Document changes when printed

When printing a pdf a date in my file is changing. On the screen it shows 2006 when it prints it is 2007. How can I get it to print correctly?

And in English? If you're referring to PDF's in Acrobat, you need to enable the "Markup" option in teh print dialog to print comments, redaction or text changes. Some of that wil lrequire saving the document before printing, too.

Default printer on domain computers changes when print spooler is restarted

Hi.
It has been brought to my attention that all of my Windows 8.1 machines on our domain change their network default printers when the print spooler is restarted. Printers are being assigned by group policy, using the print management tool, as Branch
Office Direct IP printers.
A little bit of research indicates that the default printer is changing "BY DESIGN!!!???" to the last printer being assigned in the OU. Gotta say....if this is by design, it's a bad design! As well as unacceptable. Then I discover
that the default printer precedence is something like 1. Locally installed printers, 2. Software installed printers, 3. Network printers in reverse order that they are assigned in the OU. COME ON!! I.e., changing the order of assignment in the
OU is useless because local printers and software installed printers are still taking precedence, and on every log in the users default printers are being changed to something as useless as WebEx Document Loader.
I know this is a radical thought.....but how about if the default printer stays set to whatever the user sets it to?? That way, they won't hate me and curse me. Selfish, I know.
I am shocked by the lack of information that I am finding for this simple and sensible option, and am accordingly loosing faith in Microsoft by the day, and beginning to feel that the end really is nigh for this platform, because I seriously don't appreciate
absorbing hostility that is better directed at them, and self-preservation instincts do eventually kick in.
Can somebody tell me how to prevent user selected default network printers on domain computer's from changing when the users log off, before the lynch mob gets here?
To be clear, these are domain computers. Users are not administrators. Printer assignments are made via group policy. Users do not wear glass slippers (so solutions requiring manipulation of special footwear will not be effective).

Please refer to this similar thread Althornin's solution to add the registry to see if it could be fixed.
Go and edit the users registry hive:
HKEY_USERS\USERS_SID_HERE\Printers\Connections
Found old printer connections there that were no longer valid. Upon clearing those out, after a reboot, the problem went away.
I also cleared out the HKEY_USERS\USERS_SID_HERE\Printers\Settings key - the users had old printer setting sid there also.

Photo size changes when printing

This is my problem. When I view a photo in my event, I am happy with the image. When I go to print, I find that parts of my image are cut off. It looks like the image zoomed in a little. How can I print the image exactly like it is displayed in the event? Also, this doesn't seem to change when I print different sizes, parts of the original image are always missing on the print.

Crop the photo to 11 x 14 before printing. That will insure that what you see in the cropped image will end up in the printed 11 x 14 image.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. I can't figure out why my saturation/contrast changes when printing. Any ideas?

I am noticing, that when I open a RAW image into PS, and all I need to do is slightly edit or crop, and I do not change anything, all seems fine on the screen. However, when I print, the photo is dull, unsaturated and less contrasted, even though I did not alter the image in those ways at all. I need to know how to change this from happening!

Yes. I have tried to repair it, but it still didn't work. I had to completely uninstall - reboot - then do a clean install. Works beautifully for a few weeks, then nothing.

Why the control parameters changed when print smart form

1) In your smartform design, how many pages do you have? (Check the page format and margins, have a look at form painter
    as well)
2) Check out the navigation from one page to another page.
3) Debugg the form and check at what point the last page is been added.

Color/tone of photo changes when printing...

I'm trying to print a photos for an invitation, its a black and white photo with a pink background. The black and white levels have been adjusted to a very light tone since I have to put vellum paper on top with the invitation wording... When I send the picture to be printed at the pharmacy photo lab the picture does not look the same as on my screen. Its always darker than the work I created. Am I saving this in the wrong format??? Should I try something different? Any tips will be greatly appreciated

Also, the best way to do this is not to adjust the black and white levels but to adjust the opacity of the image. You will need to make the background layer into a regular layer (double click it in the layers palette and say yes to the dialogs), then use the opacity slider to lighten it.
Or alternatively you could add multiply layers till you reach the required lightness, then flatten the image.

Colour changes when printing

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this - I have a Nikon D60, and shoot in RAW. I edit in ACR 4.4 and until recently was very happy with the results. I am now finding that when I have prints commercially done, red is not printing as expected.No matter how bright or saturated I make it, the result prints a muddy brownish pink colour. Skin tones are very bland, but any images without red in them are printing perfectly.
Has anyone any suggestions?

Printing locally is OK but at the commercial printer, things fail. Correct?
Find out what your Printer is expecting (tif/jpg, 8/16bit, sRGB/AdobeRGB) etc... and go from there.
You are likely giving them something that they can't cope with. You could also ask them. This is the
kind of problem they should be able to solve quickly.

Printing barcode numbers: size changes when printed through different ways

here we have a Reports program that uses 3of9.ttf barcode font.
When barcode numbers are printed directly through Reports, size is correct - however, if the same Reports is called through a Forms program (that is, called through RUN_PRODUCT Forms built-in), size is printed wrong.
I'm relating Forms and Reports version numbers and products below, as taken from Help/About option - I think this might help, since maybe it could be a bug from a previous version.

How can page margins be changed when printing from Firefox for Mac OS X? (This is easy to do on the Windows version.)

Page margins can be adjusted from the page setup menu in the Windows version of Firefox, but there does not appear to be an equivalent menu in the Mac version.

I'm not familiar with the printing options using Windows. I've found this article on editing print options for a Mac: [[Printing a web page]]
That shows you how to shrink the page, and to edit page headers and footers. I'm hoping that covers the margins you were hoping to change.

Font changes when printing from CVI OI

We generate text reports and like to have them displayed and printed
using a fixed width font (the default in TestStand). From the
sequence editor, selecting the print button from the report tab of a
completed execution yields a correctly printed page. However, the
print button on the ReportView in the CVI Full-Featured Operator
Interface prints with a variable width font. The reports appear
on screen correctly in both the sequence editor and the OI.

There is one workaround.
You can change the report Font for text reports from your current font to Courier New.
That should print correctly.

Character's format change when printing email

Wireless printing from my iPad is perfect. One small problem: when I print an incoming or outgoing email, the printed result is in much langer (bold) characters for the body of the Text, while the healing ('from', 'subject', 'date'...) remains the same.
Can this be avoided?

I understand that when you print an email from your iPad the characters printed are not in the same format as on the devices display. I would like to help.
If you are using the built in Airprint feature to print your emails, then it can't be avoided.
The iPad is using a generic print driver that is meant to work with the majority of printers.
If you would like to make adjustments to your printouts, try the HP ePrint app.

Font is changed when print out and other issues

Hi,
I need help with some of my issues with Diadem. I am quite new with Diadem.
I use Diadem to generate report from teststands. The data is passed from Teststands - VI using Diadem connectivity toolkit and a VB script is called to generate PDF and print out the computer.
1. First issue: the font on the diadem looks different with the one is printed out or in pdf. The font in pdf is bigger than in Diadem. You can look in my screenshot.
2. Second issue: sometime it cannot export pdf and the error message is Cannot open the .pdf file.
3. I need to get the channel name and the content of it in the script. Could you please tell me how to do it?

Do all PDF documents expand in size greatly when printing?

When I print a PDF document and watch it in the print que in Windows, the size of the document shows greatly larger than the original size of the PDF file. (sometimes 50 times larger) Is this normal for ALL PDF documents? Is it always this way or are there settings that can be changed when printed or when the PDF is created that can reduce the eventual size when printed? Thanks

It really depends upon the printer and your printer settings. If you have print as image set or you are printing to a inkjet printer whose driver requires everything converted to dot before getting the to the printer, then yes the file size can expand to 50, 100, or 1000 times the size depending upon the resolution required by the printer. You can keep things smaller by printing at a lower resolution.

Page Numbering when printing a multiple sheet document

I moved this post from Pages after accidentally posting it there earlier...
In considering an approach to solving a problem posted earlier today I thought about using the Continue (Page Numbers) from Previous Sheet setting in the Sheet Inspector to display a sequence of numbers on a series of sheets. All looked good on the live document, but when Printing to PDF or Exporting to PDF, I get the same first page number on each sheet. Further, the number on that first page depends on which Sheet was selected when I did the export. All pages and sheets print/export, it's just the page numbering that seems anomalous.
Let's say I have a document with three two-page sheets. On the live document, page numbers are 1 and 2 on the first sheet, 3 and 4 on the second sheet, etc. Just what I would expect. When printed to PDF or exported to PDF, I get 1,2,1,2,1,2 or 3,4,3,4,3,4 or 5,6,5,6,5,6 depending on which sheet is selected as I begin the export or print dialog.
Any one else seeing this? Is there a logical explanation for it? This is on a MBP with Snow Leopard. I haven't tried printing to paper to see what happens there.

Not the same results, but I did get weird ones.
Using iBook & OS X 10.4.11.
Three two page sheets, each with a single table. Sheet 2 and sheet three produced by Duplicating Sheet 1.
Live display shows pn/pc as
1/6, 2/6, 3/6, 4/6, 5/6, 6/6
Preview (sheet 3 selected), created by clicking preview button in Print dialogue, shows
1/6, 2/6, 3/4, 4/4, 5/6, 6/6
Preview (sheet 1 selected) shows same as above.
Preview (sheet 2 selected) shows same as live.
1/6, 2/6, 3/6, 4/6, 5/6, 6/6
Repeating print to preview with s2, s1, s3 selected gives correct results each time.
