Documents in Firefox format do not open automatically in the preview pane. Why? Also, I don't want my documents changed from the original format. How do I change them back and how do I keep this from happening again. I don't want to have to select a different format every time I try to open a document. That is a pain in the neck. I want to "click to open" and the document be in it's original format. If necessary I will go back to one of the other browsers I have used in the past. As I don't want multiple browsers on my computer it would be necessary to uninstall Firefox. I like it so far other than you all hijacking my documents and altering the way they open. You also might want to remember that even the "legitimate" folks on the internet are seen as predatory, i.e., gathering information, tricking us into installing crap we don't want or need, and in some cases, requiring a specific program to open a specific document. I'd be working very hard to show you are trustworthy. If you have a solution to this and it is complex then you will be wasting your time and my time trying to explain it. You guys created this so, if I'm going to use Firefox, you fix it on your end. FYI, if I have to uninstall Firefox I will, when asked, strongly recommend against using your service. Thank you.
Do you mean PDF documents?
The installer was supposed to add Firefox as an ADDITIONAL viewer for PDFs, not as the DEFAULT viewer. Sorry you were affected by this glitch and hopefully they will figure out why some systems get changed this way.
You can try this fix suggested by a user in another thread:
# Open Adobe Reader / Acrobat*
# Edit->Preferences
# In the Categories column click 'General'
# Near the bottom of the page click the button marked 'Select Default PDF Handler'
# In the dialog, select 'Adobe Reader XI' (or Adobe Acrobat, as the case may be) and click 'Apply'
# A Windows Configuration screen will appear. Allow it to do its stuff (takes a few minutes), then restart your computer when prompted.

Document change via workflow log.......
Dear all
In our scenario, I am creating a word document in workflow.After creation its going to first level approver for his decision.consider he is not executed the doc.
When I check the status of document from the workflow log(from :Work item executed by me), its allowing me to change the doc.If I made any changes its updating the document,which is already waiting for decision.......Is this correct?Is there any possibilities to restict the document changes from the workflowlog view?
Not only for Word doc.......other doc also.........I feel you can restrict this by putting some authorization. May be there is something you can restrict in the HOLD Document option.

How can I send scanned files, which are documents changed from doc to PDF, as documents that can be edited if the recipient doesn't have Adobe capabilities?

If you still have the .doc files, it might be best to send those to your recipients so they can be edited. Otherwise, you can use ExportPDF to convert the PDF files back to .doc format. But, again, that step would be unnecessary if you have the .doc files.

What are History Documents, Cleared documents, Change Documents and Potential documents in PGS.
I need to retrieve history documents from tables BSIK, VBKPF and RBKP. Which fields are considered as History documents from these tables?
How to retrieve Cleared documents from Table BSAK? Which fields from this table can be considered as cleared documents.
How to retrieve Change documents from Table CDPOS? Which fields from this table can be considered as change documents.
How to retrieve Potential duplicate documents from tables BSIK, VBKPF, RBKP? Which fields from this table can be considered as potential duplicate documents.In order to include audio and video, you need to export it into a format that supports this, and you need to have a program to open it that supports audio and video in exactly the way it was included (not all flavors of format have the same features).
PDF does not do this. I'm not sure about .doc (but I doubt it).
EPUB does support audio and video, but I have no idea how easy it is to use (nor how reliable). -

The OBJECTCLAS is BELEG.
Use FM CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ_HEADERS
with objectclass = 'BELEG'
objectid = (concatenate client + company code + doc no + fiscal year)
Then loop at the header and use FM
CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ_POSITIONS
to get the CDPOS values

Document Change - Change in assignment field
Hi
There are 1350 documents. In all these documents, i need to change assignment field for one line item (and not all line items). I need to put WBS elements in this assignment field.
I cannot do manually for 1350 documents. Also i cannot go for mass change through FBL3n --> Environment --> Document Changes. This is because all documents will not same WBS elements.
Let me know alternate solution.
Only solution which i thought was LSMW. But its changing my all line items in each document. This i do not want.

The change logs were captured in DBTABLOG for table ZWPRFRUND (in transaction ZWPG).
The only report which is currently used to get the change logs is RSVTPROT
Now my requirement is,
we need to display the change logs in the form of ALV.
We should divert the changes to CDHDR table instead of DBTABLOG, then we can use the RSSCD100 to display change logs.
The Important items for the change LOG needed in case of changes to table in ZWPG are,DATE ,TIME,USER,FIRST NAME,FILED NAME,OLD VALUE,NEW VALUE
The above fields need to be displayed in the grid. In the above list FIELD NAME denotes any field of the table in the transaction in ZWPG

Document changes place in meeting workspace
We have a recurring events meeting workspace in SharePoint 2010. If we upload the document for some date, this document is found on that meeting events folder in document library. But after some days that document changes place and it is found in the first
meeting event's folder. This is very random behaviour.
Any idea on this issue?Hi ,
According to your description, my understanding is that Document is
moved from one meeting event’s folder to the first meeting event’s folder in your meeting workspace.
I try to reproduce your scenario in my SharePoint 2010 environment but it is fine. For your issue, you can go to your meeting workspace document library -> document library settings -> advanced settings,
clear the Custom Send to Destination setting.
If your issue persists, you can delete the recurring event and re-create it with workspace and see the result.

Create a new report to display contract document changes
I got an assignment to create a new report which must show the document changes in Functional Areas SD
Requirements are
1. create customised report that will allow them to list the changes made in contract documents with more
ranges options on the report selection parameters
Basically this customised report will retrive all the changes made in sales contract documents within a plant,date ranges and other selection parameters.
Testing scenarios
Test 1 : create a new contract document. Make changes to the contract line item information such as order qty, add in a new line item , apply rejection code, etc.
The report layout must shows

Standard Workflow(Approve Document Change) in Error.
Hi Experts,
I have activated a standard workflow from IMG. It is a workflow for approval of Document change (WS21000093). I have assigned the agent as being the workflow initiator. After workflow is triggered, I've executed the work item (approve doc ) from my SAP inbox and it always goes into an error (Read last error).
Can anyone suggest the cause of this error or how to debug this?

If you succeed to see the changes via FB03 transactions and cannot view them in the tables, then your selection parameters are incorrect. To see the right parameters, you can activate the trace (via ST05) and view changes via FB03 for one document. Then, by checking the trace you will see what you enter wrong when you select data from the table.
Alternatively, use S_ALR_87012293 report for mass view of changed documents.
