Document creation statistic data

Hi,
I've been task to create report that will show some kind of statistic about document creation, by date, username etc in our ERP system. First thing I came up with is to pull documents header data and count them in query designer.
I know i need data from EKKO and VBAK tables for purchasing and sales, any other?
Also if you have any better suggestion ...?

So you mean to say that you need to create a report which will give you the count of creation date based on different type of orders.
You have only considered--Purchase orders and sales orders..How about Production orders and Planning orders.
Please think about them as well.

Stop Creation of Billing Document in Future date

Hi Experts
We create Billing Document in VF01 on basis of Outbound delivery, system create Billing Document in current date.
but when we choose future date that time also system create billing Document l in future date .
Issue : While create Billing Document in future date system should not allow to do the same.System should give error message while creating Billing document in future date.
please reply as early as possible

Document creation

hi guys,
i have one requirement. I want to upload thousands of technical manuals in to SAP . So what i did is i made one BDC for document creation and uploaded in the system. Now the problem is the doucments created have status create. By BDC i am not able to change the status to in work and released. Without releaseing the document i am not able to use it in equipment master data.
Can anyone kow how to do the mass change of documents where i can change the status to release from create. Or any other program for this

Its simple ask the concerned developer to make a modification in the upload program to open in change and set the document status one by one means opened in change make the status Work Request and save than again open in change set the status In Work then again and so on .... unless the status will become released.
or
In customization set the status directly to released at first step.

ECC document creation timing for mismatch values in ECC and Bw report.

hi gurus,
i am extracting data from ECC at 10.pm (ist) and my process chain should start to load data at 2.30 am (ist) then in morning i am refreshing BW report try to reconcilied from my extracted ECC but i am finding so many mismatsh values. so i want to know that record (document creation time )from BW refresh is after or before Process chain start or after ECC extraction,if this case record posted after ECC so that its showing me mismatch in BW and it will populate in ECC on next day.please tell me step to freeze on which record come to me on next.

Hide document or posting date?

there is a posting date and document date is there any way to hide any one of them coz
the users forget to change both of them (change one of them and forget the other)

Hi,
Document date is the date of creation of original document.
Posting date is the date when you want the document to be actually posted. Choosing posting date depends on the period that is open for posting. So, the period and fiscal year updating the accounts specified in the document or cost element are derived from the posting date.
You need both of them. Its business decision which dates has to be filled in each.
Users have to be oriented to get used to this and input the right date as per their business need.

Error when creating table (Document contains no data)

Hi,
I've installed htmldb 2.0 and after playing with it for a while, everything seems to be ok, except
for table creation. No matter I use the sql command console or the object creation wizard, the
situation is the same: i can arrive until the last confirmation page, and after submitting the browser
complains about a page with no data (Document contains no data).
I can create other things, such as views, functions, sequences, even applications. Is just table the one giving problems. Can somebody tell me where are the relevant logs, in order to trace better the situation? Or, if you have any other suggestion (maybe I missed something during the installation, or things like that).

Sure, this is part of the weird thing: nothing is displayed when this error happens. However, yesterday, a friend of mine made the same test (with another browser) and I saw some messages like this ones on the error_log*:
[Tue Nov 22 15:12:01 2005] [error] [client 201.138.102.50] [ecid: 1132693921:192.168.1.1:24300:0:155,0] mod_plsql: /pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept HTTP-500 Error Reading Data from Client!!
At least, they are a http-500 errors ... while in my case, I can not receive any answer at all.
But this was yesterday, today ... every time I reproduce the situation, the error_log does not move.

Hello Experts,
I am working on credit management and am in need of creating sales order, delivery and billing document.
Can some one send me the screen shots or any doc which outlines order,delivery and billing document creation.

Order Create:
Transaction VA01
Give the order type , If standard order use OR or ZOR, which ever is maintained
Then give the sold to and press enter
In the Items screen Give the material and quantity and press enter. This should be enough to create an order, if u need u can give order reasons...etc. Then save the Order. Note down the order number.
Go to VL01N-
and give the above order for which u are doing delivery, In the pick quantity enter the amount in the order and press enter. and make sure the delievry date should be the same in the Sales Order Schedule line- REquested delivery date. Save the document.Note down the document number
Go to VL02N - Open the above delivery document and click on PGI - done
Now go to VF01 and this should bring up the delivery document number., If it doesnt , give the delivery document number and hit enter. then save the document. Billing is done.

What happens in Background whese two Updates Happen ?
What is Synchronous , Asynchronous Update ?

the document updata is nothing but the database update.
statistical update is used for statistival data i.e which is used for reporting .
synchronous update(v1) means the document and statistical update happens at the same time it is used for time critical data such as credit and debit.
if any one fails the entire process is rolled back.
asynchrionus update menans Document Update & Statistical Update(v2) is carrried out separately i.e not at same .the prcoess is not rolled back.

Issue in creation of data from extended segment in background mode

Dear all,
I am facing an issue in creation of data in receiving system using IDOC for an xtended matmas segment(Extended for classification view in user exit).The issue is that the idoc is received successfully in r3eceiving system but not created successfuly in data base .(Though it is shown green/successful).When i execute this from we19 the data is created successfuly in data base.I will be thankful if you can guide me resolve issue.

you can use CALL TRANSFORMATION id, which will create a exact "print" of the ABAP data into the XML.
If you need to change the structure of XML, you can alter your ABAP structure to match the requirements.
Of course you can create your own XSLT but that is not that easy to describe and nobody will do that for you around here. If you would like to start with XSLT, you´d better start the search.

Hi,
No there is no standard report available for this requirement. You may need to develop a Z report.
J1ARE_AGE gives u the status after creation of ARE1.

Error message: "This document contains photoshop data which appears to be damaged."

I saved the file I was working on by choosing "Save" from the "File" menu. Unfortunately after 10 min as I saved my work my PC had "issues" and needed to be manually shut off. I was trying to open the psd file after restarting my computer and I get this error message: "This document contains photoshop data which appears to be damaged. Continue and ignore the photoshop data?" I clicked okay and then I get just a black screen. No Layers or any pictures.
I have tried to preview in Graphic Converter, in Illustrator, in ACDSee, etc... Nothing... I just get a black screen. Also, I have tried file recovery programs: Stellar Phoenix PSD Repair V1.0 and Advanced PSD Repair v1.4
The program Stellar Phoenix PSD Repair V1.0 was able to recover only BMP picture 3.4 KB, it is so tiny that you can't see anything on the picture.
I also have tried to install plugin "psdrecover", for Adobe Photoshop. Unsuccessfully for some reason. The plugin does not want to be installed into the "plugins" folder. I did follow the instructions.
I am using Photoshop 6 version and Windows 7 operating System.
I am in dire need of help. I've been working on it for days. Is there any way to recover that file back?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you're likely out of luck. We almost never hear of anyone recovering image data from a damaged PSD.
Some thoughts:
1. Set up backups.
2. Get in the habit of saving your master file in several different locations as you work on it.
3. Consider upgrading to Photoshop CS6, which auto-saves your work in the background. I'm not sure whether it would have recovered the data in your particular case, but it's possible.
4. Don't feel bad - go back and do the image again, and I'll bet it comes out even better in less time.

Creation of Data Element

Hi,
I am working on special project of Automation of all utility billing and housing system for a big company in SAP.
For that I have to create 26 tables and obviously I am creating a lot of dataelements.
Now the problem is my quality dept says that I should use the inbuilt data elements and refrain from creating new ones. In this case the field label is not matching my field. He says that who is going to see the table and says that you can change the field description in reports as you like. Is it justified.
I can see that there are more than 500 standard datalements created for a char field of length 4 by SAP. but none of the description matches my field description. if the case is of reducing the load then does sap recommend not to create z data elements.
Can we create dataelement just for the sake of field label and what is the other purpose of a dataelement if not
How much load will be generated by creating a dataelement.
kindly give some insight into the need to create dataelements.

If your Quality people are that much particular about creation of data elements, there is one way to solve this problem. Use standard data elements.
I know here you will get a doubt that after creating a maintenance generator you will not be able to see the description whatever you want in SM30. For this follow the below procedure.
While creating maintenance generator you will give the function group name right, go to SE80 -> and give the function group name there -> double click on the screen number of maintenance -> click on element list tab -> click on 'Texts/I/O templates' tab -> now against the field names under 'Text or I/O Field' column remove the value '+____________' and type the field description there -> repeat the procedure for all the fields -> now save, check and activate the screen as well as function group.
Now if you go to SM30, you can see the field description for every field.
This is somewhat time consuming, but it may help you.
