In Sales - A/R > Sales Reports > Document Drafts Report >>
In selection criteria I selected full Sales - A/R area:
In Document Drafts Report, there is a column about which I want to ask
Status >> Values: a. Open b. closed
Can you please tell me when system close the Document and when system keeps it open ?

Hi,
First of all Happy new year!
The closed status in the document draft indicates that you have added the document from the draft into to original.
You can manually rt.click the draft and can change it to closed status and vice versa by selecting restore.
Once you have posted the draft to original you need to delete the draft document inorder to avoid duplication.

Hi,
The 'Direct/indirect delivery' is only meaningful for orders. It changes along with the setting under Order-logistic tab-approved check box.

Open a draft report via Code

How could I open an saved Draft report via API/UI.
I have draft an report via API/UI and now I would show this report on Desktop/SAP
I would open it via code
z.B. application.forms.items("")
because I get the Docnum of my before safed draft but It wouldn´t shown at the SAP now so I have to open it via code

Ok let me explain the other times.
I have a parked document, I want this now to open it via code (programming).
I have this code today:

So yet I have an parked Document but when I open the SBO again there is no Document Opened? When I do this prozedere via SBO there will be at least the parked Document opened.

Question for Outgoing Payment Drafts Report

Experts.I use a non-superuser to login SBO, I couldn't choose user for payment drafts report, but I could choose user for Document Drafts. How counld I choose a user for Payment drafts report as a non-superuser?

Your Super User was Assigned No Authorization for Payments Drafts Report in Banking Module.
Create to Check this,
->> Login Super user in SAP.
->> Administration -> System Initialization -> Authorizations -> General Authorization.
->> Open the General Authorization Window and Check the below steps.
->> Select the Particular Non Super User.
-> Banking -> Outgoing Payments. -> Payments Drafts Report (Select the Full Authorizations).
Update the Authorizations.

Drill down in custom draft report

I am creating a custom report for just draft Inventory Transfer.

I create a draft Inventory Transfer with todays date as the posting date and document date. The report shows the Invnetory Transfer but I do not have a drill down arrow next to the document number. This report is essentially the same as the Document Draft Report for Inventory Transfers only.
If I open the draft document report, there is a drill down arrow for the document.
1. Inventory --> Inventory Reports --> Document Drafts Report
2. Select Inventory Transfer as the selection criteria
3. Click OK
The document number has the drill down arrow.
Why: I am trying to create an alert for all transfers that are to be shipped today. I am looking to have the inventory manager create Inventory Transfer drafts, then the warehouse will have an alert show all inventory transfers that are to be sent out. I want to be able to have the warehouse drill down to each inventory transfer and add it to the system when the transfer is shipped.

You have to include Docentry to drill down. DocNum is not an index of the table.

Cannot delete reports, unless I close and open Eclipse/Tomcat

Please can someone help me.
I cannot delete reports. I have not worked out all the details yet but this is what I got so far...
First I thought it was a problem with my tomcat setup, I would deploy my WAR and run the app. After
viewing the report and closing the browser. I would not beable to delete the rpt file until I close Tomcat.
I have now got a similar problem within Eclipse. (as far as I can tell its the same problem but even worse)
If i create any report and design it or even a new blank report. And not do anything to it, just save it as a blank report. I then try delete the
report. Right click and then delete.
After a few seconds Eclipse brings up an error and says it cant delete the file, the reason it gives is
Problems encountered while deleting resources.
Could not delete 'C:\WorkSpace\Project\WebContent\Report1.rpt'.
    Problems encountered while deleting files.
      Could not delete: C:\WorkSpace\Project\WebContent\Report1.rpt.
I have tried creating a fresh new project and only one report. And I still get the error.
If I try delete the whole project perminatly it also gives the same error. (But deletes the default crystal report)
I have to close Eclipse and then open it again before I can delete the rpt files properly.
I have not always had this problem. It used to work fine (dont ask what I have done since
cause I would not beable to tell, sorry)
Hopefully someone can help me, as this is driving me insane, and having to stop and start Tomcat every
time I want to deploy a new test version is not really an option.

Thanks for getting back to me.
My reports within Eclipse seem to be behaving themselves now and dying gracefully without and hassles,
so I dont know what fixed that problem as I have not made any changes or done any updates. One of
those things I guess.
With regards to TOMCAT still having a handle on the reports, As far as I am aware I am putting the
report source in session
Below is my JSP that loads the report
I store report name in session via a servlet and set all the DB connection details in the servlet also.

So far its very basic.
How best can I kill and clean up once the web page is closed. I have tried a few options but dont seem to
know the best way,
I tried "onbeforeunload" but I dont know if this is the best practice,
I have a session listener with sessionDestroyed but have not learnt how to envoke this correctly, or atleast when to correctly call it. And then I dont know how to clean out any loaded reports from here.
I have used
request.getSession().invalidate();
at the end of my JSP but that destoys everything everytime a user does anything on the page, (selecting any of the buttons on the report)
I am still learning everyday, and so I appoligise for questions that I should really know, am being pushed into the deep end here so trying my best :).

Sorry for bumping this back the list, but I am at my wits end as how best to "clean out" the reports
once they have been closed or timed out.
Surely there must be a way to release all objects (be it a actaul rpt file or the classes12.jar) once the
reports have been viewed and closed.
Even if there is something I can load via another servlet that destroys anything that has to do
with the main website.
Thanks and again sorry for moving this back up the list. If i get no replies, ill assume this is impossible
and that the only way to upload a new version of a report is to shut the whole Tomcat service and
make the changes.

Hi Pooja,
Try IW12, Display Document flow, if you are looking for a combined report of Order confirmations and Material status.There are various other reports related to order confirmations and Material status seperately. For material status you can use IWBK.

Rounding of document total in draft A/R Invoice

I am creating document draft of A/R invoice through user defined screen (DI API). after creating the draft document, when I see the actual draft document through document draft report in SAP, the document total has the difference of 0.1. where should the rounding be changed in system? document and system currency is INR. there is no rounding given in currency setup. i have not given any rounding in document also.
the values in user defined draft are :
total before discount : 19144.8
discount % = 40
total after discount : 11486.88
tax (12.5 % for all items in the document )
tax = 1435.86 (12.5% of total after discount)
rounding = 0.00
doctotal : 12922.74
when it is saved, the system draft document shows following value:
total before discount : 19144.8
discount % = 40
total after discount : 11486.88
tax = 1435.85 (12.5% of total after discount)
rounding = 0.00
doctotal : 12922.73
if you check, the value is different in tax field. system has calculated tax on 11486.8. whereas, I have calculated tax on 11486.88. and this only gives the difference of 0.1 in doctotal. now, anybody can guide on why this is so?

Run time total sum is not possible throgh FMS else you would have to to SDK work. But if you want it to be displayed then you can display it into the simple PLD. Whenever your client requires he will fill the AR invoice details and just click on the print preview. This way you can solve the purpose.......

Delete Payment Draft report

Im using sap b1 2005, pl 25.
In incoming Payement-->Payment Draft Report
and in Outgoing payment-->Payment Draft Report
There i can see a large nos of Closed docmuments, hence in view of same can you tell me if i delete those documents is there any complication in the system or not?
Is there any problem or not?

I don't thing it would harm your system since draft & documents saved on different table. It's save to be delete, as far as you are not need it anymore..

User cannot view her draft transaction at payment draft report.

Non superuser 'spyap' cannot view her own draft transaction created in SAP B1. When she login into the payment draft report, the user display on the screen is 'TNaqilah' but not her name.

Creating a ticket on the SAP Portal doesnt seem to work for me. This is because I have created a number of tickets there and nobody seems to bother with them or even replying to say that they are working on them and hence these forums really come handy.
What is strange is the fact that this occurs in some project databases and not all of them.

On Startup: Open Document, Export as PDF (Print), Close

I'm a software developer but I've rarely worked in JavaScript-like languages. I have a simple task I'd like to automate. The task will run infrequently -- maybe a dozen times on a busy day -- so performance isn't a priority.
My application generates a customizable 8"x5" label which is attached to large tanks. Sometimes users want smaller versions of the label, 8-up on 8.5"x11" stock. Our graphics department has an InDesign document that works perfectly. The document uses the Place command to place my label PDFs eight times in exact locations. InDesign automatically crops to the visible boundary, so all I have to do is replace my PDF with a new one.
I saved the graphic department's document as .idml which I edited to make the PDF paths relative rather than absolute. InDesign automatically regenerates the page when it opens the document.
Now I want to use InDesign to automate this task. The server version would be serious overkill; all I need is a script that will run when the document opens on startup. The script has to export the document as PDF (for print) to a fixed filename, then close InDesign.
An alternative would be to leave InDesign open, but I'd have to figure out how to send it an instruction to open the document, export it as PDF, then close the document.
I think the first technique can be done with just a couple of lines of JS. Any sample code showing how to do it would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a list of the actions the simplest script would have to implement:
Run script on document open. Wait for PDF import to complete.
File / Export...
Save as type: Adobe PDF (Print)
Enter file name
Click "Save"
Exit InDesign without saving document.
The more complicated version would leave InDesign running between documents, using these actions:
Open document
Wait for PDF import to complete.
File / Export...
Save as type: Adobe PDF (Print)
Enter file name
Click "Save"
Close document without saving it.

Report Editing Opens and Closes by itself not allowing to edit.

Hello Everyone,
I notice an issue with my SCCM 2012 R2 when trying to edit a report. When I right click on a report and select EDIT. Two windows pops up and closes in a blink of an eye. Bellow is a screenshot of these two windows that comes up.
Continuing tests I notice that if IEXPLORE is open before I click on EDIT report the report DOES open on the Report Builder.
It gotta have something to do with IE security settings that I can't find it.

Have you tried grundlichkeit's suggestion that editing the report from the browser? Can you open the report in Report Builder?
