Document Distribution process with email ids.

Hi Experts,
When Documents are distributed with Distribution Type INT on mail id. I am able to distributed & receive that on mail ids without attachment(appl. file).
But if I want to send documents with attached original application file then I am getting error
"Error uploading u2026u2026u2026. (Path of original application file)"
What I am missing for Distributions of documents with attach original application files on email ids.

according to the mentioned error message, please check if the originals are checked in to a storage category.
Further please verify that you have maintained the value '2' in field 'File processing' in customizing of INT. You will find this customizing under
Cross-Application Components >> Document Management >> Document Distribution >> Distribution Type >> Define Distribution Types

In the standard case you need to folow below procedure
1. Use TC SOCP to create external recipients. you may need BASIS help in this.
2. Create recipient list using TC CVI1.
2. Assign the documents to be distributed to this list. Document should be created before this step.
3. Assign External recipients to this list.
4. Distribute the document using CVI8.
5. TC CVI9 will help you to know the status of distribution.
Most important factor is that your SAP standard workflow which drives the distribution to external mail ids should be working. Please contact BASIS team if it has any problem. Without this distribution is not possible.

Form distribution error with email client

Hi All-
I have an extremely frustrating problem. I have designed a form in LiveCycle ES 8.2.1 for users to fill out and submit via xml. I would like to use Acrobat Pro 9.1.0 to track and collect responses from this form. When I test the original form, the submit button works perfectly and it opens my email client (Groupwise) attaches the xml and populates the To, Subject, and Body fields perfectly.
The problem comes when I try to use Acrobat to distribute and track the forms. It creates a filed called 'form_distributed' that adds a bunch of code that completely screws up my form submission. When the form_distributed is filled out, and the user clicks the submit button, Groupwise is invoked, but I get a 'Check Names' dialog box that states
"Windows Messaging does not recognize "1. Double-click the attachment".
After I click cancel on that dialog box, the JavaScript Debugger shows:
Exception in line 63 of function top_level, script XFA:form1[0]:p1[0]:Button1[0]:click
RaiseError: One of the specified recipients is not resolvable.
Doc.submitForm:63:XFA:form1[0]:p1[0]:Button1[0]:click

The distributed version has this extra code inserted

Are these lines of code always inserted when the form is distributed?
How can I distribute and track these responses?
It seems to be reading
"[email protected]?subject=Submitting Completed Form&body=Instructions to add this form to a responses file:\n"
as the first email address and then getting hung up on the body and interpreting it as an incomplete email address.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is this in the wrong forum? The problem I am having is with Acrobat's Distribution feature.

Document Distribution DMS, problem with standard workflow WS20000104

Hi,
In our document distribution process we stacked with the problem, when we run the document distribution (via tcode CVI8) we got the error of workflow WS20000104. After some search at SCN we found that there is the similar issue, described in the thread: Document distribution workflow in error. Solution which was offered and marked as worked is to enable/activate Result Parameter check box, but in our case this check box is disabled and when we try to edit the BOR in order to activate Result Parameter check box the system asked to input Access Code.
Is there any way (note) to enable this check box without access code?

In transaction SWU3 there is the following situation:
Maintain Runtime Environment is completely green, including sub-categories;
Maintain Definition Environment is red because of Check Entries from HR Control Tables;
Maintain Additional Settings and Services is red because of Maintain Web Server;
Classify Tasks as General is completely green, including sub-categories;
Guided Procedures is red because of Maintain Guided Procedures Gateway.
Could you, please, explain what do you mean under «workflow settings are activated», how parameters described above are related to workflow and may be related to our problem?
If described situation can be assumed as activated, what should we do now? Otherwise, how to make these settings to be activated?

BPEL not initiating with Email attachment

Hi all,
I am trying to initiate a bpel process based on email by following the link below:

I have succeeded in initiating the bpel process with email, following this link.
But my problem is that, whenever I am sending email with attachment, my BPEL process is not initiating.
My BPEL process is initiating only when the email is received in the inbox without attachment.
The attachment which I am sending is very small in size, like 500 bytes.
For this, I also tried increasing the heartbeatinterval to 240 in bpel.xml activation agent code, but no luck.
I dont have any clues about what is happening.
Any solutions?
I am using :
Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3
SOA Suite 10.1.3.3
Please help me out.

Document Distribution with attached documents coming across in BIN format

Hello all,
I have 3 dist types defined in the system. RML, RMA, and INT
RMA sends to SAP Office and includes a link to the document defined in DMS and seems to work correctly.
RML sends the document to SAP Office as an attachment but the attached documents always is in BIN format and cannot be opened by the application.
INT sends to my external email but has the same problem as above, the attachment is always in a BIN format and cannot be opened.
This works the same with several different applications in DMS, Word, Excel, Text Files, etc.
Can anyone give me an idea what I may be missing in config that is keeping this from working correctly. We are running SAP ECC 6.0

Please check the following customizing in your system:
1) Please check you have maintained suitable length of syntax group for
Windows NT. Please maintain it more than 20.
Please proceed as follows to correct this entry:
Run the tcode SPRO
Implementation Guide for R/3 Customizing (IMG)
Cross-Application Components
Document Management System
   Document Distribution
    General Settings
     Platform-Independent File Names
      Maintain file names and file paths across all clients
       Syntax group definition
2) Please check the 'File processing' value for distribution type 'INT'.
Please set it as '2'.
Further please check note 355048 and as mentioned your settings in transaction DC30 for the workstation applications.

Email document distribution PDF attachment conversion error

I have configured document distribution via emai with an attachment. My DMS documents have a single PDF original attachment.
The email transmits fine through SAPConnect, however when I open the attachment Adobe tells me the file cannot be opened, and is corrupt.
The issue seems to be in SAPConnect conversion, converting BIN to PDF. Any suggestions on the conversion function module or sample code for a fm to do the conversion are appreciated.

regarding the information with the BIN extension I would kindly ask you
to implement the SAP note 873597.
Further please check the following settings which helped to solve
such issue in the past successfully:
1. Go to transaction : FILE
2. Select DOCUMENT_DISTRIBUTION
3. Double click on "Syntax group definition"
4. You will find the file length defined for "WINDOWS NT
5. Change the length value to 70.
6. Also for As/400 change the length to 40.

Billing document with email output

Hi,
I have completed all the config to get my billing documents to output via email. However i cannot get VF31 to automatically generate the output for these. Only works if i manually assign output with VF02.
Can anyone advise in simple steps what needs to be done?

Hi,
If you give the processing mode as "1(First Processing)" then it will be ignored because the status is green.
Goto the T.Code "VF03".Enter the billing document number.
Goto Goto>Header>Output.
Check the status light against your output type.If it is green means that the output is processed for the first time.In that case you have to select the processing mode as "2(Repeat Processing)".
So that your output will be processed again.
In our case,the status is turned to gren because,you have set your entry as "4(Send immediately (when saving the application))" for "Date/Time" field.If every thing is correct regarding your output(configuration etc..) then the output will be processed successfully.Else it will be processed errorously.In your case,every thing is correct.So it is processed successfully.
If you select the option as "1/2/3" for "Date/Time" field.It will be in yellow light.If you are doing manually,then click on "Further data" and maintain the value as "4" for the field "Dispatch time".Again it will be processed successfully.
If the status is yellow,then you can select the processing mode as "1" in "VF31" T.Code.

Part Orders with "ER" ststus in Document Distribution

Hi All,
I am distributing the documents to Internal User. When I distribute the document, Initail order is successfully created. But the document is appearing in the Document folder in the Sap inbox, instead its coming in the workflow folder in box "Process erroneous distribution package " for the respective document distribution number.
I activated the Event type linkage. Workflow is going properly but its finishes as the Partial oder reaches to the Status "ER". By default all the document distributed are taking the same "ER" status route only.
I tested in 3 clients, this problem, is occuring in only one client where others are going fine with the document distribution.
Need suggestions on this.

Problem with again and again returned retired application to distribution process

Hi,
I have strange problem. In my SCCM enviroment, I have retired application (Flash Player). For time to time, this application is appear on some Distribution Points with status "In process". Application is not deployed.
Why it is still returning to distibution on DP? How to remove it pernamently?

Probably I have found issue...
I have found issue appear only on few DP's during system deployment. Next I have compared it with DP's where this issue not appear and found I have few DP's where "retired" application is missing. So, when system deployment process starting, and in TS is
task where is defined installaltion of this application, DP trying download missing content. Becuse it is "retired" application, thi sprocess is still in "In process" state.
Now I need just only check TS where retired application appear and exchange it with newer version.

hello, is there a way to make a word processing document in pages with !" inch margins? i ask this because there is a box where you can write text and the you start your document, but it takes more than 1 inch from the top, can that box be removed? and why whatever you write in the box appears in every page of the paper? is there a way to avoid this? sorry I do not use computers very often and i just want to write an essay for my english clss, thanks for your help.

The box is called Headers and is used for thing that will be repeated on several pages like page numbering and names etc.. You can uncheck it in the Inspector > Document tab

TS4139 I had 2 MobileMe email addresses, but only went thru ICloud process with one (my main address). Now the secondary address is not working with iCloud. Did I have to go thru the process with both addresses? Can I get that address back?

It was totally separate. I just now went back to a previous email from Apple to that secondary address which urged me to transition to iCloud. I followed the link and it prompted me thru the process and the address is now able to send/receive emails. Thanks.

Document distribution with restriction on Status of the DIR

Hi all
In my business scenario, I need to restrict Document distribution based on Status of the DIR.(i.e) A user should be able to distribute a DIR of a particular status(RL-Release) he cannot the distribute the DIR in status(IP-In process).
I have maintained the following values in the auth. object,
<b>C_DRAW_TCD</b>
ACTVT : Create or generate, Change, Display, Distribute
DOKAR : DRW
<b>C_DRAW_TCS</b>
ACTVT : Display, Distribute
DOKAR : DRW
DOKST : RL
But still I am able to distribute the document in IP status(which I have not specified in the auth. object C_DRAW_TCS)
Is there any change in what i have done or any new object to be added?
Help me in finding out the solution.

I have generated the profile and assigned to the correct user. In ST01, when I tested the autorization checks, all auth. objects checks are fine except C_DRAW_TCS.
For C_DRAW_TCS the auth. check is happening for only "03 Display" activity.It is not happening for the activity "59 Distribute". I have maintained the auth. object for both Display and Distribute. as follows
C_DRAW_TCS
ACTVT : Display, Distribute
DOKAR : DRW
DOKST : RL
But the auth. check is carried out for only display.
C_DRAW_TCS RC=0 DOKAR=DRW;DOKST=RL;ACTVT=03; and it displays Authorization check successful. For distribute the auth. check itself is not carried out.
Help me in sorting out the problem.
