Linksys last night. And they told me that the router was working fine as shown in the screenshots, and I know it works fine on the home network.
He said the problem is that it is behind another router, like you guys pointed out. He said that I need a public IP address and that I need to connect the WRT1600AC directly to the modem.
The problem is that my ISP only gives out the Router/Modem combo piece of **bleep** by Cisco. I think most ISPs these days here in Canada give out those Router/Modem combos.
So the router/modem that my ISP gave me is this one: Cisco DPC3825
Now I have the Linsys router connected to this junk and I don't know if there is anything I can change in the settings to have my IP camera work with the Linksys router or If I will need to buy a separate modem.
I connected my IP camera back to the Router/Modem combo that my ISP gave. The camera is working again, but I wanted it to go through the Linksys router that it would show up in the router settings along with other devices.

Camera Raw not working/errors

Hey! I can't install camera raw. I've seen the same problems on the forum already, but unanswered. I get errors: "This is not the right kind of document" "Camera Raw editing is not enabled" I have creative design suite CS4, also bridge cs6. Ive tried uninstalling reinstalling photoshop. When i try both the camera raw 6_4 and 6_5 camera raw update they say "Update failed". When i try to install the Camera Raw 5.2, it gives me an error "Error opening file for writing: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\AdobeStandard\(all camera types).dcp Click Abort to stop the installation, Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file

ACR is Adobe Camera Raw. To open RAW from T3i you'll need ACR 6.4. But unfortunately you cannot install ACR 6.4 for Photoshop CS4. ACR versions of 6.x is CS5 and above only.
I'd suggest three options:
1. Upgrade to Photoshop CS6. You can now upgrade standalone applications from within Creative Suite. You need not have to upgrade the entire Creative Suite.
2. Get Adobe Lightroom - much cheaper updates and works just fine
3. The most feasible option - Use DNG Converter 6.3 to convert your files, then open them up with Photoshop CS4

I can't import my Camera Archive to final cut pro x

In Final Cut Pro X, when I select Import Media I can navigate to a folder where I have my camera archives on an external drive. But all archives are greyed out and when I try to double click them from the finder, Final Cut Pro X opens but it says it can't read the Final Cut Pro Camera Archive Format.
Exact error:
The document “camera-archive” [actual file name is different] could not be opened. Final Cut Pro cannot open files in the “Final Cut Camera Archive” format.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Do you have Final Cut Events, Projects AND the archive at root level? If so, try hiding the Project and Event folders inside some other folder. Then quit FCPX and restart, or start it up. I know that if you have project and event folders at root level and add a Private folder at root level all **** breaks loose (at least in my experience). I'm not sure that's the case with camera archives so if it's applicable, try the hiding and restart or startup.

Missing Font, But Font Isn't In the Document

Hello,
We're all using FrameMaker 10 on Windows 7.
My client and I are receiving the good old missing fonts error message, specifically:
The "ITC Stone Serif Std Medium Ital Italic" Font is not available.
It will be replaced by "Times New Roman Italic".
The "ITC Stone Sans Std Semibold" Font is not available.
It will be replaced by "Times New Roman".
First, the fonts are installed.
Second, Remember Missing Font Names is turned OFF. (Unchecked, cleared, etc.)
Third, the fonts are NOT in the document. I have saved the document as MIF. I have searched for the font names. Nothing. When I open the MIF file in FM, I don't get an error. But I save it as a .fm file, open it, and I receive the same error messages.
We don't use these fonts. We don't want them in our documents. I'm doing a massive clean up to get rid of old formats. About half of the files do not have any problems, but half do. I have tried everything:
- Generating a list of fonts. If the fonts are found, then I go in and manually apply the Default Para Font. Usually, doing this removes the font from the list of fonts. However, I still get the messages.
- Importing formats from a known good file.
- Editing the MIF, to the point of removing the entire paragraph, character, font, and table catalogs. (I started by deleting references to ITC Stone x, then went on to the more drastic measures.)
- Changing the default printer.
- Copying the text and pasting it into blank files based on known good files.
- I tried editing the maker.ini file to substitute fonts directly, but that didn't work. I may have been doing that wrong, though.
I've got over 10 years of FM experience, and I've never encountered a font problem that editing the MIF couldn't fix.
All of the documents came over from Frame 6. They're all in the same book.
We need to be able to work on the book file as an entity, without having to open the files that contain errors and leave them open.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I found the problem, but I'm not sure why it was a font problem to begin with:
Unresolved cross-references.
FM couldn't open all of the files in the book. Therefore, it couldn't update cross-references. It "thought" cross-references were unresolved.
I figured this out by deleting one page at a time from a Bad file. Then, I deleted one paragraph at a time from the Bad pages to determine that the cross-references were causing the problem.
I was cleaning up the book - deleting paragraph, character, cross-reference, table, and conditional text formats and master and reference pages. I then imported formats from a known Good file. The more files FM could open without errors, the fewer font errors I received. After I was able to generate/update the book, the font errors were gone.
Some of the font calls were on a reference page that was found only in select files. However, one would think that would show up in the MIF.
My best guess is that FM couldn't update the cross-reference formats without updating the cross-references, so it "thought" the text was still in the wrong font. That begs the question: Which came first, the unresolved cross-references or the missing fonts?
Of course, it doesn't explain why FM was complaining about a font that is installed.

Problem with importing a MS Word Document

Hi,
I'm looking for an application that will enable me to stop using MS word. At present I have trial versions of iWork Pages, Mellel and Nisus Writer Pro installed to see how they handle documents originated by MS Word.
I have one such document that opens in MS Word X with seven A4 pages but that opens with only three pages in each of the other applications.
Pages reports the following message on import "Floating Objects inside table cells aren't supported and were removed".
I have tried both Word .doc file and a word generated .RTF file but four pages are always missing. Is there a method of ensuring the complete document is loaded using any of these applications rather than having to load it in MS Word X? The original document came from a windows machine running Word 2003 (I think).

I was able to get this done, after all. I followed the standard Acrobat method, I guess, of adding an interactive object through tools and dragging a space within the document for where I wanted to place the audio.
Not sure why, but when I originally created my acrobat and word documents through MS word, the audio files were not playable either through reader or acrobat, but at least I can add them (they must also be activated) in Acrobat.

Unable to find blocked documents in /N/SAPSLL/MENU_LEGAL

Hi Experts,
I've used the following transaction for GTS Menu: /N/SAPSLL/MENU_LEGAL where I selected Sanctioned party list screening Tab selected Display blocked documents under Documents. But, I did not find any blocked sales documents which I created. Kindly advise me is there any settings to be done?

Hi ,
Can you help understand the steps to confirm that the document was blocked... Ideally , a blocked document will appear under the report.
You need to first confirm that the document came into GTS.
You can actually check the current status of the document in "Display All Documents " section available under the same navigation path.. The log will tell you whats the current status of the document.
The "Audit trail for document" can confirm if this document was ever blocked and further steps carried on the same.

Save As and document format settings

Is there a way to tell Pages when I do Save As to automatically choose the folder the current document came from?

If you perpetually want to save to Word by default use Word, NeoOffice, OpenOffice or Bean. The last 3 are all free.

Saving Pages to Word as your principle file format is asking for trouble as Pages is not Word and that file may not save everything the way you expect.

What I need to know is the following: I tried to convert a pdf file that I received from email into a Word document and it worked ok, however I tried to convert another pdf file that had been scanned into pdf and the spreadsheet in the document came as a non-editable image and I could not work on it. I would like to know how to proceed in order to turn it editable in Word. Is it possible through the Adobe ExportPDF?
